He's living off the NE game. He's largely been the Alex Smith of old ever since. Ultra conservative, dink and dunk, average QB. The only difference the in games 1-4 ish is that he'd have a few big plays sprinked in and didn't throw a pick.

The pros are that Mahomes gets the reps heading into next season against lower-quality opponents mostly at home.

The cons are that we might not win a playoff game this season - which isn’t happening anyway with Smith.

Wentz was way better than okay. They started 5-0 and their lack of receiving options held him back. After their 2017 offseason, they added weapons and are 8-1.

Goff was hosed by the coaching staff.

I've been against playing Mahomes this season regardless of Alex's play, but now I just don't see any reason not to start the kid.
