It seems like there are very few people who follow it closely, but there are plenty of people who might tune in once in a while to see a bunch of fighters they know nothing about pummel each other. They don't want to see wrestling or people dancing around, they are bored by technical fighting. They just want to see a street brawl. In that sense, one fight is as good as another.

Personally I think boxing is far more interesting even though I wanted to like UFC and followed it somewhat during the mid 2000s like a lot of people did.

Its like boxing in that there are a few die-hard fans and a TON of casual fans who tune in a couple times a year for huge events.

Also the more stringent testing is going to hurt the popularity if this keeps happening.

There really aren't very many fighters testing positive, most of them quit taking shit and aren't even trusting supplements anymore.

The UFC has almost 400 fighters on their roster and are doing literally thousands of tests a year. The few positive tests make the news.

That's kinda how i feel about it too. I haven't purchased a fight since GSP was a thing. They've lost way too much star power.

I've always thought the same thing. But idiots think steroids make you instantly strong. They don't. You still have to train and lift. The only thing the roids do is make you heal faster to do more lifting and training. Same thing with Bonds....yeah...he was juicing...but he still had to hit the ball from major league pitches. Pitchers trying to beat him....and they rarely succeeded.
