Rest of the season
Tough, tough loss tonight... BUT
I think this team is going to be a lot better for this experience. Mahomes is going to grow from it, the good and the bad. The defense is gaining some confidence, and they can learn from facing an offense that is so good schematically. And as they head into the bye, I fully expect them to come out of it healthy and ready to whoop Oakland’s ass. Then... I expect that they will rip off another 4 wins en route to HFA and a division crown. And then... I expect that they will win two more playoff games at Arrowhead before finally winning the Super Bowl in Atlanta. And yes, Eric Berry will be out there to contribute to the cause. That’s all. Just a little shot of positivity—but I do really believe in this. Tough night now, but I think it’ll all be a distant memory when the season is in the books. |
14-2

Expecting to get Morse, LDT and Berry back.
We’ll be stronger in January |
Yes!

Game at Seattle will be tougher than some may think.
|
This team will probably have to run the table for HFA.
We need Pitt to beat NE and SD to beat Pitt (and of course we need to beat SD). If those three things don't happen, we will probably have to run the table. If we go 13-3 or 12-4 we will be the 2 seed. |

I've never felt more confident about this team as a Chiefs fan than any other past team I've witnessed. Losses suck, but we're only going to get better and stronger. Before this season began, if anyone had said 9-2 heading into the Thanksgiving Break, I would have thought them overly optimistic. First year QB, he'll learn and he'll get stronger. Go Chiefs! |

as long as we don't get jobbed in the game vs the chargers we should be pretty well off

It’s evident that what we didn’t do before the trade deadline is coming back to haunt us in the big games. We have holes in our defensive backfield that needed immediate attention before the trade deadline and we basically ignored them. We ignored them and decided to play for “next year” and subsequent years to come. We have a special team that can win now and we should have added the pieces to win now.

One addition of a DB or safety at the deadline gives us depth and the ability to play different schemes. |
The rest of the season: prepare thy anus

Jets (W: 10-4) 16 @ Philadelphia (W: 11-4) 17 Jacksonville (W: 12-4) I don't think we lose... again... rest of this NFL Season. But, even if we do, and I project my most positive outcome for the other teams, I think we still have a game cushion by the end of the year. In fact, considering tie breakers, our strongest push may actually come from the Texans. 1. Chiefs 2. Pittsburgh 3. Texans 4. Patriots 5. Chargers 6. Colts |

If the good Vikings team shows up that night, then they can absolutely beat NE. If the Vikings team that showed up against Buffalo shows up....well, that is not good. I am not impressed that much with NE either, but they keep winning year after year...so until they are firmly in our rear view mirror, I will not count them out. |

We have to win out to get the one. Lose another and we may get the two. Maybe.

They have to control the penalties. Also this secondary will get burned bad if they don't have a consistent pass rush.
.they're just not good enough. Hopefully Berry can be the difference. |

Should we be concerned with Houston at all? Not for HFA, but just in general, they look really good right now...

If we get them at Arrowhead in the divisional round, awesome. |
