Trade Foles
Jets,Steelers
If Chiefs can get a decent deal then they should be open to trading him. I think Foles would be a great fit for the Steelers. I don't know how long Rapeburger is going to be out though. I wonder how desperate the jets are now that they don't have a starting QB? Let's be real here ... we aren't competing for a super bowl this year so we might as well trade Foles. |
I hope no is serious.
You don't think it wise to have a decent QB2 in place that knows the system, if Smith misses a game or three? We aren't competing for a SB this year? wtf? |
KC is one of only 7 teams in the AFC over .500 .... a bit too early to get the banners ready, eh?
|
Rapist will be back before Foles could learn half the Steeler's playbook. Jets are done.
|
So we should take the guy who stated that the reason he chose KC over everywhere else was because of Reid.....and trade him.
Great way to get FAs to sign here. |
If the Chiefs do trade Foles, it should be during next year's training camp, when they're not required to be Cap Compliant and another team is desperate.
And why aren't the Chiefs a possible Super Bowl team? The only AFC team that's been better, consistently this season, is New England. |
Laz is good entertainment.

Foles is the perfect backup QB for a team looking to make a deep playoff run
Knows the system Loves the head coach Proven production as a starter Brings a different skillset than the starter, defenses would have to adjust Should anything happen to Smith, its hard to imagine anyone better stepping in to keep the train rolling |

It could be worth it if his value gets high enough. But we are in the midst of a playoff season , most likely...at least looking at wild card possibilities MAYBE division if Denver can't pull it together.
Problem is , we don't play Denver till the back 30% of the season....we play them twice in last 6 weeks. So unless the value is insanely high and some team gets desperate, I don't think we do this. Maybe if we lose a few in a row... When is the deadline? |
Steelers will win the shitty AFC North even while missing Ben for a month.
Jets going to evaluate Petty and Hackenburg or whoever. |
terrible idea.

JFC loon thread

Read that as Trader Joes and was about to recommend the Pizza 4 Formaggi.
|
At this point, sitting at 3-2... the last thing you want to do is get thin at the most important position. Unless you were able to secure a badass player in return, trading him for picks would be silly heading into week 7 and 1 game out.

Tom Petty's son.

Why would they trade him? They have no real 3rd option. That's the only way you trade your backup.

IF the chiefs were to make a BIG trade. you go with POE. he would bring in the most returns. :D

Typo in your thread title. It's spelled "Start" not "Trade."
|
Trade the only QB who on this team who was not only notorious for only putting up a staggeringly low amount of INT's in a season (2), but ALSO showed his worth, by proving that he had more to his game than simply not throwing an abundance of INT's, but actually throwing a large amount of TD's (27 in 13 games) as well?!?!?!?!?!?!
Doesn't sound like the wise thing to do, IMO. I prefer the guy who doesn't exclusively excel at simply, not throwing INT's, but excels at throwing TD's as well!!!! |
I watched a ton of Foles in 2012-2014...when he was with the Eagles. I remember watching the first snap he played at QB in 2012. He failed to score or move the ball the first couple-few drives and the ruthless Philly fans ALREADY began to boo him...after 2-3 series into his ROOKIE CAMPAIGN!!!! I couldn't believe it. It made me think, for a brief second, that there may be a sports team out there with worse fans than the Cubs.
Philly fans didn't boo him much in 2013.... 27 TD's, 2 INT's in 13 games played....historical numbers....if he would have played 16 games at the rate he was going at that year, that would have been one of the most historic seasons ever played by a QB. And the dude looked good doing it in 2013. It didn't come off as a fluke. It appeared legit...he really made some legit, "WOW" plays that year and was so smart. I wonder why he dipped a bit in 2014 and 2015? The guy is capable of doing big things, I am 100% confident in that and I feel as if his 2013 campaign already proved his capability. Maybe things have to be very specifically set in order for him to excel...like certain pieces HAVE to be in place, otherwise he goes from being an elite QB to an average one? Whatever the case...he is capable of great things....unless something happened between 2013 and now that left him irreversibly pussified... |
