Damn. I bet being beaten with a bag of crab legs would suck.

Eleazar 11-18-2016 08:48 AM

Crableg boy should shut his yap while his team is under .500. Last I checked he couldn't beat Oakland playing at home in a game where Oakland committed 23 penalties and missed two field goals.

They should put this on the ribbon boards around the stadium all day long:

“At the end of the day, we’re not playing against the noise." - Jameis Winston

Well, honestly...unless we've been "officially" going for a record, the crowd hasn't been intimidatingly loud for the last decade. I hope he's proved wrong, though.

Thursday night game last year, right? Yeah, fans will show up for rival games or special games like Monday or Thursday night games that they know will be nationally televised. Used to be, records and schedules didn't matter, because every game was super loud. Time without a playoff win or not having a lasting coach that was worth a damn has taken it's toll. The last few years have been better. Putting a better product on the field and winning games will hopefully continue to help bring back the days of ol'. All of that said, I hope that the crowd causes lots of offensive penalties. :)

gblowfish 11-18-2016 11:37 AM

This morning they were saying that Jameis Penis has thrown for around 6,100 yards, and he's the fifth fastest QB to get to that mark (passing vs. number of career starts) of any NFL QB in history. TB is also 3-1 on the road. They've been a better road team than home team. Last week vs. Chicago was their first home win.

It was one of those 'window's open' opportunities. The weird thing about Tampa is you just have no idea what to expect. They suck at home and have a strong road record. They have some good players, but it's a damn crapshoot.

I don't give that team much of a shot @ Arrowhead, quite honestly. I think the home field advantage will definitely play out as expected.

Tampa has given up 30+ points 4 out of 5 games, twice over 40 (Falcons and Cards). All losses (shocking, right) and 3 of 4 at home.

They have scored 30+ 4 times as well, winning 3 of the 4 (2 on the road vs SF).

They can put up points, no doubt... but that defense, it's not great.

Just about every QB has a bad day on their first time at Arrowhead. Even the eventual HOF'rs.

Take it from a guy in the Tampa area, he is a good QB. Still learning but he can make some long accurate throws. He can burn us deep. Move his feet real well. He is the real deal.

He's young, and strong like tree, smart like rock. BJ probably set him up and he had to respond with false bravado, to give the impression that he is not intimidated by the noise.

I wish we had a QB like him on the roster being groomed right now. He'll learn this weekend (if some coach or teammate hasn't enlightened him already), and not make that mistake about fans again. Not only are they loud, but many of them can read, too. Bad ju-ju.

People also like things that define them as unique. The noise of Arrowhead puts KC fans in a unique light compared to most fan bases.

And Arrowhead circa the Marty era was pretty disruptive on opposing offenses. Wish the NFL didn't pull the footage of the godforsaken Denver playoff game from Youtube.
