Last Time Chiefs Won a Playoff Game, they beat...

HOUSTON!

(BTW it was the day I became a Chiefs fan. January 16th 1994. I saw them come from behind with Marty, Montana, and Marcus. I instantly declared myself a Chiefs fan, even though I'd lived in California my whole life and never been to KC. They (we) haven't won since. I moved to KC this year. The curse will be broken.

CHIEFS WIN 27 - 17

PBJ

Plus, the Chiefs have a player named Houston. And Houston has a player named Chie... well, the Chiefs have a player named Houston.

So, it's YOUR fault!!!

TLO 01-04-2016 12:40 AM

Hopefully this is the first Chiefs playoff win in my lifetime. I'm already nervous...

Chiefs Pantalones 01-04-2016 12:55 AM

I was at the last home playoff win against the Steelers. I remember saying to my dad after we lost to Buffalo in the AFC title game, "I hope we win a Super Bowl soon!" Lol well...now I've lowered my standards to just winning a playoff game, screw the Super Bowl. ;)

KChiefs1 01-04-2016 01:03 AM

KC has never lost a playoff in Houston.

WilliamTheIrish 01-04-2016 08:22 AM

So many moments in that game.

Willie Davis dropping (what would have been) about a 50yard TD pass from Joe Cool. Keith Cash smashing the ball into the Buddy Ryan poster in the end zone.

Buddy Ryan punching Kevin Gilbride on the Oilers sideline.

It's perfect.

I have a similar story.

When I was a kid my favorite player was Warren Moon. Loved watching him play, but my favorite team was the Chiefs. That playoff game forced me to choose. Throughout the game I found myself rooting for the Chiefs, and its been that way ever since.

:( wow that is sad.

I was at the last playoff win at Arrowhead-it was an amazing game!! Little did I know leaving the stadium so happy- that would be the last home playoff win. Been at every loss since. :shake:

I hope this is the year to break the curse.

That picture is wild... so much has changed in the league during this time. I had just graduated college.

LA had 2 teams, the Arizona Cardinals were the 'Phoenix' Cardinals. There were 28 teams... the Oilers moved and became the Titans, and HOU got a new franchise. Modell moved the 'Browns' to Baltimore and they became the Ravens, then CLE gets a new franchise.

So much crazy. Alex Smith was 9 or 10 years old and the Monica Lewinsky scandal was still 5 years away from happening.

OJ didn't happen until that summer.

Even when he was a Chief? ;)

FloridaMan88 01-04-2016 01:31 PM

I was at the game in the Astrodome.

We were sitting near this old fat white trash couple who kept referring to Keith Cash as a "straight from the ghetto (n-word)" after he slammed the football into the banner of Buddy Ryan's face.

Stay classy Houston.

jimidollar 01-04-2016 02:27 PM

Cash is still one of my favorite Chiefs just for that endzone celebration.

According to Mellinger this morning, OJ was the sideline reporter for the Oilers/Chiefs playoff game.
