$150,000 in one shot...
Would you do it?
The small production line I run, on average, ruins 60 bottles for a myriad of reasons. Some just can't be helped. We have a new owner, who is Chinese, and I find out they are exporting every bottle for $200 (We buy the same bottle here in town for $3). So my thought is this. I say I get the production to 100%, and still report the 60 bottles as broken, but take them home, and over time accumulate enough for a couple pallets and ship them to Chineseistan? One carton of 12 bottles of sparkling water nets $2400 dollars. One pallet has 64 cartons. After shipping costs, whatever that may be (probably what? 2000 bucks). That nets $151,000. Even if I took home a six pack every day for six months. There is no security, we all are against our new owners, but still maintain our ability to keep our jobs. FOR ONE ****ING PALLET OF SPARKLING WATER. $150,000 Would you? Rain Man, you have any shipping vessel recommendations? Looking to maximize my profit to debt ratio ;) |
Sounds like you could just start your own business and make a lot more...but who the **** pays that much for a bottle of water?
|
Sounds like a scam to me
|
So, do you get to take home bottles for free?
|
Hmm, asking CP if you should steal stuff from your work place.
I say go for it . **** China. |
If you can buy the bottles for $3.00 why resort to stealing them?
|
Just buy the bottles for $3 and sell them. Still seems like one of those, "I'm a prince from the middle east and need your help!" kind of deals.

I had a friend do this with "damaged" goods for a much smaller profit, and he went to prison. He is now working a low wage job that he is woefully overqualified for all because he got greedy.
Don't do it. |
I know when I'm considering a major crime, I like to post it online to get some feedback.
|
What a dumbass ROFL
|
Just quit and find a new job.
|
Reported to FBI and homeland security
|

If you cant afford to buy some sparkling water for 50 cents a bottle and sell it for 200$ and you didn't think of this immediately then you are a dipshit
|
I don't see any problem with this plan, in fact it sounds glorious and failproof.
What I think we need now is a before pic of your b hole. |
I think the key to selling $200 water is not the supply, but rather the demand.
If you can identify a Chinese person willing to pay $200, I can hook you up with some Romanians to get it there. |
New Zealanders, folks

Isn't this the plot to Superman 3?
|
So you'll just magically increase production to 100%, huh?

You wouldn't get shit for them. They are laundering money.
They will eventually get caught. Find a new job, then report them. |

No, I don't want to invest.

I'm going to offer some sound life-business advice.
If you honestly have a plan-suggestion to improve production or reduce damage/waste...spend some time writing that plan up and go present it to management and demonstrate how it's going to work and improve profit. If the company is sound, they'll appreciate your information(if it works) and it should come in some reward via bonus-raise-promotion. That's going to be more fiscally productive than trading rides on your moustache for snack credits in Aussie Rules prison. |

Sounds like a good way to get the Yakuza on your ass, if the feds don’t get you first.
1. It’s a crime. 2. You’d need to have a relationship with a buyer for the transaction. 3. You’d need to not get ****ed by the buyer not paying you, or blackmailing you.. 4. You’d need to have the buyer have a legit reason for why they don’t need to buy from their previous seller (your boss) without tipping off your boss that they have a thief. 5. You’d need to hide your earnings; the bank would tip off the feds if you deposit irregularly large sums of money. 6. You’d need your buyer to pay you in cash, which is weird and would require a face to face meeting which is risky for a dozen reasons. 7. You’d have your cash sitting under your mattress and couldnt buy anything like a car or whatever without tipping off feds. If we were talking a million bucks, maybe. But ****ing your life for a year or two’s salary? Stupid. |
Let me see if I understand:
You can by it for $3.00 a bottle legally and resell it to the Chinese for $200.00.... or you can steal it and risk going to prison to save $3.00 per bottle. If you can't figure out which is the best route to take, you're to stupid to do either. |
I'm fairly certain anything that could be said has already been said in this thread. You're an idiot if you try to pull this off.
|
Just DO IT ! You could tell them also that you have about 5 pounds of pot ready for harvest.

|
I wouldn't do it. But I think you should. So we can see what happens.

$200 per bottle? And that's wholesale, how much do you think the consumer would end up paying for it?
I'm going with money laundering.. |
https://www.chinahighlights.com/trav...nking-cost.htm
"Drinks — 2–10 yuan (0.30–1.50 USD) The cost for drinks in China is at least half the price in the West. The cheapest mineral water is about 2 yuan for a 500 ml bottle, while a similar bottle of cola is around4yuan. A can/bottle of beer is usually below 10 yuan. You can also see many milk tea / fruit juice shops in cities. The cost for a cup, usually for take-out, is 5–10 yuan." |

Stealing $3 water and hoping to find a retail buyer on another continent for $200. ****ing stupid.
Selling futures in $3 for $200 sparkling water to a Chinese imbecile... Brilliant. https://capi.com.au/app/uploads/2016...al-water-1.png |

Changing your story because everyone agrees it’s completely stupid? |
My uncle has been a computer programmer since the 60s. One of his first jobs was something financial. He found out millions of dollars was just sitting around in unclaimed accounts that he could easily write a program to siphon off of. He said he had it all planned out, but realized his big mistake was mentioning the idea to several friends when it was just a joke to him. That was the only way he thought they could eventually trace it back to him.
But that's nothing like a public internet forum. So I say go for it Nickhead! |

Has to be wrong on the math. I'm thinking not $200 U.S. Dollars but 200 RMB. Which would be about $30 U.S. Highly doubtful though someone is paying $200 when it can be had for $3. He would make a better profit IMO with baby formula and the Chinese would probably look the other way. |

Those Chinese business people are bad asses. |

Why the heck do you think I took that freighter to China? Chinese people will pay a king's ransom for a full shipping container of Doritos.

holy ****ing shit!!!... that movie, had moments filmed at the place i worked and the surrounds... https://res.akamaized.net/domain/ima...6_15-27-53.jpg this image was taken before the chinese lady, that would eventually end up in a mental institution, lose 6.5 million on the business, and sell back to the previous owner, the customer list. ROFL i can not believe someone knew of the movie. |

Sounds like money laundering. Getting caught would probably get your whole family dead. In jail at best. Unless you know someone already shipping stuff. You are going to have to pay 20k plus to ship. Not sure how you will get by their export customs.
