today sucked

I backed the one year old truck into the 9 month old garage door. Banged up the tailgate a little.

Wife opened the door. I thought it was closed hit the button in the truck. Boom. Backed into it.

Christmas Eve service never sucked so much. Probably around 1000 to fix it all.

AAARRGGGH.

AND **** the raiders and donkeys

Pointer19 12-24-2016 08:56 PM

That means tomorrow will seem heavenly in comparison! Sorry about the bad luck. Have a merry Christmas, Displaced.

stumppy 12-24-2016 08:59 PM

Now that you got all of that out of the way things should be great.

GloryDayz 12-24-2016 08:59 PM

Ugh, sorry to hear it..

Sandy Vagina 12-24-2016 08:59 PM

Just keep in mind what the truly important things are.. and be thankful for the ones you have.

SAUTO 12-24-2016 09:01 PM

So you started backing out with out looking?

What if your neighbors kid walked out or something?

Probably should be glad it's just the door you hit...

carcosa 12-24-2016 09:01 PM

I though this was gonna be incredibly tragic until I read "garage door"

ghak99 12-24-2016 09:03 PM

Bad things happen in 3s, better lock the widows before Santa knocks up your wife.

stumppy 12-24-2016 09:05 PM

:(
At least you have a garage door.......and a truck.

And a wife.

:D

gblowfish 12-24-2016 09:07 PM

Buy a Subie. They have rear back up camera built in, and Lezzies dig em!

Newly built house.

I am usually careful. Hit the wrong button in the truck

Bugeater 12-24-2016 09:12 PM

Real men back their vehicles into the garage.

stumppy 12-24-2016 09:24 PM

This isn't going to interfere with your attendance in the chat room tomorrow is it ?

Canofbier 12-24-2016 09:37 PM

SAUTO 12-24-2016 09:38 PM

Just to make sure you didn't miss my post.

You are probably lucky it was only a garage door.

lewdog 12-24-2016 09:40 PM

I still don't understand how this happens? And what does pushing wrong button in truck mean?

She opened the door, he thought it was closed, he hit the button and closed it, he backed up without ever looking behind him (not to beat a dead house here, but holy shit dude) and hit the closing door...

Oh for sure.

I'm around moving cars all day long, nothing gets me more upset then seeing someone throwing a car in reverse and never looking back. Good way to get someone killed or hurt real bad.

Not trying to be an asshole, but it's your fault.

You were driving and didn't look back before backing up. If you had you would have seen the door.

Its an accident, sure. And it's good that it's just your door and tail gate. Just remember to not take it for granted there's nothing behind you.

To make it worse. The truck hit the bottom of the door . By the time i backed up, the door had moved down. bad timing

Demonpenz 12-25-2016 01:01 AM

Do you have a paypal. I will give you some money.

TinyEvel 12-25-2016 02:01 AM

I just found out that my former work partner has aggressive cancer in his pelvis, kidneys and lungs. He's one of the funniest people I know. He is in serious life threatening condition. This sucks. Cancer sucks.

Cable-8 ft door. RAM truck. Have to swing the mirrors in to get it in the door.
Still mad

Yes, Cancer still sucks more.

stumppy 12-25-2016 09:42 AM

You're playing this all wrong. The Mrs. should have known better than to operate anything involving electicity, mechanics, and a remote control. You know...women ppfffftt.
This is your chance to put one in the bank to cover any screw up you may have in the future.
'I screwed up honey, kinda like you did with the garage door incident'

Sure, that will work.
Still mad. Nothing like spending vacation calling a door guy, insurance and auto body quotes. Would rather pull my kidney out.

:D
It's worth a shot. Please post the results.

Come on man, just trying to cheer you up.
Not trying to get all sappy on you but come on man. You HAVE a new house, you HAVE a new truck, you HAVE insurance to cover screw ups.
There are plenty of people who would gladly give a kidney to have those 'problems'.

HonestChieffan 12-25-2016 10:15 AM

I bought a replacement tailgate, painted, Amazon....was perfect and under 450 to the door

cabletech94 12-25-2016 10:41 AM

I'd love one. With a sloping driveway and a tonneau backing out is a bitch. Because of that I open the garage door when walking into the garage, then check. It's saved a few bikes and a car that were parked behind me. I was stunned, just stunned, that I couldn't see the car! I was doing my usual bike/other stuff check, a boom, a car! I realized I couldn't see the car because when I got in the truck (waiting for them to move the car), I couldn't see it.

Iowanian 12-25-2016 04:50 PM

It's all perspective friend.

In the big picture that is a f ar cry from a shitty day.
