If anyone has a stronger arm than Patrick Mahomes, he hasn't seen it
If anyone has a stronger arm than Patrick Mahomes, he hasn't seen it
BY PETER GRATHOFF pgrathoff@kcstar.com Wyoming quarterback Josh Allen turned heads when a video surfaced of him throwing a football 50 yards while he was kneeling. Even before that video went viral, Allen was being touted as having the strongest arm of any quarterback that would be available in the NFL Draft. Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes has seen some of the videos of Allen's ridiculous arm. And while on the "Stick To Football" podcast earlier this month, Mahomes was asked who could throw a ball farther. "I've seen these things with Josh, but I'm going to say I believe I have the stronger arm," Mahomes said. "I've never seen anyone throw harder than me with the football. Until I see it in person, I believe I have the stronger arm." There is a video that shows Allen throwing a ball 77 yards, but Mahomes said he's topped that. In fact, if the Chiefs are in need of a "Hail Mary" at the end of a game, they won't need to get the ball to midfield. Not with Mahomes under center. "The furthest I have even thrown the ball was 85 yards," Mahomes said. "But I had a little wind at my back, so I don't claim that one. At my Pro Day, I threw it like 80 if it was windy, but I didn't throw it as good as I could have. It was wobbling." That is still incredible. |
BTW. I don't give a **** if it's a REPOST we need to inject some mother****ing positivity here.

In high school I lobbed a 90 yarder. Sure I would have got 100 but my hammer swings pretty freely and throws off my center of gravity so it's a little tougher for me.

I threw a football 1 mile straight up in the air. When it landed it killed me. I'm a ghost

They still are no Bobby Bell.

I once kicked a 42 yard field goal. It was glorious.

BIOGRAPHY Name: Bobby Bell How Acquired: Draft (No. 7 – 1963) Position: Linebacker Career: 1963 – 1974 Birth Place: Shelby, North Carolina Employer: Retired When Bobby Bell walked off the University of Minnesota campus back in 1963, he could have played any position on the football field. “I can honestly say that Bobby Bell had as much talent as anyone I ever coached,” according to former Chiefs Coach Hank Stram. Bell could throw a football the length of the field. He could outrun most fullbacks and punt with the best of them. He started his NFL career as a defensive end, but soon switched to outside linebacker where he, Dick Butkus, Sam Huff, Ray Nitschke and his Chiefs teammate, Willie Lanier, were among the greatest to ever play the linebacking position. While Butkus, Lanier and company used brute strength to dominate the middle, Bell used a rare combination of speed and strength to redefine the outside linebacking position. He earned eight consecutive trips to post-season All-Star and Pro-Bowl games and surprised no one when he joined team owner Lamar Hunt in the Professional Football Hall of Fame on July 30, 1983. He was also selected as the outstanding outside linebacker in the American Football League and was named to the League’s all-time All-Star team. He was inducted into the Chiefs Hall of Fame in 1979. Bobby was a 6’4”, 228 pounder with a 32” waist and lean torso. His trademark, high-topped shoes and ability to stop a runner in the open field are a rich part of Kansas City’s football legacy. He’s one big reason that the Chiefs appeared in the first AFL – NFL championship game and also why the underdog te |

Coach finally decided to put me at RB in the I formation. QB would pitch it to me and I would use the ole hammer like a whip on oncoming rushers. Then, when I had concussed the entire defense, and all of our receivers were in the end zone playing Rummy, I would shovel pass it the necessary 50 or 75 yards. Whatever was needed. :D |
I saw Josh Allen play against Iowa this year, and he looked like shit.

How much you wanna bet I could throw a football over them mountains?

80 yard hail marys won't work .He'll have to sit in the pocket 10 seconds for us to get receivers down there and they'll be winded.
But the 30 yard strike to Hill with blockers in front ala dallas will work |
