Marcus Peters is currently the 106th ranked corner on PFF right now
<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" data-lang="en"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">Wow. <a href="https://twitter.com/PFF?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">@PFF</a> grades show Rams CB Marcus Peters graded 106th out of 111 qualified cornerbacks this season.</p>— Mike Clay (@MikeClayNFL) <a href="https://twitter.com/MikeClayNFL/status/1049726386452291587?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">October 9, 2018</a></blockquote>
<script async src="https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script> Don't **** with Bob mother****ing Sutton ya'll. |
that's his bad ass attitude % age :D
|
1 INT, 5 TDs given up. Dude has been a trash can so far this year.
|
I mean we all saw it, guy is money for turn overs but he literally lets shit go by him
|
But guise it's Bobs fault he always makes Peters play off coverage.
|
I'm not a big PFF fan. They force me to wonder about how they integrate context into their evaluations.
Still, this seems about right. And I've only watched one Rambs game this year. FAX |
For comparison Fuller and Nelson are both ranked #43. Scandrick is #37.

I'd take him over any corner we had attitude aside

Well, bye... again
|
Good riddance. Looks like Chiefs won that trade.
|
he's also trying to play through an injury
|
Can someone give us the PFF rating game by game. He was very highly ranked after 2 games I believe. One would think his injury has really harmed him.

Good luck with Tyreek and Watkins in Mexico. God forbid he has to tackler either Kelce or Hunt.
|
A temporary setback. He'll be okay.
All he needs is to choke out a bus driver or two and he'll be himself again. FAX |
Some players just don't play as well or as fast once they put on the

everybody thinks Marcus Peters is the next Deion because he is good at getting interceptions, which is pretty much the only stat that is looked at much for CBs. I remember him getting torched a lot and giving up a lot of yards to Terrell Pryor in that one Redskins game while he was screaming **** YOU BITCH to fans in the crowd.
|
This rating seems about right from what I saw of Peters against the Vikings and Seahawks. Cousins and Wilson had plenty of success against him.
|
Yep I knew it was a matter of time and the Peters puffers would be in here using the he is playing through an injury. If your injured you dont play so obviously he nor the rams think he cant go. He is having a bad year so far. Wades scheme is much different than Suttons. Rams expect him to lock down and stay with the receiver while they run a lot of blitzes. Peters is always looking to read the QB and jump the route its not working so far.

Still posting about Peters on this board every week?
He’s living rent free in the head of 68.9% of CP members. |
He's playing hurt... you have to actually watch the games to evaluate players.
|
SO glad MP is out of KC! Thank You Andy Reid, Clark Hunt. MP had 2 go

At least, that's how it appeared to me. A bit of guessing and a bit of guessing wrong. When it works out, it can be a pick. If it doesn't, it can be 6 for the other guy. FAX |

Our defense would be better with Peters on it. Our defense needs any help it can get. |
It appears that Peters isn't very good without Sutton coaching him up.
|
Wait, their corners are playing 10 yards of? Can't be. I was told only Sutton does that.

Even fully healthy he’s a 4.53 guy. He NEEDS that cushion to match up on NFL receivers and to play his style of jumping underneath routes and playing the QBs eyes. If he was jamming WRs at the line and they beat his press, they’re gone.
I remember early in his career he played a lot more press. That caused more turnovers, but he got beat a ton for scores as well. He would also jump routes in other corners coverages for a possible score and got pump faked to death for it, repeatedly....leaving his own man wide open for scores. Dude is a game changer, but he hangs his teammates out to dry. He’s a classic ME player. I’d love to have him back because I love the big plays and with Mahomes at QB, a CB that can take the ball away is HUGE. Every turnover would probably average 5 points. Veach will find us some corners that get turnovers and play to the scheme. |

It was pretty evident last year that even WITH Marcus Peters, the defense wasn't very good. |

A good defense, no. A better defense, yes. I guess we will see how Brady does against them. The Jags sure lack a firepower offense so it made our corners looks slightly improved this past week. |

I am gonna guess the 8, 6 or 5 INT seasons he had would do nothing to improve this offense. I mean, getting this fire-powered Mahomes lead offense the ball more seems like a very bad thing.

