Chris Habiger has been a McDonald’s franchisee for 11 years. For 10 of those years, he has wanted to renovate his high traffic location at 3504 N. Belt Highway. But he didn’t just renovate. He demolished the old building and on Thursday, opened a 6,500-square-foot “McDonald’s of the Future” with a variety of new elements not found at most McDonald’s across the country Read more here: http://www.kansascity.com/news/busin...#storylink=cpy Any of you people that live in Missouri and are willing to eat at McDonald's try this place? |
Can we please develop ways to order food without requiring all customers to touch all the same surfaces in the restaurant? For ****'s sake.....
|
One customer dubbed it "the nicest restaurant in St Joe" lulz
|
IT HAS A TV! IT HAS A TV I CAN TOUCH!

McDonalds of the future will be serving Soylent Green from China.
I am not sure what their hamburger is made of now-but it does not taste like beef. |

Maybe St. Joe won't be last on the map no more.
Perhaps not dude. |
Cut the number of humans needed in half. Just like banks.

"Swarm" is a hell of a buzzword for a borderline food thread - this one will see the nineties or thereabouts.

Lots of talent in KC

Also... I love how they end the segment with dude's quote "Maybe St. Joe won't be last on the map no more."
LMAO... yes, Grammar Man, a new McD's is just what St. Joe needs to propel it to the top! We'll give you a pass for the fact that there's no last place on a map.... |

The restaurant of the future is 100% self help.
You show up and cook your own food. No more $15 an hour employees!! |

I'd like to start a restaurant where you bring your own food, cook it, and then clean up afterwards. I could make a killing. |
Jack in the Box has had this shit for five years.
Guess it finally hit the belt. |

I read about this in the Atchison Times.

I don't remember the last time I actually ate a meal at McDonald's. Last summer I was in Sacramento visiting my sister, who happened to live right near one at the time. I grabbed a breakfast meal just to see if maybe a big city McD's was better than my rinky dink small town McD's. It was a combo with two of the muffin sandwiches in it and a hunk of potato patty. I was able to eat one of the muffins and then gave the rest to a homeless guy that was sleeping out behind the drive through. That one muffin gave me McQuickShits and McGurglyGuts for the rest of the day.

Now we're going to see videos of black people getting into fights with the kiosk and accusing the machine of being racist.

I pictured it much like the mutants on Futurama coming up out of the sewers one day a year. |
They couldn't of picked any better people to interview

I would much rather use a touchscreen to order fast food than I would to have to interact with the individuals working at fast food establishments.

It doesn't matter where, what time, it's A MUST. |
Hit something like this in San Fran. Walked in ordered via touch screen, paid with CC, printed reciept with number, grabbed it when called and left. 10x faster than those ordering at the counter.

I order Panera on their online ordering system. It's super easy to use and Panera has way more options and possible complications, still a breeze. I just pick up my stuff when I get there and it's ready for me. There is no reason they couldn't implement something in store for fast food restaurants. My order would be correct more often, it would be faster, and it would probably allow places to lower the cost of their food. |
I haven't tried any fast food ordering system like this but I don't eat fast food often. I did get the Starbucks app because they had a free drink offer for signing up. And it was close to my birthday so that was another free drink. It was pretty cool. I used it a few times. I made up my drink on my cell phone at home. By the time I got to the place the drink was either just finished or almost finished.
