What a crazy way to get into the playoffs. I'm glad we didn't "lose" our way in.

Steelers have looked ferocious yet they lost today. Every team can have a down day. Good teams, though, find a way to win. And we won. It was ugly. We were raped by the Browns running game. Our offense laid an egg in the second half.

But we won.

That's hard to believe. But the Chiefs were pretty terrible from 75-85 in the Royals old heyday.

We played like crap but held them to 3 in the fourth quarter.

Outside of the Bronco game where we played back-ups we have only given up 13 points in the fourth quarter in the other 8 wins.

Funny, NFL.com shows KC (2nd place) clinching a playoff spot, but Denver (1st place) not clinching yet. I know it's possible for Denver to get bumped out, but it has to be odd to see if you're not keeping close track of the playoff race.

Whats really crazy is we clinched with a week to go. Its not like in 2006 where we needed a win and a miracle loss by another team.


We have been in the drivers seat for a few weeks and the Chiefs held fast while the Steelers for example stumbled.

That 12 minute drive by Cleveland really killed the offensive rhythm and really swung some momentum. Need to be able to get off the field on the fake. But oh well, we win.

The funny thing is if AFC playoffs started today, the QBs would be Brady, McCarron, Osweiler, Smith, Weeden and Fitzpatrick.

Of course Manning could still replace Osweiler, but he comes with a ton of question marks and wasn't exactly playing well before.

I think the chiefs win the west and play the Jets at home in the WC then play the bungholes in cincy in the divisional and both long playoff streaks end this offseason.

I would agree with this sentiment. But regardless of what happens tonight, they'll have a shot at the division next week (Broncos lose either of these last two remaining games and we win vs Raiders we get the division due to tie breakers). Doubt that Reid and Co. will just make it a practice game.

They took several shots today to Maclin and Conley. They need to do this 3-4 times a game I think.

I was rooting for you guys, I'm a Ravens fan but have been on this board since the first year. What made the difference for the Ravens was Ryan Mallet starting, and he had only been with the Ravens for 12 days. Matt Schaub and Jimmy Claussen are backups, you saw that last week. With Mallet we had a real starting QB. I can't believe Houston cut him a few weeks ago. It was also sweet because there was probably 5,000 steeler fans at the game.

You probably don't know, but with the score 20-10 Ravens with 6 minutes left in the game. Big Ben threw a pass to the corner of the endzone and our DB Jimmy Smith intercepted the ball and ran it for a TD 100 yards, score was 27-10 with six minutes left and the place was going crazy, even Greg Gumble and Trent Green. Then the yellow flag was shown, LB Courtney Upshaw had his foot in the neutral zone, he wasn't moving, just his foot was about 6" too far. Ravens were called offsides. Two plays later Steelers scored making it 20-17, a 14 point swing because of a foot, anyway the Ravens held on. The biggest play was they sacked big Ben on about their own 30 with about 2 minutes left. So then they were faced with a 4th and 15, and Ben missed his next pass and the Ravens took over. The Steelers only had one timeout left and only managed to get the ball back with 4 seconds. They tried one of those lateral down the field plays, but it was stopped quickly.
