Our white on whites are kind of dull/matte.

Too many times. This team has a lot of negative energy and big game flops history. But, Mahomes is going to break all superstitions, curses etc. there will be no 20 point 2nd half leads blown in the playoffs as long as Mahomes is upright.

During the pregame show of the 2006 Thanksgiving game vs the Donkos they said that white on white was Lamar's favorite setup, and being that he died that week they got special approval from the league to wear that kit at home in his honor.

Despite that being (probably) the best game I've witnessed in person, I still get nervous and sweaty when we wear it, because we've been trash the other times we've worn it.

I read an article a few years back about a study that some university did on Olympic teams on the psychology of Jersey colors. It showed that there is a slight, but undeniable correlation between wearing dark/black and or a solid deeper color to winning vs wearing light or alternating jersey colors. Therefore, of the available kits we have, red on red is statistically the most successful.

(We need to make an all-black jersey combo)

This. I'm tired of the old superstitions. I've never seen a fan base need a championship so bad in my ****ing life. I hate them but like i said in another thread while praising the Packers white on whites, it's most likely just because I associate them with losing. We win and that will go a long way in changing my perception of them.

There is so much playoff trauma inside us all. Some, maybe a lot, of that pain is associated with the white/white uni's. Obviously a post on a forum, uni choice, who starts the game thread has no effect on the outcome of the game.

I'm in the minority to most of you old farts, but 50 years of losing is not a great tradition to me.
I'd be glad to see a uniform revamp, rid of the gold and implement black. This is a new era of NFL dominance.

Awesome! White on white is the battle road uniform you wear in tough enviornments. I know I'm in the minority but these are my favorite unis. All red socks is a cool combo for this as well.
