Mariota out for season with broken fibula, Matt Casshole to start

Chiefs Titans in playoffs, if either of us even make it at thus point, just got a fun storyline

How the **** is Cassel still employed?

Why Not? 12-24-2016 04:22 PM

What season? The Titans were eliminated today. I don't care what the numbers say

NJChiefsFan 12-24-2016 04:24 PM

Chiefs vs. Titans in the playoffs. Cassel beats KC. If there ever was a #becausechiefs moment that would be it.

He can thank Bernard Pollard.

Pollard knocks out Brady for a season and Casshole gets to drive the Patriots Ferrari for a season and put up decent stats, creating a mirage that he is an NFL-QB.

Interesting scenario. Cassel vs Cassel 2.0

Bwana 12-24-2016 04:39 PM

Hope is now lost if you are a Titman fan.

TEX 12-24-2016 04:39 PM

Jax, with Blake ****ING Bortles, tore them a new one via the PASS, BECAUSE THE TITANS SUCK AGAINST THE PASS, especially their back-up CB's... Gee, I wonder if the Chiefs should have TRIED that??? :cuss:

Rain Man 12-24-2016 04:41 PM

I think I would rather be a wild card and play against Cassel than get the bye. What a great confidence builder and momentum builder.

Yep. Done. And when Oakland beats the Colts today, the Texans clinch at 8 - 6. IF the Chiefs make it, they'll likely open on the road in Houston and then Oakland. Im really not against that scenario.

Still Id rather KC get the bye but I doubt that happens now.

Are you just generally saying that? Because the Titans have been eliminated.

Nope, if Texans shit the bed tonight and lose to the Bengals then the week 17 matchup of Titans Texans will determine the division winner because it looks like the Colts are about to lose to the Raiders. So Texans could end 8-8 still and Titans 9-7

So is it possible that we could still get the Casselbye?

I understand they aren't technically eliminated but my point is, they're done anyway. An NFL team cannot win a game with the Casshole at QB. It won't happen. So even if the Texans lose tonight, they will beat Tenn next week

sedated 12-24-2016 04:56 PM

This really affected Tennessee's chance of getting blown out in the first round of the playoffs

That's better than the regular bye. The team can practice their blocking on interception returns and refine their sacking techniques.

Direckshun 12-24-2016 05:31 PM

The Titans may have won the battle, but we have now won the war.

Easy 6 12-24-2016 06:15 PM

Damn! we would've won if Cassel had started against us

We would've won if they had brought Cassel in to do a victory kneeldown. I'm sure he would've fumbled or inexplicably thrown the ball up in the air.

Mark Casshole vs. Alice Smiff.
What a glorious crapfest!

Think of it, George; 2 1/2 hours of coma-inducing offense, no matter WHO IS ON THE FIELD.

Could you take it?

I'm not sure even a Navy Seal could survive such a travesty.

Battle of the Fetal Position!

Rain Man 12-24-2016 08:26 PM

Come on, guys. Alex and Cassel can't even be discussed in the same paragraph, much less the same sentence. Even if there are some frustrations with Alex, he's still seventy billion times better than Cassel.

Okay, okay, I agree.

Neither are worth discussing.

GOODNIGHT, CLEVELAND!

I believe mass harikari is in order for ChiefsPlanet if a Matt Cassel-led team defeated the Chiefs in the playoffs.

Perfect. Expect a #Casselbye hashtag to trend in KC if this happens.

No one should ever attach a dream of any sort to Matt Cassel.

And.....Casshole curls up in the fetal position in his living room....

Hypothetically, yes. But it's impossible. We could rest starters for this game.

Gonna have to record the Titans game on Sunday.

Hilarity will ensue!

rico 12-25-2016 12:39 AM

I haven't cried due to being upset from a sports outcome (wrestling not included) since the Cardinals got beat by the Braves in the playoffs in the 90's...blew a 3-1 series lead.

If the Chiefs get beaten by the Titans in the playoffs...I will probably cry.
