Well Remember this feeling
Cause this is how the playoffs will be.
|
I really though this year was different. Truly believed it.
This game proves it’s the same as it always has been and probably always will be. As demoralizing as possible. Because Chiefs. |
**** off
|
lol instant karma
|
this and the rams and the pats game this year, all felt like playoff games outcomes.. especially rams.
|
Lost by 1 point to the team with the second best record in the AFC on a night where they were down to their 3rd string running back, Sammy Watkins was out, and Tyreek was playing injured. It happens.
There are a bunch of soft ass bitches on this board and this place was better when ChiefsandOsdouche was on sabbatical. |
This game hurt worse that the Pats and Rams. Because for the first time, both sides of the ball looked like shit and the offense looked really weak and undependable. I'll write it off to this:
only 4 days rest Rivers and the Chargers needed this game worse than we did It's the NFL...sometimes you lose. We're in the playoffs. But...I hear ya. It'll be nice to have 10 days off, they need the rest. |
Yeah, we've won every game except the three games against teams that the NFL pushes for marketing reasons. Interesting pattern.

Pathetic. |
He's right, you know.
Baltimore unlocked the blueprint. Run the ball, run some more. We can't stop it, and it keeps Mahomes off the field. Let's be honest - the only reason the Chargers didn't run away with that game is that Rivers made some terrible decisions. Can't stop the run, and unless Chris Jones gets to the QB, they can't stop the pass either. I've said that this defense will keep the team from winning a Lombardi this year, but they aren't even going to win a playoff game unless they do some serious soul searching on defense ASAP. |
Yep

2003 all over again.

First thing they need to do is fire Sutton and hope that sparks them especially with 10 days rest. |
Really, our results against playoff teams this year haven’t been good. We are setting up for a one and done.

Thanks for getting the annual postseason misery out of the way early this year, Chiefs. Now I know what to expect come January.
|
If it looks like a shitty defense, feels like a shitty defense, and plays like a shitty defense, then it probably is a shitty defense.
Mahomes or not, the Chiefs aren't going far. Not with Sutton still here. |

Yes this year has the makings of being one and done. I feel that this offense might actually play better on the road in the playoffs. The defense is consistently bad home or away.
|
Remember this feeling? How can I forget it? It's the same one that tends to roll through this time of year, it's just come a few weeks early.

As long as ****face dickhead is in charge of the defense, this will always be the result. Doesn't matter who we have on offense, they can't always bail out this biggest bunch of choke artist pussies we lay out there on the other side.

I haven't felt that kicked in the balls feeling for 5 years now but still remember those days when I bled red and gold and thought the NFL was all on the up and up.
Maybe someday those of you feeling like shit will open your eyes as well and just watch for what it is...entertainment.The NFL is shady as hell. |

I, and everyone here, don't need to be reminded how much a playoff loss hurts.
We've had lots of practice. |

The shit in this thread is sad... I hate to say it, but on that last drive Rivers made 2 amazing throws that most QB's can't make, the one on 4 and 8 was sick with great coverage.
We will be fine. We looked like a different defense with Berry out there in the first quarter and a half with Allen still in the game for the Chargers. There were plenty of plays that Hill would have taken much farther if he was healthy. Not having Hill at 100% effected the whole offense tonight, they didn't need to respect his speed. The last offensive drive we took a chance throwing it twice, which was good to see. I would have liked to see a screen on first down as they were blitzing as anticipated. The Harris false start also hurt. Wierd, that I'm not that upset. We still control our own destiny and have 10 days rest to get healthy before we go to Seattle. That will now be a big game and give us the opportunity to prove ourselves. |

Most corrupt bullshit I have ever seen- **** the NFL- how can anyone think this shit is not rigged!??

Remember it? I never forgot it. It's been with me since the 90s.

The only thing shady is the Chiefs awful defense. You guys and your NFL conspiracy theories. The refs are out to get us bullshit. Give it a rest. It wasn't the back judge that blew the coverage on that two point conversion. This defense has to get better in a hurry. Like in a week.

remember this feeling? I never forgot.

Chiefs are now frauds until they win a playoff game. Real talk. expect it for the next month.

