There's a chance that the Chiefs are just shutting down Ford so he can't claim an injury in the off-season that will keep them from cutting him due to the 'health guaranteed' 5th year option.

Yep. Neither Ford nor Hali are earning their salaries. Veach needs to aggressively pursue options at edge rusher this offseason. Personally, I think KPass has potential, but until proven any more than that, we aren't in great shape at the position.

Whatever it takes to ensure he isn't on the books next year, thebChiefs need to do. We can find someone who is a better all around player for 50-75% of the cost.

yep. HFA at Arrowhead is somewhat of a myth IMO, regardless of regular season or post season.

It's awesome for us fans, but I don't think opposing teams are really impacted by it much , if at all.

Being at home isn't as big of deal as just not being on the road... I don't want them to travel to Pittsburgh and New England back to back weeks. It'd be hard enough to win even one of those games, let alone two.

We need to at least try to get one of those at home.

It's time to do some serious house cleaning this next off season. Ford is hurt half the time, Hali ROFL has only played a few snaps all season, dead weight.

Hali was complaining because they wouldn't play him a full season. Now he can't even handle a single game without having knee issues. We might be 6-3 but unless our Offensive line stays healthy and play like studs we aren't doing a damn thing this year that matters. Yes, we can win a crappy AFC West but it will be one and done in the players again.

The problem with that is then executing in the post season and not coming out flat.

You know this. There are tight games every week even among heavy favorites, and frequent upsets. Why narrow that gap even further by sitting multiple players?

I could see sitting one, maybe two, iffy guys. But a handful? With seven games left? As part of a strategy to coast into the playoffs? No way. Not only do I disagree with that idea, I'm extremely skeptical that that's what the Chiefs are doing. I think that's just trying to rationalize uncomfortable news -- "Oh, it's just part of some master plan!"

Other than Wilson, these players aren't worth the time of even discussing.

The owner, GM and Head Coach need to start parting ways with people who can't perform. Not unlike the Pats. Yes, Gronk and Grady get passes, but generally speaking the Pats let players know they're expendable.
