Chiefs edging closer to another No. 1 overall draft pick
http://espn.go.com/blog/kansas-city-...all-draft-pick
It doesn't take a genius to realize this season is quickly getting away from the Kansas City Chiefs, who have lost four straight games and at 1-4 are on the bottom of the AFC West. It does take people of above average intelligence to figure out their chances for getting the No. 1 overall pick in next year's draft. Fortunately, the fine folks at ESPN Analytics fit into that category. They've crunched the numbers on what remains of the season for the Chiefs and the rest of the NFL teams and determined Kansas City will likely have the 12th pick in the draft. For those who aren't happy with that number, take hope. The Chiefs were projected to have the 15th pick, according to ESPN Analytics, before last week's loss to the Chicago Bears. So there's plenty of time for them to continue to slide. The Chiefs have a 2.2 percent chance to get the No. 1 overall pick, a 17 percent chance to pick in the top five and a 43 percent chance of selecting in the top 10. As of now, the Chiefs would pick somewhere in the top seven. They are one of six teams with a 1-4 record. The only team that's worse is the 0-5 Detroit Lions. The Lions would have the No. 1 overall pick as of now. But the Chiefs play against the Lions on Nov. 1 in London, so a (well-timed?) loss for the Chiefs that day can do wonders for their draft status. ESPN Analytics, by the way, gives the Chiefs a 41 percent chance of winning Sunday's game against the Vikings in Minneapolis. |
1st comment pretty much say's it all
Tyler Galloway · Aurora So they can draft another lineman bust. |
Analysts say the 2016 draft class is shaping up to be the second-worst in history, behind only the 2013 draft.
"Right now," said one NFL scout, "the top pick would probably be Chris Fitzpatrick, the long-snapper from Northwestern." |
Round 1: QB
Round 2: QB Round 3: QB Round 4: QB Round 5: QB Round 6: QB Round 7: QB |
Who's the RT project from the MAC that looks the most promising this year???

Nah, we'll just swap 1st round picks with San Fran and pick up Kappernick and a conditional 5th rounder.
:bolt: |
I just found one top analysts draft board for 2016.
1. Glenn Gronkowski FB 1 Kansas State rJr 6-2 234 2. Cody Whitehair OG 2 Kansas State rSr 6-4 309 3. Roberto Aguayo K 1 Florida State rJr 6-1 205 4. Dan Voltz C 1 Wisconsin rJr 6-3 312 5. Nathan Theus LS 1 Georgia rSr 6-3 238 All good players, though, the real problem is, with three being redshirt juniors who might not declare, it would really lower the overall possibilities of getting a true impact player in the top five in the 2016 NFL Draft. |

Connor Cook come on down....
|
nah
we'll manage to go 6-10 and **** ourselves, again but hey, maybe we'll draft a really good run-stopping LB'er! |
I can't wait to pick up that all-important LTotf only two years after making the same mistake then taking a WR who will struggle to put up 300 yards
|
I predict us picking between 5th and 8th.

We weren't even winning games WITH HIM. Yeah...this is gonna be bad. http://i.imgur.com/JBncl3D.gif?noredirect |

Lose until out of playoffs then go on a run and end up 7-9... |
The Chiefs will win a slew of games in December. 6-10.
|
So let's start Aaron Murray and see what he is and who we've got, and let the chips fall where they may. If he's the man, we can use these picks on guys to protect him.
If not, Connor Cook/Goff/QB. But Clark would never sign off on that. |

Remember when this exact same thing happened in 2011 and we didn't even get a top 10 pick?
Yeah, something like that is going to happen again. But we probably won't get a gem in the rough like we did that year with Dontari Poe. |

This team could screw up a wet dream with porn stars sleeping next to them.

If we lose to the Lions, we're picking #1. BRING ON THE LONDON MASSACRE!

Dennis Allen Raheem Morris Steve Spagnuolo Mike Smith Joe Phillbin Were pretty much all fired right after or at the end of there season of losing the London game Magic might Strike Twice :) |

The Bears game had the potential to be that win. We could have blown them out and gotten psyched up to go on a tear through the easy part of the schedule. They didn't even pull out a shit-eating win, like the Texans game. They ****ing lost. To the ****ing Bears. It's not going to happen like it did in 2011. The Bears game has killed the fight in us. We're not a plucky young team trying to find its way, either. We're a team that was gearing up for postseason success for the first time in forever and had shit blow up in our faces. There's no fight future careers or jobs, because nobody wants to be here in the future. The arrow is pointing firmly in the "down" direction. We won't crack more than 4 wins. Personally, I hope we take a nose dive down to our familiar and comfortable 2-14. |

If we're gonna Suck do it right 1-15 LMAO |

welcome to kc |
We will **** our draft position up. And we will not select a first round QB.
LMAO You silly bastards, this is the Chiefs we're talking about. |

Creative ways of disappointing fans:
Chiefs get 1st overall pick, mismanage the clock on draft day and don't get the pick in on time. Top QB goes off the board. |
Quote:
That being said, they have to spend it on that position regardless. ****ing fans have had enough. |
Even if it is the wrong QB, we'll get to experience something we've never experienced before: bitching about a QB we drafted high! Could be really fun, guys.

It's different here. Back in the 80s you had to call in to bitch about your QB. |

Well **** this up. I hope not keep losing. Swept by Denver, SD. Probably split with Oakland. Maybe beat Cleveland at home. I only see us winning about 4 more games. This team isn't good and our QB is garbage. Now our best offensive player is out for the season.
This is what we hired Dorsey and Reid. To find us a QBOTF. Get ****ing going guys |

If this team drafts early and if they draft a QB, chances are he probably fail.
This shouldn't deter the Chiefs from trying again, and again, and again. That is what I fear; The Chiefs finally draft a high QB, he fails, and the franchise gives up on it for another 30. |

So it isn't gonna happen. |
As much as I want Murray to start it won't happen. Golden boy Alex will continue to flounder. Keep sucking ass Alex.

Sitting out and watching Hasselbeck win with his team probably helped him see that he doesn't have to win the game with every throw. |
Suck for Luck!!!
Oops, wrong year: |