Everyone knows we have to prove it in January, regardless if we went 16-0 fans and rivals would say we would go one and done. This loss changes nothing in that area |
I feel somewhat vindicated - I feel sort of relieved. I actually was listening to my friend about how I was wrong about our D. Numbers lie he said - well they don’t. Truth sucks and it smacked us in the face tonight. Our D is going to hold us back this year and until we fire Sutton and get an actual person who didn’t die years ago in here and revamp this D we are bound to repeat our failures from years past - oh I don’t know let’s say the Colts playoff game, the Steelers playoff game where we gave up 6 scoring drives and oh yeah last year where we had an 18 point lead at half.
|
I am excited to feel sadness and perhaps cry in january over my football team again
i have not done that in a long time a long time |
This team is so ****ing cursed that not even a once in a generation level QB can save it. Unbelievable.

Chiefs fans should know this (who remembers 1997?) |

And yes I know their in LA now, but they’ll always be San Diego to me! |
They put up the graphic of the losses by the Chiefs just before the end of the game. I can't really think of another fan base that has endured the same level of grief that the Chiefs fan base has gone through. That said, it still felt like someone kicked me in the nuts.
The lack of situational awareness of the defense is startling; the DBs rarely turn their heads for the ball, the DPI at the end of the game on a pass that would have taken the WR out of the back of the end zone was just dumb. The overall lack of speed on the defense is also evident. |
Quote:
I sort of felt that way also....but I also knew that the playoffs can't be won without a stiff Defense.......once again. Doesn't matter how good Mahomes is - there comes a point when the Offense simply can NOT keep outscoring their opponents. And, as we saw last night - that time is upon us. |

Good ****ing God people. SUNDAY we had a brutal battle with the number one rated defense and won then played four days later to a team we beat first game of the season.
****ing quit being a bunch of pansy. Our offensive line has been depleted but they can be healthy enough for the playoffs. ****ing first year as a starter Patrick Mahomes II is only going get better. He deserves to be able make mistakes and have a rough game. He is young quit putting so much pressure on him. |

The final drive was the fault of a stupid block in the back penalty, a stupid playcall on first down, and Harris jumping offsides like a stupid piece of shit. Mahomes can't be expected to convert 3rd and long every ****ing drive, especially when the OLine is getting their shit pushed in. |
I don’t need to remember this feeling because this feeling comes around every single year for as long as I’ve been alive.

It’s such a Chiefs thing. And how these buffoons aren’t held accountable is comical. Players, coaches can’t say a word. |
Remember it?!? It's like chronic back pain that never goes away.

We are also 3-3 against current (if season ended today) playoff teams. Baltimore, Pitt, SD (Wins). Yeah, let's just focus on the losses. ROFL |

This is why we can’t have nice things.
To quote #RPatrickAllen from Twitter “The Chargers erased a 14-point deficit in the final 5 minutes to stun the Chiefs, 29-28. Entering Thursday, teams were 0-88 this season when trailing by 14+ points in the final 5 min of regulation. Philip Rivers was 0-20 in his career in those situations.” The sad part is every year, the fans support the team. Have every year, packed house. Season tickets are bought like kids in a candy store. Hunt knows that no matter what, we will buy tickets. So why should he spend more money for a even decent DC, or better players, when he knows tickets will sale? The Chargers are Feeling Left Out in LA People just don’t seem to care about the LA Chargers. The Chargers have moved from San Diego to LA in 2017 and until the new LA stadium is completed, the team is taking temporary residence at StubHub Center in Carson. StubHub Center is a 27,000 seat stadium built more for soccer than American football. Given it’s not a 60,000 seat football stadium, you would think there would be 27,000 Chargers fans in the city but whether it’s the location, the cost, the mediocrity or a combination, you’re more likely to see fans of the other team showing up to games. Just like Chiefs fans showing up in droves in Week 1. If not for away fans taking in the game, the Galaxy might outdraw the Chargers. And if you think this is just an attendance problem, you would be mistaken. Pro Football Talk reports that viewership have been drastically down over the years. This past Sunday, the Chiefs-Chargers game (5.5) had a lower rating than the Cowboys-Panthers game (7.6) shown at the same time in LA. In San Diego, where fans don’t have a team anymore, ratings for Chargers games have taken the kind of dive that would make for a great roller coaster ride. PFT said that in 2010, ratings in San Diego for the Chargers sat at an average of 31.6. In 2016, their final season in San Diego, ratings dropped but held strong at 24.4 considering local fans knew they would be losing their team. Now that they’re in LA, ratings have gone down to 14.2 in 2017 and 11.7 in Week 1, retaining just below half the audience compared to two years ago. It’s almost like the Chargers shouldn’t have left San Diego but it’s a little too late for that. Now that they’re in LA, the Chargers enter a struggle to remain relevant in a city that not only has the Rams but has USC football as well as the Lakers and Dodgers that LA residents seem to care more about. This isn’t a good situation for the Chargers. |
