**** OFFICIAL Chiefs vs Colts prediction thread ****

I'm going to get a poll going.

One moment please.

ptlyon 01-06-2019 07:49 PM

One team will win

notorious 01-06-2019 07:50 PM

Chiefs 35 Colts 24.

Pablo 01-06-2019 07:50 PM

Chiefs 41-34.

New World Order 01-06-2019 07:52 PM

hooo boy

New World Order 01-06-2019 07:52 PM

Chiefs 38-31

Hoover 01-06-2019 07:53 PM

Chiefs will win the coin toss, and choose to defer.
Colts will go three in out to start the game.
Hill returns put for 30 yard return.
Mahomes hits Kelce for first TD.
Touchback on kickoff.
After a Chris Jones sack on first down, Dee Ford strip sacks Luck on third and long, ball received by Anthony Hitchens.
Mahomes hits Hill for second TD

Chiefs4TheWin 01-06-2019 07:54 PM

Refuse to trust this defense. Colts by 3.

Frazod 01-06-2019 07:55 PM

"I don't even want to ****ing think about it" should be an option. Especially after the Bears game drudged up all my Kicker Who Shall Remain Nameless memories.

TLO 01-06-2019 07:56 PM

Patrick Mahomes has a magnificent day, making several key throws to Kelce, Hill, and a returning Watkins. He finishes the game 34/48 with 457 yards and 4 TD's.

The Chiefs defense finds a way to shut down the Colts rushing attack (to a degree), but the Chiefs pass rush struggles to get to the QB - leaving the secondary exposed. Luck goes over 400 yards with 4 TD's, but throws an INT late that helps seal the game for the Chiefs.

Chiefs win

Chiefs 34
Colts 31

ClarkGriswold 01-06-2019 07:56 PM

I'll pray for the best like every week.

Chiefs 38 Colts 24

THIS... Is how we need the game to start.

Then we need to finish.

Understandable - but we have Mahomes. We'll be fine.

WE HAVE MAHOMES MOTHER****ERS!!!!!!!!!

Munson 01-06-2019 07:59 PM

Chiefs 48
Colts 20

Reerun_KC 01-06-2019 07:59 PM

Can’t vote chiefs for three major reasons.

Arrowhead

Fat Andy

Buttons.

The curse of Marty lives on.

RunKC 01-06-2019 07:59 PM

Colts 41
Chiefs 38

Gonna get a lot of hate for this, but I can’t in good conscious pick them to win a playoff game over a real QB until I see it with my own eyes, especially the ****ing Colts.

Please please please prove me wrong.

Did Hoover have a stroke and hit submit reply just before hitting his desk or did his wife find out he was on the internet?

I'm trying to be realistic. Though I'd say I'm also feeling optimistic as well.

TLO 01-06-2019 08:02 PM

The vegas money seems to be coming in on our Chiefs right now. Not sure if that's a good thing or not..

Shoes 01-06-2019 08:07 PM

Chiefs by a million

comochiefsfan 01-06-2019 08:08 PM

Phatdick Mahomes is gonna go in dry on the Colts.

I expect pain and lots of it for high school science teacher Frank Reich.

Chiefs by 3 touchdowns.

synthesis2 01-06-2019 08:11 PM

Just been disappointed too many times by these guys, love me some Mahomes but just matchup wise I don't see it. 45-42 Colts ( hope I'm dead wrong)

Baby Lee 01-06-2019 08:12 PM

I can't stop conjuring at least something similar in nature, hopefully not outcome, to prior nailbiters that ended in disappointment.

That's not to say we don't win, but to say that the Colts fit the mold of a team that will push us to the edge late in the game.

Their defense is solid, but unspectacular. Reid can gameplan some shock and awe to start things off, and if Pat doesn't have jitters, we're gonna have early success.

But at some point, even though we all know it's the worst thing we could do, Reid is going to start thinking 'OK, we got this. Now to get this game over.' And he starts making hamfisted attempts to bleed the clock instead of putting the pedal down.

And the Colts' 3 BIG strengths are Luck, TY and OL. That is at LEAST as capable a situation as the Chargers posed.

Win or lose, I would not be surprised to see us give up 24-28 points in the 4th quarter.

Rain Man 01-06-2019 08:13 PM

Chiefs 45-17. The Colts have no answer to our passing game, and our pass rush speed will overwhelm their offensive line.

Hammock Parties 01-06-2019 08:26 PM

**** off you bedwetting pussies.

This is the beginning of our dynasty.

Hoopsdoc 01-06-2019 08:42 PM

I say 45-31 Chiefs.

Colts aren’t quite there yet and Mahomes is just to good.

Plus, our defensive coordinator is interviewing for other jobs, which can’t help.

As long as it doesn't do something crazy like 2014,Colts were -1 all week and in the five hours leading up to kick-off it went....

