A potentially college-bound high school football player has been ruled ineligible to play because he is homeless.

Jamal Speaks has an offer to play at Temple University.

But the D.C. public school system has ruled him ineligible to play because they can’t verify his address.

He might of made out with a girl. A drunk girl. You know high school and things. In 40 years he will find out that it was wrong.

I would imagine you'd need to verify where a kid lives in order for him to be eligible so they know the person actually lives in the school district where they are playing.

Oh I get there are a lot of high schools cheating by bringing in out of district if not out of state athletes BUT if the kid has proven he is homeless and attends the high school he wants to play for then......my guess is not getting along with his mother and choosing not to live with her is not a good enough excuse for stating homelessness when he actually does have an address and chooses not to live there.
