How did Niemann and Sorensen look today?

Niemann has been talked up around here, so I was curious if he lived up to the hype.

Did the backend of the defense look any better with him back?

I had to miss quite a bit of the game, but I am curious as to what everyone thought.

Boomer Grigsby Jr.

Sorensen was okay.

siberian khatru 11-11-2018 07:51 PM

Niemann looked like ass

Also rough offense to judge the back end against. Cards have one WR and he's a possession guy who doesn't go deep at this stage of his career. One of the best ever but not a deep threat a all anymore.

Sassy Squatch 11-11-2018 07:53 PM

Niemann and ODaniel are like the Stanzi and Croyle of ILBs. You long for them to get into the game and when they do they absolutely blow it.

TambaBerry 11-11-2018 08:07 PM

I thought except for a couple plays Nieman played well

TrebMaxx 11-11-2018 08:11 PM

For his first game back Sorensen had some nice stops and I am glad he is back. Nieman didn't play at a top level and looked a little lost at times but was still solid playing the roll.

Reerun_KC 11-11-2018 08:14 PM

They both looked better than BDB.

Pitt Gorilla 11-11-2018 08:18 PM

I think idiot Chief Fan can now see why Niemann wasn’t in the game previously. Sutton, Reid, and just about everyone but Niemann was blamed for his lack of playing time.

He led the team with 6 solo tackles today.

Let’s stop being so negative.

modified it for you:D

Reerun_KC 11-11-2018 08:20 PM

Neiman has potential. Looked a little lost a time or two. Made some plays, over ran a few...

At least he didn’t run away from plays like a LB we witnessed.

Dartgod 11-11-2018 08:24 PM

Wasn't that Neiman that muffed the onside kick?

Who exactly is this strawman Chief Fan you keep lording yourself over lately?

Eleazar 11-11-2018 08:28 PM

Can't think of anything meaningful either of them did in either direction. Which, on this defense, might mean they are a nice upgrade.

I thought after the replay review it looked like the AZ player had tipped it right before Neiman had it. All in all it didn't matter as it didn't hurt us any. But it sure would have been nice if he nabbed it for 6 which might have happened if he was able to secure possession!

I suppose I could dig up the Niemann posts, but I thought this would be less embarrassing.

dirk digler 11-11-2018 08:34 PM

I thought they played well and the D didn’t give up any big plays which is first I think.

I mean plenty of bad defensive players rack up tackles. IDP in fantasy has shed a very bright light on that fact. Both him and DOD need to add some weight.

I didn't focus on Niemann or Sorensen a ton. Sorensen was late on his coverage out of the backfield a few times but that's a pet-peeve of mine so I tend to notice that automatically. Murray also allowed Johnson to just be handed a 3rd down conversion the same way.

Oh please, you're jabbering just for the sake of it now

King_Chief_Fan 11-11-2018 08:41 PM

Hard to say, they were facing the NFL's last place offense.

IowaHawkeyeChief 11-11-2018 08:41 PM

As a Hawk fan, Niemann is who he is right now, and undrafted free agent, who's good on special teams and had some good plays on D, but showed his vulnerability as he is undersized for the inside. He may gain some size, but he filled in OK and that's all you can expect from a back up.

Pablo 11-11-2018 08:46 PM

Niemann tried hard. And that's what counts.

Maybe someone should go back and quote some of your posts about Peters from earlier in the season. It wouldn't be pretty...

Agreed. But he is a ST's player at best. He is just too undersized for any LB position for now IMHO.

Pablo 11-11-2018 08:54 PM

At one point Niemann left his lunch pail out on the field and had to sprint back out to get it.

He gets the 25% CP bonus ROFL

Hammock Parties 11-11-2018 09:26 PM

14 pts

Run defense was much better

Niemann is HOF bound

Prison Bitch 11-11-2018 09:33 PM

I don't know, but we gave up 14 so whatever we did and whoever we played, it worked well

Demonpenz 11-11-2018 09:51 PM

sorenson can tackle.

smithandrew051 11-11-2018 09:56 PM

Niemann does all the little things. He brings his hard hat to work everyday. They call him the janitor. Nothing flashy, just cleans shit up.

Niemann seems nice. I think he's probably very sweet.

He will get better. Not flashy guy so he will learn.

He’s the first guy in and the last guy to leave everyday.

Rain Man 11-11-2018 10:32 PM

I didn't see much of Sorensen. He was out there, but nothing happened of note.

Niemann made a couple of plays. I felt the Cardinals were rushing pretty well, but what else is new. Niemann was the team's leading tackler, but he didn't blow anything up.

So overall, they were on the field and that's about all I can conclude.
