Justin Houston missed practice today with a knee injury, per the star.

Hopefully, this isn't anything to be concerned about.

So he does or does not have a knee issue?

He does from what I'm reading. ESPN said it was an illness then an hour later knee

O.city 12-15-2016 08:46 PM

I beleive the earlier version said it was for illness, but it actually was a knee issue

Linebacker Justin Houston didn’t practice with the Chiefs on Thursday because of a knee injury. He was a limited participant on Wednesday because of an illness.

In all seriousness, I've raised this question before too. Far too many "relapses" with this team it seems. If I have one concern with Dorsey, it is that he doesn't put much emphasis on durability as opposed to other talent evaluators. Guys like Gaines, Commings, Kelce, Streater, Branch, G. Schwartz all had injury histories at the time of acquisition. Some guys get over them, others seem cursed. I'm hoping Houston does not fall in the latter category.....

Seemingly so. I know it's the NFL but god damn does it seem like our guys can never get healthy.

If he says he's healthy and the doc says he can play then let him play but just seems like him and Charles both coming back and then their knees giving them problems still, seems like maybe its not a good idea. Now I guess we will have to see what the actual problem is but idk doesn't make me feel good.

People around here scream bloody murder whenever anybody has the audacity to even imply that they would have made better choices in certain situations than our coaches or personnel staff.

If it's wrong to insist upon not spending so much money on Player X, it's even worse to insist the medical and training staff isn't doing right by the player or team when they declare a player to either be healthy or not. ESPECIALLY when we have no information about what occurred.

The Broncos go an entire season and playoffs without as much as a ding, yet our guys can't get off the couch without spraining their vag.

Hydrae 12-16-2016 11:14 AM

Given some of the questions about the previous injury where the ligament was "not working right" or something like that, this is concerning. I have to wonder if this is not a case of him being rushed back too fast but maybe a nerve issue that may be the end of his football career. Obviously I hope that I am completely off base here but until we hear more about what is going on this will remain a possibility in my mind as it has since February when the surgery was done.

Titty Meat 12-16-2016 11:17 AM

Charles has issues after his knee injury
Gaines still having issues with his knee
DJ reinjured his a chillies
Houston now possibly having knee issues?

A few weeks ago I questioned the Chiefs medical staff and was lit up for it. This is too much of a coincidence.

We don't know which knee Houston hurt.

DJ injured his OTHER Achilles.

Gaines' issue is that he sucks, not that his knee is no good.

The Chiefs medical staff has very little to do with any of this. Bottom line is the Chiefs are actually one of the more healthy teams in the league, and if anything, you should be praising them.

So if you were lit up for it, you deserved it.

O.city 12-16-2016 01:11 PM

They've got 9 guys on ir. They aren't one of the more healthy teams in the league.
