What are your THREE favorite parts of Thanksgiving?

Poll coming faster than the Mayflower across the Atlantic.

Pick THREE items on the poll.

Edit: football on the line should be football on the lawn. You know, like the Kennedys used to do.

Nickhead 11-21-2017 06:52 PM

Buehler445 11-21-2017 06:55 PM

I’m really not a fan of Thanksgiving.

Unbuckling my belt, loosening my waistband, and not losing my career for doing so.

Not having to watch Clay and BillAy watch the game together.

Leftover white meat turkey breast on white bread with lettuce, cranberry sauce, extra mayo, salt, pepper and some left over sides reheated like turnips or sweet potatoes.

If it weren't for the stuffing and the green bean casserole, I'd work Thursday.

Flying High D 11-21-2017 08:12 PM

Not watching Philip Gaines on tv on thanksgiving x 3

Reerun_KC 11-21-2017 08:15 PM

There's no room in my life for half-hearted polls.

Frolicking sexually with the turkey.
Frolicking sexually with the turkey and my significant other at the same time.

"Frolicking sexually with my ‘significant other’ while they’re wearing a sexy Native American costume"

You know, I've never been a "role play" or "sexy dress up" person.

That said if the wife dressed up like a fräulein at Octoberfest I'd probably be willing to put up with family for a few hours...

Buzz 11-21-2017 09:51 PM

Family, friends and food, I'm good. Love each and every one of you degenerate bastards, have a nice holiday.

Fish 11-21-2017 09:57 PM

Turkey, tators, and gravy...

There isn't nearly enough in turkey to make you tired. It's the carbs and fat that make you want to sleep.

Fire Me Boy! 11-22-2017 07:23 AM

I reject the premise as there's no pecan pie option.

vailpass 11-22-2017 07:37 AM

Turkey. Wild Turkey. No jive turkeys (no work)

You had me at "Frolicking sexually with my ‘significant other’ "

Easy 6 11-22-2017 11:28 AM

Food, football, tryptophan induced coma nap

My family used to have huge get togethers for the holidays, all the younger folk would go outside to throw the football around etc... but those days are long gone

All of the 'glue' people have passed on, now its usually just myself, ma, and my two kids

The Franchise 11-22-2017 11:32 AM

Dinner rolls
Napping
Long weekend because of work.

raybec 4 11-22-2017 11:36 AM

Two of those items could be combine for some of our planeteers, visiting relatives at the uncrowded strip club is a must in the trailer court.

It used to be that way for my family too. My brother and I decided we were going to be the glue people for our family. Between all of our kids and grand kids and our dad we get it rockin pretty good.

ptlyon 11-22-2017 11:39 AM

Hookers, blow, and I can't think of the third

Good on you and your bro for holding things together, it makes holidays sooo much better when everyone reunites

All thats really left of my family either...

a) now live on the other side of the country

b) are Jehovas Witnesses now, and so do not participate

c) are only an hour or so away, but have become too good to bother now that all of their kids have their own kids... and so they have their own thing with their in-laws etc

I had to eliminate it as a poll option in case people had nut allergies.

vailpass 11-22-2017 11:54 AM

Piece of white bread with turkey, mashed potatoes, covered in gravy for lunch the day after Thanksgiving.
Then starting to get good and drunk so I don't go to the gym for a guilt workout.

Scaga 11-22-2017 12:55 PM

Favorite part....The end....

BlackHelicopters 11-22-2017 01:04 PM

Kate Beckinsale

cooper barrett 11-22-2017 01:06 PM

Thanksgiving just started here on the east time zone. picking up 3 growlers of Scotch ale, drinking a couple of bourbon barrel aged 14.5% rye ales and am going to go home and stare at the ladder and tell myself that they will clean themselves...

Tomorrow, I invited a friend over for dinner as her family is too far away and she wants to work the weekend.
I am doing Sous Vide prime beef fillet (cold smoked then dunked) served with stuffed and smoked potatoes, Italian sausage stuffed and smoked onions. Spaghetti squash with a scrimp scampi butter sauce. "Cherry Brandy Bon Bon" ice cream (Recipe from the old WW's in Independence) cake with chocolate moose layers for desert.

I'll be posting fictitious sex stories in the "Clay needs to get "laid" thread as this gal and my SO are pretty good friends...

Hoping the weird uncle still has some of that weird in him that makes the holidays, "holidays"

Travel well, be safe, don't tear any condoms...

1) My drive to Fankfort, KS. I've been through Wamego, KS 25 times, every time on Thanksgiving Day. I'm sure it's a great little town. It's always closed every time I'm there.
2) Cranberry Sauce. Get away from me, I want a lot of it. The jellied kind shaped like the inside of the can!
3) Lemon Cake. My grandma's recipe. I'm going to make one today. Great with milk.

If O'Mallys in Weston was open, and they are, and Reeder was preforming??? the ride home in the dark might be more fun. :D:D:D:D Maybe a B+B with Mrs Gblowfish??? May I suggest the Benner House?

I bet the Lions-Cowboys ratio was different when Barry Sanders was playing.

patteeu 11-22-2017 07:37 PM

I not that big of a fan of most of the traditional thanksgiving foods, but I like a leftover turkey sandwich.

It's good getting together with the family too.