Does the rating factor in his tackling (I can only assume it does)?
Wondering how that part of his game has been. |

BTW: Team has done fine w/o Peters. 5-0 ! |
i give him another three weeks. if he keeps getting burnt he will show his true colours :D

Apparently, you must have a PFF subscription (which I don't) in order to find out how they actually grade DBs. To me, that's stupid. If you want people to subscribe to your magnificent stat machine, it seems like you would want to explain what your magnificent stat machine actually does. Oh, well. For reasons I can barely explain, I've always wondered about PFF's ability to take "context" or "situation" into account. I know they must do that to some degree, but I lack full confidence. FAX |

Peter's as a CB is a slow mother****er with 4.5 speed |
Starting to understand why there may have been some tension between Peters and Mahomes. How many times Mahomes must have punked Peters in practice trying to jump routes.
|
if marcus was smart...
he would ask for a switch to WR #3
he can do what he wants and doesn't have the burden of tackling by default :thumb: |
Another steller game turned in by our fav CB evah.
fe Verified account @JeffRatcliffe 2h2 hours ago More The Rams used Marcus Peters in shadow coverage for the first time this season. Peters was on Davante Adams for 84% of his routes. Adams caught 4-of-6 targets for 113 yards against Peters. |
Only 1 int this season .****ing loser

Not worried about my boy Peters. Form is temporary, class is permanent.

Watkins is going unleash his superior route running on this jackass and make him look like a scrub.
Double moves up the ass. |

Rams are 8-0
I'm not worried about our offense beating their defense i'm worried about their offense beating our defense and having the last drive aka no punt game II |
I raise my gloved fist in protest of this unconscionable ranking.

edit: I really really hope Andy runs screens to Hunt all game toward Marcus Peters. Make that bitch try to tackle a freight train. |
Be nice to see Bob Sutton drop the little whiny bitch after the game.

If he follows Hill, he’s giving up 150. If he follows Watkins, he could give up 100 but probably wouldn’t because Hill and Kelce will be so open anyways. |

<script async src="https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script> Peters is now ranked #101 among all PFF graded cornerbacks. |

You know Mahomes will be xtra motivated for this game and then we will see on full display how a PS QB burnt Peters day in and day out.:D |

Thomas made him his bitch to the tune of 200 yards LMAO

I have a new name for Marcus Peters, "toast"
He makes watching the Rams so much fun. ROFL |
Peters is like that guy you play with on pubg and he gets killed and yells at you for him dying because you weren't near him after he landed miles away from you and the squad.
|
"BonifayRam, 16 minutes ago
Cut the cancer out now embrace the scare & save us the pain for the rest of the season!" "Ram77, 7 minutes ago I honestly think Peters needs to be cut. Sends a message to the other players. Also Suh has been really quiet and has not made an impact on this defense. But at least he isn’t costing this team points like Peters. I think Kayvon Webster was a much better all-around corner. Heck I would start Robey-Coleman and CB1 and Hill at CB2 until Talib gets back and release Peters in the AM" https://ramsondemand.com/threads/mar...s.56024/page-6 |

I'M OFFICIALLY DONE WITH MARCUS PETERS "The guy is just not what I though he was - it's big play after big play with this guy. And then he's on the sideline giving every excuse." "What did they see in him???" "He’s awful." "I thought he was supposed to be really good, in fact he is probably the worst CB in the NFL. Once Talib returns he should be released." "It’s that gangsta thug mentality. Nothing is ever his fault. He needs to take some responsibility for his poor play. He flat out sucks. I was wrong about him too." "Thomas made him his biotch today." "That last TD, how do you let that happen? He looked confused as the ball was snapped as Thomas shed his jam and ran by him" |
LA IS A RED PLACE MANE
|
|
I enjoyed watching Peters get torched like that. That extra 2nd round pick in the next draft is looking better and better now.
