This dude is going to be a Chief before tomorrow LMAO
I would say bring him in for a look but I'm afraid he'd infest the team with ebolraids

IT'S HAPPENING

Sign him.
Championship. |

Just had a peak at PFF, he's playing at almost the same grade for the Raiders as his overall season grade last year, his best attribute (per PFF) is his coverage...

#35 LB per your guys at Pro Football Focus.
I'd seriously take him.
Seriously. |
It's not like the Chiefs are giving any playing time to the rookies. **** it....sign him and cut Terrance Smith.

Derrick Johnson - LB - Free Agent
Raiders released LB Derrick Johnson. 35-year-old Johnson started Week 1, but the Raiders quickly realized his legs were gone. He had played more than 20 snaps in a game just once since Week 2. Johnson was an All Pro-type player for the Chiefs during his prime, but twin Achilles' tears sapped his explosion as he aged. It was always a poor plan for the Raiders to feature him this season. bring him back, can't be worse than Ragland at his old age. He was one of the best run stoppers we've had.

I have never been more serious in my life when I say that we should bring him back. This is a dream scenario.
Even if he only plays 20 snaps a game in passing situations this could be huge.
Make him the goddamn third down specialist or something. |
Sign DJ, Berry comes back. There’s a gleam, men.
his PFF rating is pretty good
I fear they might not do it. Surely at some point cutting all these guys then bringing all of them back is embarrassing?
It would be cool to have DJ back for a chance at a Superbowl!! He deserves it!
Do it. With how stupidly complicated our scheme apparently is for ILBs, hes the only chance we have at improvement.

Chiefs knew he was done. Chiefs fans knew he was done. Yet the Grudens thought he was an improvement. Well, DJ got $1.5 million for 6 weeks play and only got more than 20 snaps once. Seems like easy money for him. Now, he can sign a one day contract to retire a Chief, then join the coaching staff to teach our linebackers how to tackle.
I want this harder than I wanted Gunther riding in on a white horse in 2004.
And it will probably have the same effectiveness. But I don't care. I WANT IT. |
LETS GO!!

Just sign his brain and heart. Transplant them into one of the younger meatbuckets. Winning.
ATTACK THE GAP!
Saw him play a couple weeks ago. Idk how this is possible but he’s slower than Ragland.
Sign him and have him coach our ILB’s and play 3 snaps a game. |

Do it, bring him in today.
You know if the Chiefs sign DJ, Eric Berry is going to be like "**** this, shoot me up bitch"
Quote:
hire him as DC.
can't be any worse. put Sutton in charge of selling programs outside Arrowhead before the game. |
Yes, please.
Quote:
Knowing where the **** to line up and go gives him at least a second per play advantage over lost our current "Lost in Space" crew.
Well that has to get done.
I mean **** this ILB crew in its face. I'm serious - the guy should take the field on Sunday. |
I mean, seriously. DJ at 75% is probably better than what we're putting out there now right?
Quote:
I've read a lot of stuff about how this shouldn't happen, we want to be younger, he's got nothing left... blah, blah, blah. Anyone saying that must not realize that this team has had its worst ILB play since Reid got here so far. Super Bowl window is open, if adding DJ helps, then why TF not. I don't expect it though to be honest. |
Quote:
Derrick Johnson Reggie Ragland Dorian O'Daniel Ben Niemann. It's marginally better....but it's at least ****ing better. |
Quote:
Wonder if Niemann would give up his number.
Quote:
I'm so excited!!
or hire him as a Tackle Consultant.
Cut Ragland

I would prefer Niemann, but my guess is Reid/Sutton prefer Smith since he’s been here longer. |
We could use the leadership. Why the hell not. We stink in every phase of defense.
I'm not sure what I'm missing regarding Smith and their love for him.
Quote:
Bring him in and use him as our coverage linebacker. That will keep his older legs fresh but improve our pass defense. Maybe he can read the formation and help get people lined up in the correct place too.
I'd take him for the rest of this year. Already knows the defense. |
Quote:
They'd probably put someone like Nate Orchard on practice squad
Quote:
DJ could be a nice situational player, especially on 3rd and long. |