Colts -1
1-1
Chiefs -1
Chiefs-2
Chiefs-3

and then closed at Chiefs-2

I couldn't believe my eyes there was crazy money pouring in on KC and then Colts win by 1

I won't go into further details(as those belong in the "influenced thread) but in all my years of gambling I'd never seen a Vegas line go that crazy and then the game play out like it did.

jimidollar 01-06-2019 08:55 PM

35-31 Chiefs

I'm close to this, although I don't think we are gonna see a score in the 40's for both teams. IF the Chiefs can pull this one out, it will go a long way towards exorcising those demons. A win here would put me on the Chiefs train again

CasselGotPeedOn 01-06-2019 09:16 PM

35-27 Chiefs

raidersnumber1 01-06-2019 09:31 PM

I have the Colts pulling away in the 4th and winning 34-23.

mr. tegu 01-06-2019 10:40 PM

I just don’t see the Colts offense being consistent enough to keep up in this game. Chiefs win 38-27. I believe in the universe working in mysterious ways and there is no better way to end our home playoff win drought than to do it against the Colts.

Please please please prove me wrong.

I want to believe Mahomes can break the home playoff losing streak and the losing to the Colts in the playoffs streak.

I do know that he is capable of beating any team, and he is capable of scoring on any defense.

But, my real concern about the outcome of this game is actually Andy Reid and Bob Sutton. I feel like at some point in the game Reid will mismanage the clock, a timeout situation, or suddenly lose oxygen to his brain when calling plays at the goal line

And probably at many times during the game, Sutton will not have his defense in the correct formation or concepts, will have cornerbacks giving 10 yard cushions on 3rd and 3, will have Speaks or Ragland or Houston one on one with Ebron 20 yards down field, or just leave a WR uncovered during a critical 2-point conversion.

I WANT to believe we can win the game, and I absolutely HOPE we win the game, but I have been confident too many times, only to be sadly disappointed.

And I hate that Reid and Sutton make so many questionable decisions that I can't sit back and enjoy Mahomes winning this game like I, and all long time suffering fans deserve.

That's about where I'm at...but the moment Luck throws a TD pass to himself, I'm turning it off like I did with Mariotta.

I've literally never seen the end of the Titans game...I said to my friend "I've seen these once in a lifetime type plays before..and it doesn't end well" then went downstairs.

So as long as there isn't any divine intervention miracles that screw the Chiefs...they should win.

Seriously...what are the odds that two freak plays in different play-off games literally decide the outcome in a 4 year period?

el borracho 01-07-2019 12:16 AM

Chiefs- 52
Colts- 27

Clay makes an Exorcist video with Andrew Luck yelling, “**** me, priest!” Mahomes yells back, “ by the power of Christ, I compel you!” 7 times- once for every touchdown.

Inspector 01-07-2019 12:23 AM

Defense looked good last game but the Colts aren't the raiders.

But we have, for the first time in our history, a Mahomes.

The D will be fired up beyond any past performance and that along with our record setting O will establish our dynastic dominance in the NFL for decades to come.

Colts fans cry real tears after being so sure history repeats itself.

Good guys win by at least 17 points.

(Ah, that felt good)

Imon Yourside 01-07-2019 12:32 AM

Colts sideline calls the po po on Mahomes for beating a dead horse. Chiefs 100 horsies 0

We are going to roll - 41-24 Chiefs.

I have no idea why all the talking heads are picking the Colts.

Fact: The Chiefs have the #1 home field defense out of any team that made the playoffs when looking at points per play and yards per play.

Fact: The Colts started 1-5 and haven't played a Top 10 offense since.

Fact: The Chiefs have Patrick ****ing Mahomes - not Alex Smith.

Fact: Andrew Luck throws more garbage time touchdowns than any NFL quarterback.

Fact: They lost ZERO to six to JACKSONVILLE on December 2nd - not that long ago.

Fact: Their best road win was ONLY to Houston.

It's going to be mid-40's on Saturday. The only thing I'm worried about is cold weather, snow etc that will neutralize our passing offense. With that said - Andrew Luck apparently sucks when he has to play outside compared to in the dome. Andrew Luck is the most overrated quarterback in the league. He WILL make mistakes. We have an opportunistic defense. The Colts play way too much zone. Mahomes picks apart zone because of his arm strength, arm angles, and ability to move to create angles to put the ball into the soft spots in the zone.

We are going to roll these assholes. Hammer this line - even up to -7.

MMXcalibur 01-07-2019 12:51 AM

Chiefs 45, Colts 44

Molitoth 01-07-2019 11:49 AM

Mahomes will get his, but Luck will get his even moreso going against the worst defense in the NFL.

Sorry to say, this is going to be another heartbreaker.

And then we will be flying banners to remove Sutton and all will be good with the world.
