I wanted to enjoy my time so there was very, very minimal Chiefs talk. The BIL is a former season ticket holder/ fairly homer, but we both talked shit on Alice for a little bit and that was the extent of my Chiefs conversation.

The culture of true fans is dumbfounding. They really don’t care about a Super Bowl. Just as long as we are “in the playoff mix” and “making the playoffs every years” like the Marty years is good enough as long as we “make a little noise “ throughout the season and “hopefully “ in the playoffs.

Same. The Chiefs came up at Thanksgiving, but it was just brief smack down talk of the Chiefs by all. You got to come onto sites like this to find homers that think this team is legit.

It feels like I'm basically stuck in time with Chiefs and NFL discussion. Every year I'm asked if I've watched this game or that game, how I feel about some player, etc; and every year I shrug and say I don't watch nearly as much NFL these days and it's always the same story with the Chiefs, etc.

I feel like it should be even more obvious now that I'm not in the regional coverage area, but no...

In general though, those who talk about the Chiefs are pretty realistic.
