Well we are 7-3 with 6 games to go 3 of which are at home and 3 on the road along with 4 games within the Division two of which are against the Donkos.

Our fate is still very much within our own hands.
This team has shown so much inner strength and determination that it is hard to doubt that they will not win a few to several of those games just based upon what we have seen them pull out of their asses when it wasn't truly earned.
It is hard to imagine that we don't end up at least 10-6, but I will not be surprised if the offensive ineptitude ends up breaking the hearts and souls of those on defense.

Our only hope is that the offense finds its way.
Would not be surprised if we don't lose most of our remaining games either. This team is Jekyle and Hyde at times.

Anyway how do you all think this team finishes out its season?

7-9 if we don't get it together.

It's about to get rough i am afraid. The offense has got to be more prolific. Defense needs to pick it up a bit in the pass rush department.

That is wishful thinking, although I like it I am very doubtful that we sweep the Donkos.

Yeah 10-6. Donks will luck and cheat their way to 2 wins and Falcons will probably beat us too. Could see us Chuefing up another game as well.

I am going off of the wild prediction that key players get and stay healthy.. Houston gets back to his old self.. and the Chiefs are as mentally tough as I think they are.

This team is capable. May as well stay positive. It doesn't cost anything, and is preferable to living the doom-n-gloom.

I'm thinking 9-7, but 8-8 isn't out of the question because of the A&A factor.

I think the Raiders win the division... Denver enters as #5 and KC as #6 seeds. What their records look like? Who knows, likely 10-6 tied.

Depending on how Houston performs, it's crazy to think we could capture the 2nd seed with an 11-5 record...

If we are healthy (Maclin and Houston most importantly) nobody in the AFC including the Pats would want to face us.

Cowboys are going to be hard to dethrone tho... Dak and Ezekiel make the greatest rookie combo this league has ever seen.

Wondering what happens if we end up 7-9 or 8-8.......

Does it really matter what our record ends up? We all know what the ceiling is for an Alex Smith led, Andy Reid managed team.

Shit. The Chiefs would probably be one of the easier games in the playoffs. Houston and Pittsburg thoroughly dismantled this team.

They could very well lose out if this offense can't figure out how to play ****ing football.

A team cannot count on turnovers. Our Offense has looked inept constantly. We have not had more than one dominant looking drive on offense in one game let alone one is several games or several in one game or preferable, several in several games.

Carolina was #1 in turnover differential last season and coasted into the SB.

New England's total offense was ranked #11 in 2014 but they won the Superbowl with a turnover differential that was ranked #2

Seattle was ranked #1 in 2013 (wins SB) and ranked #3 in 2014 in turnover differential (another SB appearance)

So people hating on Smith for being risk adverse and undervaluing ball protection are implying they know more than Jimmy Johnson who said bad plays have more impact than the good plays. We currently sit at #1 in turnover differential, I hope the trend continues and if it does we'll easily get a playoff spot.

Facts are facts, defense wins championships and it's up to the offense to be decent and not **** it up.

That was 2013. In 2014 we stared 7-3, shit the bed down the stretch and missed the playoffs.

I fear that today's game has doomed the Chiefs to another road playoff wild card loss. Such a shame.

And when those turnovers went away they have not been all that. Point is that you don't know when that well will go dry.
Carolina did not win the SB and where are they this year? The Saints won with a shit D that got turnovers but when that well went dry...well they haven't won shit since. If it was easy to make turnovers happen constantly consistently then teams would be able to rely on that stuff and repeat it season after season. It is just not the case.

Might have cost them a playoff spot.

You left out the Broncos who won SB50 by forcing turnovers in every playoff victory. That said it is really hard to count on getting a turnover to win a game.

You're right. And that 7-2 record provided some time for Smith abd the Offense to figure it out. At 7-3 now, with road trips to Denver abd Atl looming, they're running out of time.

I'm just increasing my anger level with constant excuses from 1 Arrowhead Way... It's always about patience with these assholes.

With the remaining games I see us winning only 2 maybe 3 the rest of the way. Only Titans, if we play like we did today (against the Bucs).
