of course he will. he just didnt want to do training camp bs
but it still makes me feel better |
It'll be nice to have that shit over with.

FIRE IN THA HOLE!
|
Good....
|
I still say he and Poe are playing for one contract this year...
and if so, let's hope that's a very difficult decision for Dorsey. |
He's probably going to be rusty the first few games, but he's been missed on this defense and he will be a plus.

Good news but not a surprise.

I bet DJ's left nut and Staylor will be glad this selfish, fan hater, non-Tweeting prick will be back.
The Suicide watch is ****Officially**** lifted. |
No way! You mean he didn't want to play in preseason and wanted to avoid training camp? No ****ing way!

FTR though, based on what we've seen this preseason so far and given the depth at their respective positions, I'd rather have Berry over Poe right now...

All I saw from Von Miller during his negotiations was love for the Broncos organization and fans. He acted like a guy that wanted to be a Bronco for life, while Berry has had one foot out the door throughout this process. It's a fair question for a guy that is supposedly the ultimate leader and heart and soul of the team. |

Berry doesn't love the chiefs, proven by his lack of social media posting even better, you said that rookie KeiVarae Russell cares more about the Chiefs than Berry...because Russell posted on social media once a rookie who hasn't played a snap in the nfl for the Chiefs, cares more than a veteran all-pro who trained for the nfl while undergoing chemo...because social media |

I was asking a question based on a gut feeling that he's had one foot out the door throughout this entire process. |
He was just at my gym. Dude looks like a ****ing stud.

The worst part of all of this is I ****ing love Berry and I defended him through and through up to this point. I absolutely realize that he has been the heart and soul of the team and a great leader on the field and in the lockeroom. The way he's handled these contract negotiations has just soured me a bit.
He's not Jamaal Charles, or Tamba Hali. Simple as that. |
He did hold a camp for kids in kc and talked about wanting to be a chief long term

He is no Von ****ing Miller-that is for sure. :) |

He's never once acknowledged that the organization has already done their part by making him the highest paid safety from day one and not saving money when they could've in 2014. And by "doing their part" he means not only being the highest paid safety in NFL history, he wants a little more than that too. |
At the end of the day, he'll be here for a couple weeks to get ready for the regular season, and I'm good with that. I honestly thought he would wait till the very last minute, and that would've really pissed me off. As long as he goes out and plays his ass off for his last year in KC, I don't really give a **** that he's all about the money.

 Exactly. Well said. |
They've paid him extremely well and he's played extremely well for them. I don't really see how what he made when he got drafted is relevant at this point.
He's in the prime of his career and wanted to be payed what he felt he was worth. The organization decided not to do that long term. I don't feel the need to really hold that against the player or the organization. It is what it is. |

It's pretty easy for us to say he's all about the money when given the same situation, the majority of people will try to get every cent they can. I understand he makes more than most of us, but it doesn't means he shouldn't do the very best deal he can possibly do for himself. At the end of it all, his earning years are limited in terms of football, and no one from the organization is going to rush to throw cash at a guy after he's not with the team.
I get that they didn't have to pay his salary when he got sick, but they did it for the PR and some good will as much as they did it for him. |

But after having a life altering disease, I get wanting to setget a long term security deal and all. He comes into camp, tears his knee up or some big injury, it can effect that security. Also, look at the other tagged guys. Cousins tag number is more than he'd have gotten this year in a long term deal. Johnson the same. I don't really like it, would have preferred he be there. But the cba states what it does. It sucks, but again, it is what it is. |
Quote:
He tells his players that being an nfl player isn't a career. It's a Jumpstart to your career. They have such a limited window of playing time and all. It's just a completely different mentality of what we fans of teams think vs what the players think. |

I am still mad at him but glad he will be playing.

Everybody talks about Berry's stats like tackles and turnovers mean anything.
HOW MANY RETWEETS HE GOT, BRAH?!! |

I don't understand why Chiefs fans think Berry owes the Chiefs anything.
Just because they didn't cut him? LMAO They gambled that he would return, and he returned, didn't miss a down of Training Camp and gave them another ALL-PRO season. And now fans expect him to sign for less than market value because the Chiefs didn't cut him when they were unsure if he'd come back or not? smh |

Berry reported to the team's facility on Sunday.
Berry staged a lengthy holdout after failing to reach a long-term deal with the Chiefs this offseason but is ready to get back to playing football. It may take Berry a few days to get up to speed but he should be ready for the Chiefs' season opener in two weeks. The 27-year-old was a first-team All-Pro last season and also earned Comeback Player of the Year honors. |

He's within his rights to dodge camp, but I'll be pissed if he looks rusty the first few games.
