"Tamba Hali, Dee Ford, Albert Wilson and Allen Bailey will all miss Sunday's game against the Giants due to injuries." - @TerezPaylor

DJ's left nut 11-17-2017 03:21 PM

Oh for ****'s sake.

Coming off a damn bye and Ford/Hali still can't get on the field?

Well that's wonderful.

oldman 11-17-2017 03:23 PM

Time to just say no to Ford. As much as I hate it, it's time for Hali to go as well.

There's a chance that the Chiefs are just shutting down Ford so he can't claim an injury in the off-season that will keep them from cutting him due to the 'health guaranteed' 5th year option.

If he's not back by week 13, he won't be back at all, IMO.

Yep. Neither Ford nor Hali are earning their salaries. Veach needs to aggressively pursue options at edge rusher this offseason. Personally, I think KPass has potential, but until proven any more than that, we aren't in great shape at the position.

Whatever it takes to ensure he isn't on the books next year, thebChiefs need to do. We can find someone who is a better all around player for 50-75% of the cost.

I agree, but keeping him on the bench isn't going to prove or disprove anything. Play the kid.

kcchiefsus 11-17-2017 03:32 PM

I can't wait until Hali and Ford are gone.

pugsnotdrugs19 11-17-2017 03:34 PM

This could be one of those deals too where Reid is looking at the opponent and saying, hey, we can probably win without you guys and give you an extra week of rest. But, it's frustrating regardless.

Eleazar 11-17-2017 03:34 PM

We have a bottom-third defense, so it's probably time for a lot of people to go.

The Franchise 11-17-2017 03:38 PM

**** you, Hali. You sure are healthy like you said.

Fish 11-17-2017 03:38 PM

Linebackers are overrated....

gblowfish 11-17-2017 03:39 PM

Play K-Pass. Let's see what the kid can do.

O.city 11-17-2017 03:40 PM

Boy what a great look for Tamba after that rant

The Franchise 11-17-2017 03:41 PM

Anybody know if Nicholas has been practicing?

Hammock Parties 11-17-2017 03:42 PM

we have two byes

O.city 11-17-2017 03:43 PM

Good god though, coming out of a bye and you can't even practice! Just it the guys so they aren't taking a roster spot

They can't afford to lose another game this year if they have hopes of HFA.

For ****s sake it's all hands on deck

pugsnotdrugs19 11-17-2017 03:44 PM

KPass is currently our only backup to Houston and Zombo, as Nicolas has not been activated yet

The Franchise 11-17-2017 03:45 PM

If we lose this game.....then I would be cutting Hali and Ford immediately after it.

Dayze 11-17-2017 03:47 PM

without them, who will we drop into coverage?

I completely agree with you, I just hope that they are just being cautious. Our pass rush is already struggling, but without Hali AND Ford? Yikes

Frazod 11-17-2017 03:53 PM

Jesus. This Ford definitely stands for Found On Road Dead. :shake:

BlackHelicopters 11-17-2017 03:58 PM

Hali out? This is actually unbelievable.

Red Dawg 11-17-2017 04:06 PM

Injuries have killed us. OL and now defense. We have no luck at all.

I don't know if you've noticed, but the Chiefs are ****ing terrible at Arrowhead in the playoffs ROFL

yep. HFA at Arrowhead is somewhat of a myth IMO, regardless of regular season or post season.

It's awesome for us fans, but I don't think opposing teams are really impacted by it much , if at all.

pugsnotdrugs19 11-17-2017 04:14 PM

Being at home isn't as big of deal as just not being on the road... I don't want them to travel to Pittsburgh and New England back to back weeks. It'd be hard enough to win even one of those games, let alone two.

We need to at least try to get one of those at home.

Yeah, that too. I don't think the Chiefs have great odds either way, not at least right now, but things can change quick. Injuries can happen, etc.

We need them to be hedging their bets for the easiest possible path in January.

It always seems like the Chiefs consistently have more injuries than other teams...but I know that's likely not the case...just seems to be.

This still sucks, though...could really use all of these guys.

Fish 11-17-2017 04:40 PM

Sounds bad. But don't forget, the Giants have put 18 players on the IR this year...

It's time to do some serious house cleaning this next off season. Ford is hurt half the time, Hali ROFL has only played a few snaps all season, dead weight.

JakeF 11-17-2017 04:49 PM

Hali was complaining because they wouldn't play him a full season. Now he can't even handle a single game without having knee issues. We might be 6-3 but unless our Offensive line stays healthy and play like studs we aren't doing a damn thing this year that matters. Yes, we can win a crappy AFC West but it will be one and done in the players again.

Andy Schottenheimer, Marty Reid ... take your pick

I need something to give me hope. :(

On the positive side, we should have tons of salary cap space next year.

Iconic 11-17-2017 05:28 PM

Think they are just taking precaution against an opponent that by all means should be a gimmie. I'll put a hold on freaking out till I see the injury report for next Sunday.

RINGLEADER 11-17-2017 05:47 PM

Chiefs haven't scored more than 17 points in a game that Albert Wilson hasn't played in.

All these old vets that are making big money need to be show the door if they can't play.

Good run and thanks for your service but Tamba, DJ, bailey, ford aren't gonna get better

Main reason you need cap relief by dumping faux MVP. We need cap space to rebuild.

I guarantee you Eligwe makes this statement false. Just give him time.

Doesn’t necessarily excuse Dorsey for all of the misses at the position, but I think he’s going to be a stud.

Pushead2 11-17-2017 07:33 PM

As much as the defense has been sucking balls, this offense needs to get back into rhythm and start opening up.

Nah.

The Chiefs have one of the easiest remaining schedules in the league and the goal is to “hide” until the postseason.

The problem with that is then executing in the post season and not coming out flat.

But there’s value in the concept.

Easy is a relative term. Nobody in this league is Directional State. Not even the Browns, who are an awful franchise, but on any given Sunday ...

You know this. There are tight games every week even among heavy favorites, and frequent upsets. Why narrow that gap even further by sitting multiple players?

I could see sitting one, maybe two, iffy guys. But a handful? With seven games left? As part of a strategy to coast into the playoffs? No way. Not only do I disagree with that idea, I'm extremely skeptical that that's what the Chiefs are doing. I think that's just trying to rationalize uncomfortable news -- "Oh, it's just part of some master plan!"

The only player out of the lot that’s made a difference is Wilson and he’s the #4 WR at best

The league is awful. Did you watch the Thursday night game?

The owner, GM and Head Coach need to start parting ways with people who can't perform. Not unlike the Pats. Yes, Gronk and Grady get passes, but generally speaking the Pats let players know they're expendable.

Yeah but chiefs fans bought there jersey and have emotional attachments to those players. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...b64ed7ca4d.jpg

We need to cut the sentimental bullshit and start worrying about championships.

As long as Fisher didn’t face Harrison at the guard position. He might be decent.

Cause we all know. Game on the line and needing a big play from franchise fisher ain’t gonna happen.
