Are you this naive? Outright lied? It's obvious to anyone there was video of this. I'm sure the Chiefs knew that. I'm sure the Chiefs saw that. It was a hotel with security video from multiple angles.

If it's possible the Chiefs only saw this today, they're pathetically incompetent. The fact that they immediately move to this outcome is horrifying.

Plus one other thing what if the chiefs didn't see the video till today? Especially when a lot of police investigations don't release tape of evidence for a long time.

Clark believed he had no choice under the circumstances or he wouldn't have released Hunt. Personally, I think Hunt shouldn't have lied to the Chiefs about what happened. If he hadn't, this likely would have been treated differently.

I don't mind taking the moral high ground here, but it seems strange with Tyreek Hill on the team. What Hill did was much worse. I get that Hill showed remorse, but is there any doubt that Hill would have been untouchable if a video existed?

Hills issue was before he was ever on the team and he’d reformed. Hunt’s was while he was on the team and he didn’t take responsibility for it, he lied to the team about what happened and caused this blowup to happen later. Plus there’s video. Not hard to figure out.

Kareem Hunt made a series of poor choices, chose not to walk away from the situation, put his hands on a woman, then lied about it instead of taking responsibility. This is 100% his fault. People need to quit acting like Hunt is the victim here.

I agree with Twisted Chief. Don't believe for a minute they were all taken aback at the "revelation" that KHunt put his hands on and kicked the drunk skank. I don't care if she called him the N word times infinity. You don't get into that situation. The Chiefs with their secret police had to know about the video. They only pled "Kareem Lied" after it became public and it was clear Kareem was the aggressor. Chunt, Reid and Veatch are all covering their collective asses here. The Chiefs look either A) Incompetent in their vetting of this situation since last February, or B) Only took action on the matter once forced by TMZ and the NFL.

This kind of reminds me about my run in with Haley. Since there was no "photographic or video evidence" they denied the story and Haley was off the hook. Turned out in retrospect he wasn't such a high character individual after all, even though Mark Donovan and Pioli said he was at the time. This time, TMZ had video evidence, so suddenly everyone is scrambling not to take the blame, and they put it all on KHunt. Was he stupid? Absolutely. Should he be suspended? Absolutely. Should he be kicked off the team forever? No, not when you've got Tyreek Hill on the team who probably did much worse. There's just no video evidence of him doing it.

KHunt is an idoit for getting in that situation in the first place. Where's the fall guy in his entourage? Looks like he may have alcohol/anger issues. And if he did lie to Chiefs officials about his involvement, that's all on him.

CHunt, Reid and Veatch could have at least slept on this for 24 hours before kicking KHunt off the team for good. The NFL wasn't going to let him play in another game this year, so it would have been just like the Chargers losing Gordon for the rest of the year. It would have been just like a lost for the season injury. He does community service, he apologizes to anyone and everyone, he comes to Jesus and swears off drinking, whatever; but he's back in the backfield next year. Now, he'll probably end up with the Pats, or Steelers, or Raiders, or Denver, and we'll probably get NO compensation because we outright cut him.

And now a run for the Super Bowl is in question, because there goes your running game in January for the Playoffs.
