Elway killed me as a QB, but he's even better (worse) as a GM.

I'm over 50 years old, so I've had the displeasure of watching this dude wreak havoc on the AFC/NFL for decades now. JEEZ LOUISE, could we make personnel decisions like this!!

Coochie liquor 10-02-2016 04:46 PM

George Bush could play qb for them and win

AirForceChief 10-02-2016 04:47 PM

Really: picks QBs out the ass, signs defensive players
in their prime, seems to have the salary cap down. This TB game is killing me...Lynch, after no name Simeon.

Hammock Parties 10-02-2016 04:49 PM

Denver has won games with 4 different QBs under Elway now

sickening

Simply Red 10-02-2016 04:50 PM

unfortunately he's a great football mind.

They kicked the shit out of a shit team. Not impressed

Pasta Little Brioni 10-02-2016 05:04 PM

You realize they not only played the Bucs, but the Bucs backups. The SAME Bucs that the Rams pathetic O ripped up.

It doesn't matter though cause you know every Denver QB is elite. ROFL

Their D came out pretty fired up. The Broncos O wasn't matching their intensity/effort and Kubiak seemed to be rather stubbornly sticking to the running game when it wasn't working. They did eventually wear down and the Broncos started beating up on them. And then they started losing guys. The Broncos D got three turnovers fairly early as well so that ****ed over the Bucs pretty badly.

If by picks QB's out of his ass, you mean a full-court press to secure a future HOF QB veteran, draft a QB in the 2nd round to groom behind him for years and when that draft pick leaves for a ridiculously inflated contract, you maneuver up the draft board to take a QB in the first round all the while turning a developmental 7th rounder into a potential NFL starter.

Completely pulled it out of his ass.

Denver has 2 phenomenal receivers. That's going to make a lot of QB's look better than they are. Don't get this shit twisted.

AirForceChief 10-02-2016 05:18 PM

No, I meant the same thing, obviously: "why can't we make personnel decisions like this." I didn't mean he'd lucked into anything, he's killing me with his picks. The move up in round 1 this year is a perfect (typical) example. Remember: He signed Manning when Manning refused an interview with us (the Chiefs).

Chief Roundup 10-02-2016 05:21 PM

Well since you have been defeated by him you should just go join him then.

Who gives a shit. Simien and Lynch are not elite QB's. They are average.
Denvers defense and receivers are elite.

big nasty kcnut 10-02-2016 05:22 PM

The broncos cheat on salary cap and elways a dick monkey! Also he's the zodiac killer!

DaFace 10-02-2016 05:23 PM

He got a little lucky that Manning was willing to go to Denver, as that definitely helped the team to bring in a bunch of talent for reasonable contracts.

But it's tough to deny that they seem to be drafting well and playing free agency perfectly lately.

MeatRock 10-02-2016 05:31 PM

By all means, keep sucking that Elway horse cock peeps. From the looks of it, ya'll seem to like taking the throat beating.

kccrow 10-02-2016 05:33 PM

John Elway doesn't deserve a thread on a Chiefs board. **** John Elway. In the ass. With a glowing iron rod. While forcing him to drink anti-freeze. And injecting him with AIDS.

MeatRock 10-02-2016 05:38 PM

And yes, **** Elway!!

I just want to eat some KfC one day while winning a Super Bowl and post a picture on the orangemane. I doubt it will happen but if we get there that's what I am doing!

Jury is still out. Carolina isn't close to the team they were last year. Jacksonville just beat the Colts, and TB is a turd. Winning at Cincy is a quality W, but so far there is not even anything close to enough to say that they have struck gold on either QB. I suspect that one of those guys might pan out but it doesn't mean they have the next Luck under center.

Oh, and **** horseface. Still hate the dude. They lucked into the Manning scenario, and screw them for tampering and stealing Sanders after that dickhead had already negotiated and had an agreement to sign with the Chiefs.

You forgot about the part where he falls out of an AIDS tree, hitting every branch on the way down.

Rain Man 10-02-2016 06:21 PM

Here are the draft picks from Elway's tenure as general manager. Let's add up the number of pro bowls they've produced. Other than Von Miller, who was a classic boom/bust pick due to the criminal activity, I don't see a lot of talent here. Denver's success has come from offering Peyton Manning an eventual ownership stake if he signed with Denver, which by the way is a violation of the salary cap.

Did Beethoven use better individual notes or was his brilliance revealed in how he grouped the same notes that were available to everyone else?

tk13 10-02-2016 07:48 PM

The funny part is his two biggest successes were winning a playoff game with a QB who couldn't throw (Tebow) and winning a Super Bowl with a completely washed up QB barely managing the game.

Meanwhile, two years earlier Manning blew away every record there was and they got destroyed in the Super Bowl. Just goes to show how defense is still the most important thing. And football doesn't make as much sense and people act like it does.
