Which first-round playoff scenario do you prefer?

Poll to follow. Seriously. I'm not kidding about this.

OnTheWarpath15 12-27-2015 10:10 PM

In before poll. Houston.

cdcox 12-27-2015 10:10 PM

The one where we win.

TLO 12-27-2015 10:10 PM

inb4 poll

All teams are scary!

This right here.

Don't give a rat's ass about anything else.

Simply Red 12-27-2015 10:11 PM

I don't care - we just need our d players healthy - when they're okay - I think the Chiefs can beat any team.

RunKC 12-27-2015 10:12 PM

Don't care.

We match up well with Denver, Houston or a injured Dalton/AJ McCarron Bengals team.

TLO 12-27-2015 10:15 PM

This is a long pole

KChiefsQT 12-27-2015 10:17 PM

3 seed.
Denver @ Arrowhead w/ healthy Hali/Houston.

Rain Man 12-27-2015 10:18 PM

I think there are only the seven listed scenarios at this point. Did I miss anything? New England won't play in Round 1, and there's no way we have a home game in Round 1 against Cincinnati, Houston, or Indianapolis.

tk13 12-27-2015 10:18 PM

I would like to play the Cowboys.

I went with a road game in Houston. We don't know if Hoyer will be back, and if not, I'll take our chances against Brandon Weeden.

TLO 12-27-2015 10:21 PM

I generally feel like playing at home is better than playing on the road - regardless of who the opponent is.

Hog's Gone Fishin 12-27-2015 10:24 PM

We play better on the road. Lets go kick some Donkey ass and make this mission complete.

Yep. This.

Chiefs play like they have been (except the second halves today or against the Chargers) and it doesn't matter what the opponent does.

I disagree. You take whoever you can easily score on. If that's your cousin, well ... okay, that's a bad example. But the prom is not about showing up at the dance. It's about what you remember the next morning, grinning slyly.

DaFace 12-27-2015 10:52 PM

Indy would be my choice, but I'll take Houston assuming they're the winner of that division.

Chiefs Pantalones 12-27-2015 10:57 PM

Just give me one playoff win. Then I'm good.

ChiefsCountry 12-27-2015 11:02 PM

Chiefs are 2-0 in playoff games in Houston.
Chiefs are 1-1 against the Jets in the playoffs.
Chiefs have never won a playoff game against Denver or Indianapolis.
Chiefs have never faced Cincinnati or New England in the playoffs.

Toby Waller 12-27-2015 11:03 PM

if they are against Pitt in week one,its over for KC.

If they play Jets, they may live to play another day.

ChiefAshhole1056 12-27-2015 11:05 PM

In Houston. Because I'm selfish and I want to see it live. Plus I think they are very beatable especially with Clowney going down today and Watt having one hand.

Jimmya 12-27-2015 11:12 PM

Houston or Indi for me.

SeeingRed 12-27-2015 11:22 PM

I think Denver loses to Cinci......if so then it should likely be Denver or the Jets. Jets are a hotter team and more complete team at moment who just beat Patriots....Id rather see Denver.

I don't give a shit where they play as long as they play to win. It seems like at home they get overly conservative, and just try to hang on. In the playoffs they need to start playing to win instead of playing not to lose. I'm hoping now that they are in they'll do that. They did it against Indy 2 years ago though injuries and Chiefs things got in the way.

We want the Jets to win Sunday, that's for sure.

Houston is the weakest team in the playoffs followed by NY. If we win the division I think we would draw Denver.

MMXcalibur 12-27-2015 11:38 PM

I want the Broncos.

Denver would have to lose out for that to happen and the Jets would have to win next week. If we win the division, the odds are that we will probably play the Jets or Pittsburgh because it's doubtful that Denver will lose 2 in a row at home.

Denver only needs to lose to Cinci and then we would have the division lead.

If Denver loses tomorrow & beats San Diego they can end up 6th seed:

ya right! Until we see otherwise both Cinci and Denver got QB problems.....currently the best starting QBs of the AFC playoff group are Brady #1 and Fitzpatrick is #2....he will finish with over 4000 yds passing and 30 TDs. Has an awesome defense and they have a good running game with a 1000 yd back who has a speedy and effective compliment in Powell. They have 25 TDs between Marshall and Decker who are the best 1-2 WR duo in the NFL. They are on a 5 game winning streak and just beat New England. They are a team you hope ends up on the other end of the bracket. Id rather beat Denver at Arrowhead

As good as having a home game in the playoffs sounds I think our best chance of breaking our playoff curse will be on the road at Houston. After we purge the demons then it doesn't matter who we play or where. Build up the confidence in Houston and then look out!

3. host Pitt (Haley can possibly outmatch Reid for stupidity at times).
4. host NYJ

Stilllll not sure why people worship Clowney. He is nothing. He somehow leveraged a youtube video of him hitting the shit out of a guy in a bowl game to a #1 draft pick. He wasn't real good his senior year of college, didn't produce near the stats he did prior to that year. He wasn't good in the pros last year, he wasn't good this year. 27 tackles and 4 sacks oh my! SUPERSTAR!!

BWillie 12-28-2015 05:06 PM

Don't really know why the answer isn't on the Road at Indianapolis, they are the worst team out there. I don't care what happened in the eons before.

I haven't followed Indianapolis this year, but I have this impression that losing Andrew Luck has been a significant cause of their decline, and I have a vision of Andrew Luck charging from the tunnel in introductions and politely igniting the crowd and charging up his team, and then the NFL would fawn and gush and he would throw for 16 touchdowns in the most inspiring comeback since Rudy at Notre Dame recorded sacks on ten consecutive plays. And for the next 30 years of my life it would be replayed over and over and over on NFL Network, and the government would declare the first Sunday in January to be Andrew Luck Day.

I don't envision the same scenario with Bobby Hoyer.

Out of the 35 QBs qualified, Andrew Luck is 33rd out of 35 in QB Rating. I'll take my chances. Hasselback has a 84.0 QB rating, while Andrew Luck only has 79 QB Rating. He's one of the more overrated QBs out there. He's almost as bad as Peyton Manning this year, almost.

1.) Houston is the weakest opponent in the field.

2.) Arrowhead doesn't seem to be a HFA at all this year. http://www.chiefsplanet.com/BB/showthread.php?t=297067

Adding to that, we're scoring 30 PPG on the road and only 17 PPG at home. (credit HogFarmer for those PPG stats)

The bye can be a tough SOB, for sure, but I'd like to give our team a chance to get as healthy as possible before we bring the smack down.

I will also retort with another question: when has ANYthing been good for the Chiefs in the playoffs?

jjchieffan 12-28-2015 06:17 PM

Why does it matter if we want Indy or not? Indy isn't making the playoffs. It's probably 99.9% chance that Houston wins the division and eliminates them.
