First, CHIEFS ARE IN THE PLAYOFFS so nobody gives a damn about the Patriots, Deflategate or their fumble rate. Yeah, I know.

But obviously I couldn't resist posting this:

Patriots 2015 fumble rate was 0.9 per game. Tied for second best in teh NFL (with the Chiefs no less).

In 2014 it was 0.9 per game, also tied for second best.

2013: 1.5 per game (24th)

2012: 0.9 per game (tied - 5th)

2011: 0.9 per game (4th)

2010: 0.7 per game (1st)

2009: 1.1 per game (4th)

2008: 1.1 per game (tied - 3rd)

2007: 0.8 per game (1st)

The article essentially argues that such a sustained low fumble rate is impossible, using junk numbers, and therefore helps "prove" Deflategate. Yet unsurprisingly the Patriots basically did what they pretty much always did, and what they will likely continue to do with BB/Brady (who are the main reasons for the low fumble rate).

Looks like it wasn't so "sharp" after all.

Your honestly gonna try and have an intelligent argument with a bunch of fair wether fans who are now suddenly crowing like roosters this , when they’ve been crapping like pidgins on the Chiefs on this forum for years?.....
God help us if they pull off a win next week, you’ll never hear the end of it until they lose again, then the same cycle will begin. I’m surprised they havent hired another plane to do a fly by because their boys lost 5 games this season.

The Pats of the 2000's are like the Cowboys of the 80's....everyone hates them, it'll pass. Brady will get another ring or two before he retires, Bill will go down as one of the greatest coaches of all time, life will move on.

I agree, I don't see them winning much of anything this year. They are crawling ass backwards into the playoffs.

Hopefully with Edelman back blah, blah, blah, but they have looked terriblef or over a month.

I think deflategate was a bunch of nonsense really, but .7 to 1.5 is > 100% increase

Deflated footballs don't give that much advantage, but that doesn't justify the act of cheating

My biggest problem with the whole deflategate fiasco was Tom Brady insulting everybody's intelligence by pretending he had no idea why ANYONE would EVER deflate a football.

He didn't even have to admit to any wrongdoing. All he had to do was say "We don't have to deflate footballs to win games", and then go out and do it. But he didn't do that. He tried to play the innocent naive victim card.

He's a great quarterback, and he's a multi-millionaire with a supermodel wife. He's also kind of a pussy.

I never bought into that as proof of anything. I think Brady has dispelled the myth he needs under inflated balls to play well.

Yup. Can't make that claim when he basically invented the rule. A perfectionist like Brady absolutely knows when a ball is deflated. And while there's no smoking gun, anyone with half a brain can piece together what was going on

The Pats cheated. It should have been a slap on the wrist.

They still cheated. You can whine, cry, and stomp your feet all you want Asterisk and it won't change that they cheated.
