I think Allen97 is an underrated part of this team

We've been looking for ways to save cap dollars going into next year, and for a long time now people keep bringing up Allen97 as a guy we should cut.

Allen97 looks great this preseason and he's showing us that not only does he not deserve to be cut, but he's going to SOLIDIFY his starting spot on the line. Rakeem99, Chris95, and Tanoh92 all want time at this end spots and are good enough to get significant snaps, but Allen97 is showing this offseason that he's still currently the best DE on the team. And actually, his contract is a pretty good deal considering what he gives us.

Other important players that we sort of take for granted are Ron38 and Justin50. Yes, Justin50. People are really overlooking the impact he's going to have on this team being fully healthy, and even if he's NOT fully healthy, he made a HUGE difference in setting the edge against run plays and getting coverage sacks. The guy still knows how to get it done and is guaranteed to get double digit sacks if he plays the full 16 games.

And let's not forget about the unsung heroes on offense, either. Spencer32, Demetrius84, and Mitch61 are a big part of what we do when we run 2-TE sets and pound it on the ground. I want to see us run more of that this year and play around with getting different guys involved in the passing game out of that formation. Anybody else think Orson85 could see some success if he sticks around as a 3rd or 4th TE?

Jah75 coming in as an extra lineman is okay on overload plays in short yardage, but I think Parker79 is a better option because he's sturdier and can move guys better instead of just absorbing them like Jah75 does.

Rasputin 08-24-2017 08:32 PM

I think teams will fear our D line. Also I think it will be better with a rotation to keep guys healthy and strong into the fourth quarter. Something I think they should have done with Poe.

The defensive line is insane when healthy.

Buns 08-24-2017 08:35 PM

I'm going say DAT. I think the emergence of Tyreek Hill blew everyone out of the water and DAT got kind of on the back burner list. This year however I think with Tyreek bein #1 WR and that leaves kick off returns and DAT in the slot that he will have an exceptional year.

Eric Fisher. But Ron Parker could get my vote as well.

Who the **** are you talking about? I don't know any of those guys.

Do you mean DeAnthony13? I think that's a solid choice. Tyreek10 is just plain better in all ways than DeAnthony13, but that still doesn't mean he can't be very useful to this team.

Ron38 is so good. He can step in and play nickel in injury situations, and while he'll give up some yards, he'll also make a couple key important big plays while playing at CB.

Eric72 is only important because his replacement is so awful.

Yea my vote was Ron38 as well. How the hell do you get cut 6 times and finally decide to play lights out and be a top 5 FS in the league. It's crazy

Good question and probably worthy of a poll. I would be interested to see who is the most underrated starter on both sides of the ball. Interested enough to start those polls, idk.

De'Anthony13 has quietly turned into a beast special teamer.

Didn't everyone want to cut him before the start of last season?

Some did. Some were loud about it. Doesn't mean that's who the entire board felt.

That was because of rumors that his heart wasn't into football anymore after the strange way his 2015 season ended.

It's looking like I was wrong on Patrick15. He looks like the real deal already. Can't wait to see him in NFL'18. Hope I'm wrong about kareem27 too.

Allen Bailey is a decent to solid starter but nothing more. I expect Chris Jones to be much better than him this year.

Dartgod 08-25-2017 07:15 AM

WTF, everyone has been Sandy Cheeks mults all along?

GAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!

All joking aside, Bailey has looked phenomenal in preseason this year

I'm expecting a big year for Chris17. Teams will no doubt focus on Tyreek10 and Kelce87 so Chris17 should have plenty of opportunies.

Residual butthurt via internet is ALWAYS stupid.. but it garnered a small smirk.

Much more interest in getting RNR under a long-term deal, but at least he will be a RFA, so there is reason for more patience there. Bailey has the year to impress for a new deal. This DL is going to wreck shit, if they stay healthy, and get a nice rotation in. :)

RealSNR 08-25-2017 12:12 PM

I think it's funny when you get the guys with uncommon first names.

Jah75 is my favorite. That one makes me laugh.

Depends on the injury, I would think. They may just stash him on IR.

Pretty sure that Dadi is going on IR

That doesn't help his development. He was on the PS all last season and participated this year during minicamps, OTA's and training camp.

He's also 25 years old.

What good will spending the year on IR do for a 26 year old receiver that's never taken an NFL snap next Training Camp?

Nothing, obviously.

Personally, I think, if healthy, he should make the team over Robinson. However, if they have decided that he is just missing the cut, they may decide to use IR to retain his rights another year. I believe the rules have changed so that you can now call up two players off IR so they may hold on to him in case of injury to a WR.

Like I said, it depends on how severe the current injury is. I didn't see it happen so I 'm not sure what's wrong with him.

Probably Witzmann70. I'd think Gaines23, but maybe White24 will push for it.

ToxSocks 08-25-2017 03:20 PM

You know what, imma neg rep all you ****s who refer to players by their name and jersey number.

I'm serious. So don't take it personal.

I won't do it in this thread because it's the spirit of the thread....but if i catch ANY of you doing that shit outside of this thread imma drop neg rep bombs like it's D-day in Hiroshima.

Those players do not inspire confidence.
