How long has the dark mode existed?
 

I only just found it via a random comment in a random thread. WTF. This is yuge!

Most Vbulletin forums have a variety of skins or themes you can use, I imagine that it is up to the individual Administrator on what to include...

I think it looks less professional.

Icons definitely have some sloppy pixels on the edges that are EXPOSED in night mode

BTW, if you are a chatter, it will be dark as well. Including the background, making black fonts nearly invisible.

I had it on dark mode a couple years ago, then it somehow got turned off and I just got back on it today... one thing that really sticks out, is that I'm now seeing curse words and not just mother****er etc

I had to change back. I admit it. I've been light skinned for far too long. Being dark skinned was hard to get use to.

But yes, the dark skin creates substantially more contrast.

Agree that the text should be lighter, but no on the darker background.

The text needs to be white instead of silver. That's all i would change.

Wow. Cannot believe it's been around 4-5 years. I guess I was just so used to CP being what it was, and not realizing there's even a chance skins have been added. Whereas with any other site (Twitter, Twitch etc.) - the first thing I do is go to night/dark mode.

After using it for a bit, it's definitely not clean, and is pretty much just worse ... except that it's dark, which makes it better.

WOW never knew about this before but it is awesome. It makes the Chiefs colors pop a lot more. It is also easier on the eyes. I am definitely going to be trying this for a bit to make sure.

Pro tip: If you read on a Kindle or the app, you can change it to look like this - white test on a black background. It is much easier on the eyes, especially reading at night.

I ran over a squirrel on the way to work the other day, and switched to dark mode as penance.

Tried it a few times including today after being reminded it exists. Not for me.

At the Raiders game quite a few Chiefs fans were wearing jerseys of this color, those special black ones with red letters. I guess to cut down the percentage of batteries thrown at them.

Probably why I spend ZERO time on that site. FB is so ****ing generic looking. Myspace was a better setup IMO.

Anyway, I've been using CP darkmode for about 6 months now and I love it. I've also switched to Opera browser which is fast as **** and has all of the cool things I liked about Firefox. There are several good dark mode skins for YouTube via Opera which DO NOT switch back and forth from white to dark on a whim like Firefox was doing.

Yep. That's why I don't use the other skins. They're unfiltered. I really don't care to see all of the foul language that is posted here. So, I just stick with the forum default and keep the filters. Too bad. Because the filters sound like a good idea.

You can add your own filters (in any style) in your UserCP.

I prefer reading ChiefsPlanet in the cHargers color scheme so RoyalsPlanet works for me quite nicely.

I'm too used to this as well. In general I would much prefer dark mode but I'm not sure it feels like CP.

I took the white up a couple notches. It's still not quite pure white, but it's close. See what you guys think.

We also have an offer from someone who actually does this for a living to try and clean up some of the icons. No promises, but it's possible we might get this cleaned up soonish.
