All we have is Ware. Take him out and we're done.

Hammock Parties 09-17-2016 11:10 PM

We'll show the Texans what kind of team we REALLY are! Let's do it!!! CHIEFS!

Oh I forgot we have a concussed WR in Maclin and Tyreek Hill lol. Not too many options there. Conley is just.......not that good.

In58men 09-17-2016 11:16 PM

We couldn't stop Gordon. Miller could go for 120 and 2 TD's.

Texans 31
Chiefs 17

BossChief 09-17-2016 11:22 PM

Gonna be a fun game to watch.

We dominated them in both games last year and have arguably upgraded since then.

If KC protects the ball and finds a way to cover Deandre Hopkins (he had his way with Peters in both games), they should win this one.

Gonna be fun to see how it plays out.

Hoping we start out 2-0

Nickhead 09-17-2016 11:23 PM

the only thing i am really worried about is fatigue. the emotions of the comeback. how many times have we seen situations like this. it really has nothing to do with the opponent. i would say the same if we were playing the browns.

Is Kelce hurt?

Dayze 09-17-2016 11:26 PM

24-20 Texans I fear.

6 rec for 74 yards.

He's a monster.

Same here, they're stacked offensively. Our secondary might struggle, but I'm more worried about Lamar Miller. I hate to say this, but I have Miller in a few daily fantasy lineups.

Hammock Parties 09-17-2016 11:43 PM

if you think about it, this game is really like the Texans vs the Texans

go Texans

RINGLEADER 09-17-2016 11:46 PM

The Chiefs scored the 24 second half points to draw even with the Chargers in under 10 minutes of possession - the longest drive of the four went 12 plays and lasted 3:40 (and, ironically, was the one that ended up in a field goal - KC scored 21 points in six minutes of offense).

I'll say today what I've been saying since the win streak began. The Chiefs play their game and it doesn't matter what the other team does...including the Texans.

Just being real, man. Texans are stacked on both sides of the ball. I'd love it if we can pull it off.

Nah, you're being an "Alex sucks, therefore we have no chance" disciple. It's ****ing old.

You must have missed where the Texans had to come back from being down to the shit ass Bears. But yeah, we have no chance. Piss off with all that.

MMXcalibur 09-17-2016 11:56 PM

I can get behind a Simply Red gameday topic.
I feel like we're 2-0 already.

WTF? This isn't about Smith. It's about Hopkins, Strong, Fuller and Miller. Smith and Ware were the reason we won week 1.

We averaged 3.0 ypc against them on the ground in the regular season game last year and were up 27-9 at the half. The game was essentially over in the first quarter.

We averaged 3.8 ypc rushing in the playoff game.

Total offense in each game was just over 300 yards. We still blew them out of the water each time.

I can't follow if you're talking about the offense sucking besides Ware or you think the defense will wilt under the pressure of the Texans offense?

Either way, if the Chiefs play like they've been playing on their win streak then none of this will matter.

Hopkins and Fuller are the ones to watch and worry about. Lamar Miller ain't got shit against us. And if you think Ware is all we got, then you weren't paying attention last week.

This won't be a blowout. The Texans have had just about enough of our shit and are going to play hard. They don't have enough with Cushing out, Watt hobbled, and their line in shambles.

We beat Chargers 33-3 in their house last year. Why couldn't we beat them like that in our house this year? Because, teams change from year to year. Texans are a different team.

Simply Red 09-18-2016 12:09 AM

I'm 2-0 in reg. season game-threads and 0-1 in post season.

How can you say Miller won't do shit when Gordon ran all over us? Don't take him lightly, you'll be disappointed.

BossChief 09-18-2016 12:11 AM

Rivers > Osweiler
SD OL > Hou OL
SD RBs = Houston RBs
SD WRs < Houston WRs
SD TEs > Houston TEs

SD DL = Hou DL (with Watt not at full speed, anyway.
SD LBers < Houston's LBers
SD CBs = Houston's CBs
SD Ss = Houston's Ss

The story of this game is going to be Marcus Peters ability to cover Hopkins on the short, quick hitters. Houston is going to want to get the ball out fast to help their banged up OL, Peters needs to be ready, as do the safeties.

You're just really dumb sometimes.

Pumping Jaleen Strong up and not even mentioning guys like Kelce, Maclin and Conley...let alone Harris, Wilson or Hill.

Not pumping him up, but he's not to be overlooked. Maclin is banged up, Kelce has his moments. I love Hill the most, not a fan of Conley though.

I hope you're right, because Miller is milestones ahead of Gordon.

Bowser 09-18-2016 12:19 AM

And when did Maclin get banged up? In the game where he actually came back to play after passing the concussion protocol?

like the chiefs, continuity is important. isnt this obriens third year there? same system. if osweiler can be rattled, that is the difference. but its not like the majority of these players are learning a new playbook.

I don't believe for a second that this is an easy win.

But let me tell you how the Chiefs win.

Alex Smith takes control of this offense and checks out of the sorryass play calls from Reid.

Lightrise 09-18-2016 04:46 AM

This is going to be a completely different game from the past two. I expect this one to be a 2nd and 3rd quarter game with the first quarter perhaps being an exchange of field goals and stalled drives. It will settle in on who makes the first mistake. Just have a feeling that Hill's speed will tip the early balance, but then we come out flat after the half, but get two scores later in the 3rd on a good drive and a turnover. The 4th quarter will be a game of holding on and who can best do that. Have that sinking feeling Berry will fail in coverage and it slips away. I wish Charles were playing in this game. Strangely the 2 guards that are missing might actually leave the line better than what it otherwise might have been. It could be the difference.

dannybcaitlyn 09-18-2016 04:49 AM

Chiefs win 21 -14. First game home jitters have passed.

milkman 09-18-2016 06:23 AM

I still don't have cable so to watch it today going to Wendy's they have a tv I can watch it on. It will be a nice venue to watch it probably get some tasty baconator French fries.

RunKC 09-18-2016 07:06 AM

Looks like the Texans upgraded their field in the offseason.

Mother****erJones 09-18-2016 07:07 AM

Thank god. What a dumpster fire last opener.

Kman34 09-18-2016 07:13 AM

I hope Ford can be a factor today....the defense needs about 3 or 4 sacks... some 3 and outs would be nice too...
