Movie night.
The premise should be clear: we'll have a poll and then agree to watch the same film on the same day at the same time.
No, Simply-Red, you don't HAVE to. This is for the people that want to. First genre will be decided by Rainman poll (should he agree to the basic rules) and we'll move on from there. CP FILM OF THE WEEK! Does it become a thing? |
Is it gonna be a porn?
Will there be any lap sitting or the “popcorn trick”? |
It might.
God I hope not... |
What kind of porn will Rainman pick? I sure hope it isn't some of that butt stuff kind.

Let's get this straight right now.
I don't want none of you old saggy ball'd bastards taking your eyes off the screen and looking at me. Eyes forward EVERYONE! |
I believe there's an app that let's everyone tune in to the same movie
|
Can we take spank breaks?

Depending on the flick...:( |
Zero Dark Thirty
|
Threat Level Midnight
|
I'd like to make this perfectly clear - that this was an original Simply Red thought, initially.
|
But thanks for doing the thread, I've been busy in the Hardees thread!
|
I do like this - I'd fully participate.

How about 50s musicals?

Ivanhoe, North By Northwest, On The Waterfront, Bridge Over The River Kwai, 12 Angry Men, Rebel Without A Cause, Ben-Hur - just too many to count. It would also be cool to break it down by decade beginning in the 1950’s. |
The per decade thing would be a good idea.
I just watched one from 58 over the weekend with Gary cooper. Western called Man of The West (I think). |

Brokeback Mountain or Steel Magnolias?
|
I’d be down for some 70s cinema. Lots of great films I’ve never seen from that era

I'd be in on this. There are a lot of allegedly great movies I've never thought about watching before.

A drive in movie
https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-YA7BT7GTF...0/crawling.jpg A series of decapitations on a Swiss mountainside appear to be connected to a mysterious radioactive cloud. Director: Quentin Lawrence Writers: Jimmy Sangster (screenplay), Peter Key (story) Stars: Forrest Tucker, Laurence Payne, Jennifer Jayne https://ffilms.org/the-crawling-eye-1958/ Warning if you go to that site you may kill hours of time. Hundreds of full length movies sorted by decade or genre. |

Watched Hacksaw Ridge for the first time yesterday...epic.
The gore beats Saving Private Ryan, amazingly enough... Great flick. |

At some point we all need to watch this piece of shit. I guarantee a good time, and a fun thread with lots of people discovering the majesty that is Count Zarth:

What is the logistics of this going be?
Watch simultaneously and be in the chat? Or is it like a book report? Duel is a good choice. Dennis Hopper right? Written by Stephen King I believe |
Quote:
And Richard Matheson wrote the screenplay. Stephen King was a fan, and wrote a similar story with a supernatural twist, that was made into Maxium Overdrive, but he had nothing to do with Duel. |

I'd prefer NOT to chose quality here, maybe something like Evil Dead - just my vote. If it's not horror though - I doubt I'll attend, but I DO hope you guys have fun!
|
I'd watch Duel though - I've never seen it. Let us know!
|
Anybody want to have a Nic Cage movie watching contest?

This is such a great idea, and thats exactly why it'll never work
I was all in when Red brought it up, but we all know the logistics of it prevent fruition |
Wizard of Oz:rolleyes:is there anyone in the world who hasnt seen it a half dozen times minimum. Most wouldnt have to even watch to discuss lol.
|
Make it an MST3K kinda thing.

Next time, let me handle the thread creation - your promotion skills are inferior.

you do seem nice though.
|
Did this ever happen?
I wouldn't mind some good movie selections. Having a 2-year-old, we have Baby (aka Storks), Vroom Vroom (aka Cars 3), and Roar! (aka either one of the Ice Age movies or How to Train Your Dragon) on a pretty consistent cycle. |

There's a bald, alien chick now. Apparently, this big giant vessel is in search of it's creator.
Spock is such a ****. |
Bald chick is pretty hot though. Anyone else into Yule Brenner?
|
Let's all watch Porky's II on Friday?
How does that sound? |

Yule looks terrible with hair though. http://moodyeyeview.files.wordpress....ynner-6029.jpg |
I'm taking this over - Saturday night at 8 PM CST we will be showing and discussing the non popular 1991 movie 'Scary Movie' The full video is up on Youtube, I'll create the thread - block out 1.5 hours so that we can watch this movie and discuss it together. No pausing allowed - there will be a link in the new OP as we grow closer to Saturday the 14th.
<iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/9lNDULoUi14" frameborder="0" allow="autoplay; encrypted-media" allowfullscreen></iframe> |
I'll stop in with some alcohol and hang for a bit if i'm awake.

Star Wars? A Concert film? A sports movie with all the hits and grunts? |
