tk13 01-03-2016 10:46 PM

A bit strange this year. I called Pittsburgh getting the Saturday night game... but both AFC games are on the same day. The usually mix it up.

Guess it doesn't matter since ESPN has one game and NBC has another.

GoShox 01-03-2016 10:46 PM

Let's do this

JoeyChuckles 01-03-2016 10:46 PM

This thread wins due to properly translated KC time.

They're saying it's on ABC/ESPN...

**** Yeah. Let's win a ****ing playoff game while there is still magic over Truman Sports Complex. LOL

The reason behind ESPN/ABC
http://espnmediazone.com/us/press-re...irst-time-abc/

It will be the MNF crew just simulcast on ABC.

Pasta Little Brioni 01-03-2016 10:50 PM

So ****ing lame. So NOW they decide to play both conferences the same day.

Vietnam58 01-03-2016 10:52 PM

Im in vietnam so ill be drinking and watching Sunday morning at 4am

2bikemike 01-03-2016 10:52 PM

Seems odd that both AFC games are Saturday and both NFC games are Sunday. I don't recall that from previous years, maybe it has been that way before.

journeyscarab 01-03-2016 10:52 PM

It hasn't. But it doesn't matter this year because all four games are on different channels. Before the NFC was on FOX and CBS had the AFC. They mixed them up so all the games weren't on the same channel on the same day.

Now NBC & ESPN have 1st round games, so it doesn't matter. If the Chiefs game runs long on ESPN, it's not going to cut into the 2nd game on CBS.

anyone know the scenarios?

pugsnotdrugs19 01-03-2016 10:58 PM

It also helps having the AFC games on the same days as it gives no advantage to teams that would play on Sunday instead of Saturday....

Let's goooo

tk13 01-03-2016 10:59 PM

Also, brutal time for the Seahawks too. They have to play at 10AM their time. And the forecast right now for Minneapolis is for it to be brutally cold on Sunday.

mr. tegu 01-03-2016 11:00 PM

This is the time I was hoping for.

And if the Seahawks manage to win that game, they have to turn around and fly across the country to play 10AM the next week at Carolina. If they win the NFC again they'll have earned it.

Depends on the winner of the second game. If Cincinnati wins we go to Denver. If Pittsburgh wins we go to New England.

That bracket can change. If the Steelers win they go to Denver.

If Chiefs/Steelers win out... Arrowhead would host the AFC Championship... kinda like that scenario...

I can see how some think Gruden is annoying but I watched a segment that showed the preparation he puts into studying both teams before the games which is why his breakdowns are so detailed and thorough. He loves the sport and doesn't toot his own horn like Bill Walton does in NBA games.

Chiefs vs Packers would be a very satisfying conclusion.

fully expected it. And thats fine. I like Manning being back. I like that the Chiefs are now an afterthought in the media. I like being off the radar.

Dartgod 01-04-2016 08:01 AM

So, not to get too far ahead of ourselves, but if we were to win, would we also play Saturday the following week? I have to travel to Dallas for work that weekend and trying to plan my return flight home on Sunday.

Sandy Vagina 01-04-2016 08:21 AM

excellent.. Now, I can push back my drinking night to this Saturday game-time... cover my bases.. to either cry in my beer or celebrate properly. :)

didn't want to put either team from the late game sunday on the "short week" saturday lineup. just so happens BOTH of them in the playoffs, covering BOTH nfc games, kinda screwed up the usual formula of one game per conference per day. not a biggie imo.

MahiMike 01-04-2016 10:00 AM

I noticed the AFC day vs NFC as well. I like it. I really like Saturday vs Sunday. Always been jealous of college fans for this.

I think it's a good thing. No team gets the advantage of an extra day off within their own conference other than the teams earning a bye.

:cuss: you Cincinnati and San Diego for not beating Denver!
