Vargas with a GREAT outing. 5 shutout innings. Bravo.

KCUnited 09-28-2016 06:41 PM

Lester Holt behind the plate.

siberian khatru 09-28-2016 07:20 PM

Jeff Zimmerman of RR posted today that Strahm's spin rate was way down and his velocity has declined and speculated he might be hurt again.

Strahm looked fine there, although even I could probably get a swing and miss from Byron Buxton.

siberian khatru 09-28-2016 07:22 PM

Speaking of swinging and missing (Alex Gordon)

siberian khatru 09-28-2016 07:23 PM

Looks like Soria next inning

siberian khatru 09-28-2016 07:57 PM

I wonder who's closing tonight

cosmo20002 09-28-2016 07:58 PM

Seems like it is going to be very difficult to pass up on bringing back Kendrys's bat next year. Gonna have to pay him.

Think how exciting this would be if we didn't need 10 miracles to happen to get in the playoffs.
Thanks, Soria
& Ned

No kidding, Ned straight pissed away the playoffs with his stubbornness.

siberian khatru 09-28-2016 08:12 PM

Orioles win. The dream is over

Chiefspants 09-28-2016 08:13 PM

Pretty fitting that Ozuna blew the save and Navarro was the last out against the O's. At least they're consistent in these situations. :)

welp - given the 30 year abortion we suffered through.....this is 4 successful seasons in a row gentlemen!

Get us a #1 or #2 starter and a bullpen piece.......accidentally forget to invite Soria to camp......and I think we got another run in us next year!

Chiefspants 09-28-2016 08:34 PM

We lost Moose, Hoch, Cain, Davis and Gordo for extended parts of this season.

To have made it to the last week is pretty satisfying, all things considered.

Time to re-watch last year's run. :)

Plus a couple of starters from the opening-day rotation.
Plus, if not for injury, Holland would have been here. Soria was essentially his replacement.

Ironically losing Cain was our downfall and he had the most capable replacement.

Considering everything that happened this season it's actually been a decent year.

Cain & Davis really hurt because having to use Dyson & Soria was not replacement level. Cuthbert did a pretty good job at 3rd this year replacing Moose.
