What a dumbass. I wouldn't waste a valuable death wish on someone who ate my cold pizza! That's reserved for the basterds who drive slow in the left lane. No doy.

Or the assholes that speed up to close the gap as soon as you hit your turn signal.....That's the only driving habit that makes me rage. Because you KNOW they're doing it to be a dick.

Lonewolf Ed 10-29-2015 11:47 AM

I heard that Dominoes "improved" their pizzas. Do the crusts no longer taste like cardboard? It's been many a year since I choked down a slice of their pizza.

They actually have. They've climbed way up the ranks in terms of overall sales amongst national chains. That said, I still won't eat it more than twice a year. I've gotten to be very picky about my pizza. Well, as picky as I can considering the best pizza in the area (which isn't great) is about 45 minutes from me. We have 1 tolerable place in Hillbilly Hollywood. So I've been eating a lot less pizza. I get papa murphy's more often than not just because it's about as good as it gets around my area.

Break room fridge thiefs and left lane slow pokes are the exact same people.

No, I won't be razzing you about it. I used to love Pizza Hut, but that was back in the 1980s. I worked there as a driver for 2 years when I was just out of high school, and the quality tanked then. I have not had Pizza Hut in many years, but the last time I had a slice, it was all but inedible to my taste. Sad.

I either get Minsky's, Papa Murphy's, or crust from the store and make my own.

When someone tries to change lanes without using a turn signal, I speed up and don't let them in.

I'd like to add people that don't know how to merge as well, specifically the morons on I-35 N at 75th St. You don't have to stop 2 miles before the end of the lane so that you can get a spot at the end of the line!

Now that we are talking about driving, I look and text on my cell phone while I drive all the time. I also drive 72 mph in the left lane when there is a 65 mph speed limit, and make people that are speeding go around. Sometimes on long trips, I put my phone on my dashboard and watch movies while driving 55 mph in the right lane. Hello guys

I see this every day coming home from work. Traffic crawls to a standstill for NO GOOD REASON. It's just stupidity. And when people merge onto I-35 from 87th St, they built a merger lane that runs for about 100 yards to give people adequate time to merge into regular traffic. People get to the end of the entry ramp and STOP where the merger lane begins. Use the merger lane, dips. That's what it's there for!!!

California doesn't have the merge lanes.

It bugs me to no end when people stay in the right lane going at or a little under the speed limit. If your exit isn't coming up....get the **** out of the right lane!

There are a few roads in Springfield where one lane ends after a few hundred feet or yards after a stoplight. If I'm first in line and in the lane that doesn't end, and I see the car behind me get over in order to be the first person in the other lane, I stay even with them the entire way to where their lane ends....no matter how fast they try to go. And I have a straight 6, so if they decide to try to gun it, I can still do the same thing most of the time. Once we're to where their lane ends, I don't let them in. If they end up getting back directly behind me, I slow down to just under the speed limit for a little while. :)

Our local Domino's (as in 35 miles away) really aint worth a dang. But other places, I have had pretty good Domino's. Where I live now, the only national pizza chains within that distance is Domino's, Pizza Hut, and Papa Johns. The wife likes Papa Johns, kids like all of em of course. Me, in our area, I prefer Caseys gas station pizza. Its prolly the best available here IMHO:(

Domino's and Papa John's are both decent fresh. Fortunately, or unfortunately for my willpower, the two are 1/2 a block apart <1.5 miles from the house and compete with coupons accordingly.

Papa John's wins with better deals, their slightly sweeter sauce, and the pepperoncini and garlic sauce included. Domino's has better pies overall.

I think Casey's gas station pizza is the worst pizza I've ever had, that someone I pay to make. I guess if you like just greasy cheese slopped on a really thing doughy piece of pizza dough it's the thing for you. I've heard so many people say they like Casey's pizza and it astounds me every time.

Among the national chains, I typically go with Pizza Hut. They have stuffed crust pizzas, which doubles my pizza eating pleasure, and they have those great cinnamon stick things for dessert.

I really like the Papa John's sauces, and their pizza is okay. I'm not averse to it. However, their ordering web site is pretty bad.

I haven't had Domino's in a while. Their quality went down to the point that it was not a pleasant meal. I think I had one a while back at a meeting or something, and it was pretty good. I may have to give them another chance.

We have a local chain called Pudge Brothers that's all over the place. I used to like their pizza, but I pretty much boycott them now. Their ordering website is ludicrously bad, and they tape ads to my front steps. Whenever anyone tapes an ad to my house, they're banned for a month.

I haven't had it in a decade, but the last time I checked, Little Caesar's is not pizza.

Pizza crusts are inedible food handles. Nothing more. Unless you get lazy and dip them in PJ's garlic sauce.

There is another question overall. Fresh vs. cold leftover. The best fresh chain pizza that I can remember having is Godfathers. But the last 1 around here was maybe 5-6 years ago(are they still alive somewhere?) But as a leftover, Meh.

IMHO opinion, Pizza Hut has the best leftover pizza. But it is almost the same as day 1 so we never buy it anyways.

Love fresh Godfathers. For the longest I thought it was just nostalgia, because that's what we had after baseball and soccer games growing up. But I found one in Carbondale on a deposition trip and it was still wonderful as I remembered.

I agree. Well, maybe not the worst, but you get my point. I was just using that as an example of how bad pizza is here. Living out in the boondocks up here, your pretty limited on options.

I loved Godfather's as a teenager, and then didn't have any for 20 years. I was driving in some bizarre part of the country on a business trip several years ago and saw one. I did a Dukes of Hazzard maneuver to get into the parking lot, ordered a pizza, and was sadly underwhelmed. Maybe it was just that store, though.

I actually thought they got worse when they "improved." It is by far my least favorite pizza place. Like, I literally won't eat it even if it's free.

Godfathers today is nothing compared to what it was in the the 80's, it's good but not even close to as good... sort of like how Pizza Hut was decent in the 80's when it was actually made in a legit restaurant and not prefab delivery.

Those pale in comparison to the ones who pull up to a two lane red light, and choose the right turn lane knowing they're going straight.

That's a damn shame, UL...damn shame. When I was a kid, we used to go to Godfathers at least once a month. It was epic. Either it was the pizza or the fact they had a Pac Man machine...

I picture this as my morning commute, drivers racing to a red light, I stop to make a left hand turn and they leave no space to get through to make a left hand turn on a side street. Happens every day.
