Chiefs sign Bishop Sankey
|
No Ware this week
|
Garbage RB.
|
So who gets cut?

I like this signing.

The Darrin Reaves hype needs to be put to bed. If he was so good we wouldn't have signed 2 RB's off the street.
|
Liked him as a prospect. 10" hands.. former 2nd rd pick. Solid build for a 5' 9" dude.
Wonder if he can pass protect.. |
Good news
|
Yeah, that sure seems bad for Reaves, doesn't it?
If Sankey's coming straight from the street to the active roster (and Sankey sucks balls), it says the Chiefs don't have much faith in Reaves. |

Hmm we've went from 4 good Rb's to just 1. Team is screwed if Ware ever goes out.
|
Meh, showed minor, very minor, flashes with TN, never amounted to much, RB filler for now.
|
So West starts and Sankey's the backup this week?
|
What's Bam Morris up to these days?

I would have went with CJ Spiller. I think he could still be dangerous on the flats.

But with West on the roster, Spiller's fairly redundant. He's just not a very good complementary back for who we have on the squad right now. Ware and Spiller would work well together but I just don't think Spiller and West would have. |

Reaves is quickly becoming the RB version of Fred Williams. After that debacle, I'll trust Reid and Bieniemy 100%. |

Take it from a Wisconsin fan, dude. Sometimes your Heisman trophy-winning awesome guy RB in college is a bag of wet farts at the pro level. It happens all the time to the best guys. Ron Dayne. PJ Hill. Montee Ball. Let go of Bishop Sankey. He belongs to the AIDS monster now. There will be other Washington RBs who have a chance, but Sankey's time has come and gone. |
2015
4.1 YPC on 47 rushes 139 yards and a TD on 14 receptions That's not terrible for a guy off the street |
I wish teams had to announce the corresponding roster move at the same time. Hope Jamaal didnt go to IR

Their new GM has been chopping that roster down like John Dorsey when he took over the Chiefs. Mike Mularkey and Ken Whisenhunt are both such awful offensive minds that it's difficult to determine whether the player selections were poor, the coaching or the scheme. Dorsey's been able to mine unheralded running backs during his tenure in KC and Bieniemy's been able to turn these guys from pumpkins into gold. The big question is will Sankey play this weekend and how long will/would Ware be out? |

Those aren't eye popping numbers but he could be a contributor behind Ware and West. |
Chiefs hoarding ships

I bet Parker Ehinger goes to IR in correspondence to the move..

I guess Ray Rice is never playing in the NFL again, huh?

What ended up being the deal with West? Didn't he get knocked out of the game as well? Anybody know what it was? Is he okay?

It appears that Pughsley is in the same boat as Reaves. Just good enough to not get cut from the NFL for a couple seasons before teams get sick waiting for you to develop. |

I really have liked what I've seen from Reaves in his limited opportunities and was hoping he'd get a shot, but again, I'll defer to those two. |

I feel like if Ehinger was the roster move that was put on IR then we would have brought in an OL instead.
|
I think sankey is a good signing. He is not meant to be a world beater, but neither was spencer ware. I think dorsey has shown he knows how to find talent, especially running back talent.

Interesting. They must like the kid. Knile knows the offense and is a good returner. Reaves knows the offense as well and has looked good when we've seen him play. Both are available, yet they pass on both if them for this guy. I agree with what others have said. It seems like a real head scratcher to me but I trust Dorsey. He has a knack for finding diamonds in the rough.

Sankey has an excellent pedigree as a 2nd round pick and an 1,800 yard season in the Pac 12. Let's not forget that he's been on the Patriot's practice squad all season, making it likely that he's a serious, disciplined player. Otherwise, BB would have axed him long ago. |

While I agree that Ware appeared to be "fine" in the post game video shared on Twitter, he's still in the Concussion Protocol until he's not. |

p.s. I hope Spencer is OK!!!!
