Rest of the season

Tough, tough loss tonight... BUT

I think this team is going to be a lot better for this experience. Mahomes is going to grow from it, the good and the bad. The defense is gaining some confidence, and they can learn from facing an offense that is so good schematically. And as they head into the bye, I fully expect them to come out of it healthy and ready to whoop Oakland’s ass. Then...

I expect that they will rip off another 4 wins en route to HFA and a division crown. And then...

I expect that they will win two more playoff games at Arrowhead before finally winning the Super Bowl in Atlanta. And yes, Eric Berry will be out there to contribute to the cause.

That’s all. Just a little shot of positivity—but I do really believe in this. Tough night now, but I think it’ll all be a distant memory when the season is in the books.

14-2

Expecting to get Morse, LDT and Berry back.

We’ll be stronger in January

carcosa 11-19-2018 11:45 PM

Yes!

FloridaMan88 11-19-2018 11:46 PM

Game at Seattle will be tougher than some may think.

mnchiefsguy 11-19-2018 11:49 PM

This team will probably have to run the table for HFA.

We need Pitt to beat NE and SD to beat Pitt (and of course we need to beat SD). If those three things don't happen, we will probably have to run the table.

If we go 13-3 or 12-4 we will be the 2 seed.

Sure. But the Chiefs should and will be favored. Just because it's the NFL I'll say 13-3 which should still get us HFA. I'll have to see a playoff win against NE or Pitt before I can make SB predictions.

Exactly. We're getting healthier and better for December on. Enjoy your Thanksgiving, we're still in the pole position in the AFC. This loss only narrows the cushion. We get out Offensive linemen, we add Berry, heal some knicked up players and make a big push for the end.

I've never felt more confident about this team as a Chiefs fan than any other past team I've witnessed. Losses suck, but we're only going to get better and stronger.

Before this season began, if anyone had said 9-2 heading into the Thanksgiving Break, I would have thought them overly optimistic. First year QB, he'll learn and he'll get stronger. Go Chiefs!

Pitt plays at NO in week 16. If we go 13-3 we're getting the one seed.

Why is it I feel most confident the guy who broke his leg will be back, out of those three?

Because he had the best chance. Morse is probably 50-50. I have no idea why people still think Berry is coming back. But, then, some people still believe in Bigfoot and the Loch Ness Monster

as long as we don't get jobbed in the game vs the chargers we should be pretty well off

It’s evident that what we didn’t do before the trade deadline is coming back to haunt us in the big games. We have holes in our defensive backfield that needed immediate attention before the trade deadline and we basically ignored them. We ignored them and decided to play for “next year” and subsequent years to come. We have a special team that can win now and we should have added the pieces to win now.

One player at the deadline isn’t fixing this D.

One addition of a DB or safety at the deadline gives us depth and the ability to play different schemes.

Never know with injuries and all, but if I had to project:

Chiefs (9-2):

12 — BYE

13 @ Oakland (W: 10-2)

14 Baltimore (W: 11-2)

15 L.A. Chargers (W: 12-2)

16 @ Seattle (W: 13-2)

17 Oakland (W: 14-2)

Steelers (7-2-1):

12 @ Denver (W: 8-2-1)

13 L.A. Chargers (W: 9-2-1)

14 @ Oakland (W: 10-2-1)

15 New England (W: 11-2-1)

16 @ New Orleans (L: 11-3-1)

17 Cincinnati (W: 12-3-1)

New England (7-3):

12 @ N.Y. Jets (W: 8-3)

13 Minnesota: (L: 8-4)

14 @ Miami (W: 9-4)

15 @ Pittsburgh (L: 9-5)

16 Buffalo (W: 10-5)

17 N.Y. Jets (W: 11-5)

L.A. Chargers (7-3):

12 Arizona (W: 8-3)

13 @ Pitsburgh (L: 8-4)

14 Cincinnati (W: 9-4)

15 @ Kansas City (L: 9-5)

16 Baltimore (W: 10-5)

17 @ Denver (W: 11-5)

Texans (7-3):

12 Tennessee (W: 8-3)

13 Cleveland (W: 9-3)

14 Indianapolis (L: 9-4)

15 @ N.Y. Jets (W: 10-4)

16 @ Philadelphia (W: 11-4)

17 Jacksonville (W: 12-4)

I don't think we lose... again... rest of this NFL Season. But, even if we do, and I project my most positive outcome for the other teams, I think we still have a game cushion by the end of the year. In fact, considering tie breakers, our strongest push may actually come from the Texans.

1. Chiefs
2. Pittsburgh
3. Texans
4. Patriots
5. Chargers
6. Colts

Good point. Need NE to lose one more then. Once they get to four losses I will feel better about 13-3...although I would prefer 14-2 since we have the shittiest ****ing luck when we go 13-3.

I just haven't been impressed with NE, especially with Gronk issues. They'll get by because they play in the AFC East, but I don't think they push us. I think the Vikings beat them.

Really? I think the Vikings are trash. I think if NE loses again(they will)it's at Pitt

I hope so. My wife is from MN, so she follows the Vikes. They have been very up and down this year. They need to get their running game on track.

If the good Vikings team shows up that night, then they can absolutely beat NE. If the Vikings team that showed up against Buffalo shows up....well, that is not good.

I am not impressed that much with NE either, but they keep winning year after year...so until they are firmly in our rear view mirror, I will not count them out.

Collins would have done better than Dan who gave up two tds.

Red Dawg 11-20-2018 12:48 AM

We have to win out to get the one. Lose another and we may get the two. Maybe.

Yeah, its kind of hit or miss with them, and if this was a healthier Gronk team, I wouldn't give the Vikings a chance. But, the weather will be cold and they have a good defense, so I give them the edge right now.

Pats are a different animal at home, which is where that game is. Vikings are basically

2 absolutely stud WR
A more liked more intelligent Jameis Winston at QB
A still not 100% RB
An absolute trash o line
A defense that is a play or two from being the Jaguars of the NFC.

This Pats team looks shaky to me. They have a habit of losing in Miami as well.

Sure-Oz 11-20-2018 12:52 AM

They have to control the penalties. Also this secondary will get burned bad if they don't have a consistent pass rush.
.they're just not good enough. Hopefully Berry can be the difference.

I know this is humor, but I think Pat's arm got a little tweaked on the the second to last interception which is why is last attempt came up so short.

Well I'm not going to say Houston couldn't beat us, but I really don't think they'd be able to block our front 4 at all and Watson would turn it over just enough to lose the game. We'd still score plenty of points.

If we get them at Arrowhead in the divisional round, awesome.
