I don't care what you have to say about Smith or the offense. The Chiefs defense got absolutely ass pumped by the Bucs. They got one stop because Winston dropped the ball. When the game was on the line they couldn't stop anything. They gave up 5-8 ypc runs all day long. WR's were running around wide open and no one even sniffed Winston's jock.

Blame who you want on offense and there is blame to be had by them and Reid. But the defense killed us today.

Dropped passes are still a problem and that 2nd offensive series that we went 3 runs and out was atrocious. If you swap drives and Smith had his rushing TD in the 4th quarter and exchange it with his interception and put that series in the second quarter...
Guess what...the score is still the SAME.

There was 12 minutes left in the game which is equivalent to at least a possession for each side. Regardless of the interception, it doesn't change the fact that TB could move the ball on the defense.

It's games like this one that can make a QB great. Defense missing a bunch of starters and playmakers. It's too bad that Smith and Reid couldn't put it together today on offense against a fairly poor Bucs defense.

We should have scored more than 2 TDs offense, and one those TDs we failed to score was directly on Smith.

We also failed to convert third downs to keep the chains moving until that final TD drive, and much of that failure lies squarely at the feet of Alex Smith.

This was total team loss, including a mediocre performance by Alex Smith.

Two or three plays does not excuse crap for the rest of the game.
