Report: 'Multiple teams' to inquire with Saints about trading Sean Payton
http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/eye-on-...ng-sean-payton
The Miami Dolphins are expected to make a "splash" move this offseason when it comes to finding a new coach. CBS Sports NFL Insider Jason La Canfora reported Sunday morning owner Stephen Ross might be interested in chasing Saints coach Sean Payton via trade (or if he hits the market). THE LATEST FROM SPORTSLINE Week 5 NFL Picks Ross and the Dolphins might not be alone: according to Adam Schefter of ESPN, "multiple teams" are expected to inquire about Payton's availability after the season ends. The Dolphins are a lock to put out at least a feeler here. As La Canfora noted, Bill Parcells still has the ear of Ross and Payton is a Parcells guy. Giving up some picks to get a coach would net the Saints additional chips in attempting what needs to become a full-blown rebuild. The Colts are an interesting option here if Chuck Pagano doesn't return in 2016. Getting an offensive guru like Payton to work with Andrew Luck would be a bold move, something Ryan Grigson hasn't shied away from. How about the Giants? Tom Coughlin isn't exactly young. A playoff berth would guarantee him a chance to return in 2016 if he wanted but there's a chance this position is open next year. The 49ers could be desperate enough if this season goes south to make an aggressive play for an aggressive coach who could potentially fix Colin Kaepernick. Bottom line is Payton has a Lombardi Trophy to his name. If a Super Bowl-winning coach comes on the market, teams will be interested. |
So how many picks will the chiefs trade for this coach lol

Would never happen though, Bree's can't be that stupid. |
We'd trade our 1st which would end up being the first overall and the Saints would get a QB.
|
It Indy ends up with him I might kill something.

I think Peyton is a good coach, though. |
his 15 minutes are up. Mediocre coach who lucked out having Brees in his prime.

And there were fans that actually thought herm would fix the defense and not touch the offense. Shows you how truly stupid people are. |

Trading coaches was at one point suspended. I guess Goodell opened the flood gates, again. ****er. |

Can he call plays?
|
Can we trade Andy for a 6th and a bag of dicks?
|
At least the play calling would improve

I can't believe you made an ass of yourself again. I thought you swore off sports anyway when you douchefully explained your realization last week that your kids are more important than sports. I guess you're back. Seems familiar. |

The NFL suspended trading for coaches after Herm Edwards was traded to the Chiefs in 2006. Goodell allowed the practice to resume less than a decade later. Now go **** off and die, you worthless piece of garbage. |

I wonder if the Chiefs have approached New England about a straight up swap. Reid for Belichick.

Andy Reid is a problem, but he's not even a top 5 problem on this team, IMO.
In 13 years in Philly he took his team to the championship game 5 times with a QBhis fanbase bood when he selected him. That right there tells me he can win big when he has the nessesary pieces. If Andy had prime McNabb right now, this team would be killing it and he would cover up most of this teams deficiencies. Now, that's not to say I'm absolving AR of all the blame...he certainly deserves a share, but I attribute a lot of his perceived problems to him trying to get Alex to grow some nuts. Like a basketball coach trying to get a shooter out of a rut by forcing him to take a lot of shots. Teams win and lose with their quarterback above all else...hopefully this team can keep a balance of retaining its confidence while losing enough to get us "our McNabb"...if we can do that, I still think this team has a bright future. Even with Andy Reid. |
I can tell you one team who WON'T be looking at him.

Payton is one of the most overrated coaches in football, IMO. If it weren't for a defense getting crazy regular and postseason turnover numbers, he wouldn't have ever done anything...and he's had a HOF QB for a very long time. |

I'd rather not have a coach that picks Rob Ryan as his DC.

What were you saying about Bob sutton again? Something like he makes great adjustments. |
