We averaged like 30 PPG against them with Alex Smith. I expect we'll have similar success against them since they really don't have anyone to cover Kelce, Hill and Watkins.

I'm most concerned with Von Miller coming off the edge. Pat likes to play pretty loose. I could see him falling prey to a sack/strip special or throwing a bad interception after his arm is smacked.

Defensively, I hope we can generate some pressure and fix this leaky run defense. The Niners just came and smash mouthed us with a high school offense. I'd expect Denver to try to do the same to protect their trash QB.

We will probably need 40, a tough task against their D at Home. I imagine our D will give up 38!. :-(

I don't see a lot of difference in Denver and San Fran. Both have mediocre offenses and fairly good defenses. KC has consistently given Denver a hard game the last several years.

Broncos are going down hard, it's the beginning of a decade+ of dominance and I guarantee Andy hasn't forgotten those HGH fueled Manningface cheap years. Mahomes 750yds 11 TDs, Case Cassell 1-12 -421 yds 7 ints. Von Miller -2 sacks (Mahomes picks him up and body slams him several times, the NFL rules it so disrespectful that they deduct sacks from Von). VJ doesn't figure out his headset.

Schwartz does well against him but Von'll get a lick or two on Pat if he doesn't get the ball out quickly.

I only remembered the one sack and forced fumble on their OPI drive. He had Jimmy in his grasp once early in the game but he got away. Houston also had him in his grasp on the play JG shredded his knee.

I do remember one sack early on where it looked like a couple guys got to Garopp first and Houston dove on him after the fact. The way the cameraman zoomed in on Houston was strange because I was sure it was Ford and a DL's sack but I guess not..

Ford is likely not going to be ok. Every time he gets hurt, he stays that way for awhile. :shake:

I've never felt more comfortable going in to a donkey game as I do now. I have a QB that takes pride in his craft, hates to lose, and has a complete understanding of what a rivalry is all about.

My opponent has a garbage defense, a stumbling offense, and a head coach that most of the players probably don't respect.


As far as I'm concerned, being "cautious" about upcoming games left the building and went to Washington DC. The Chiefs are as good as any team in the league now, and a damned sight better than most.
