Lions cutting veteran guard Geoff Schwartz
|
Nah, I'm a fan of this line. They've played well together this preseason, and I look forward to seeing them progress as the year goes on. If he does come here, he would be great depth. He'll find work rather quickly though, I would think.
|
id sign him
|
No ****ing way. He's 30, often injured and has no role.
The guy hasn't started 16 games since 2010 and he was cut after the season. When healthy, he's better than Jah Reid but you can't help the club if you're always in the tub. |
He's very open on social media, talks to alot of reporters etc so they're big on him.
But I question if he's actually any good. I mean, in an ol starved league, the guy keeps getting cut. |
Injuries have done him in.
Health's a skill and he doesn't have it. And injuries have eroded the skills he does have. When healthy, he's a solid, sound mauler but nothing special. He's an older, injury prone Zach Fulton. Not worth it at this point. |

He's been cut by the Giants and now the Lions, two teams that have struggled to protect their QB's. |

Wouldn't be an upgrade here but maybe Horsey will give him a call. Could make an inferior squad.

Sure why not.....for vet min. He won't take that...so oh well.
maybe he'd do it just to play with bro and then retire. he's a better tackle than Reid (when healthy)..if they needed him to slide over. who's the backup tackle? Reid? If so this would be an improvement in that area. the injury thing is very concerning though. maybe a change of scenery coming back to a place where he was successful at one point, playing w/ bro. i dunno. if he's healthy sign him. we have the cap. Doubt there are any free agent CB's that are of starting quality just sitting around waiting for jobs. That's an area of 100% top priority obviously - would rather have $ spent in that area if it's going to have a immediate impact on the field. I'm not for wasting money on a #4-5 CB. Hopefully this Acker guy is better than bums like Nelson Cooper and Flemming. And wtf knows about Russell. Will he even play this season? It's important that he's battling for that #2 spot eventually. Looks like he's light yrs away from that right now. This team is in SB win now mode, esp once Houston comes back and is 100%. Can't have enough good Olinemen though. |
Should of stayed in KC.

The guy's only been available to play 13 games out of the last 32 available games. That's a shit investment at $4 million per. |
There's no room on the roster for him.
|
I dunno, I really rather like that Pughsley kid. Hoping he makes the roster.
|
Nah, we need to focus on Corners,LBs and WRs.
I want wilson and hammond gone Another proven corner would be great insurance Do we really want our entire season to depend on Dee Ford? |
To open the season, the young Ehinger's competence at this point scares me.
Schwartz would have to agree to a very reasonable amount, and it could be focused more on actual games played incentives. |

Morse is athlete and skilled enough to play LG without missing a beat. imo Fulton is a better center than Ehinger is a guard. Fulton has a chance to be a stud center in my opinion. Fisher - growing into a stud Morse - stud Fulton - i think he could be LDT - Decent Schwartz - stud |
