Who's making the drive for the game tomorrow?
Some buddies and I have spontaneously bought 4 tickets for section 310 due to the prices being more affordable for us college students (the weather does have its perks)... We are making the trip down from Cedar Falls, IA and I'm a little bit curious if anyone else on here is making a 4-5 hour trip to the game. If so what time ya'll departing and where from? I am nervous about the drive down due to the weather KC is and will be experiencing but this will be my 2nd trip like this as I was in attendance for the Chiefs/Steelers divisional game when there was worry about ice and road conditions. So just curious who else in braving the drive down (or up)!!
|
i for one won't be making the drive :cuss: :D
|
I've always wanted to visit Cedar Falls, they have what appears to be a pretty nice bike trail system.

Edit: I was always curious if the KC area and surrounding areas overreact with snow storms due to the fact they probably don't accumulate much snow compared to up here. Reading some of the KC area reports or warnings make it sound pretty serious. |
Be safe man
|
A warning: the roads are very very nasty right now. I'm sure they will be better by morning but I'm guessing there will be some degree of freezing overnight.
Be careful. |

gonna drive 2 hours but not going to take my normal route since it goes up a twisty county highway, going to go farther down 50 and come north closer to KC
|
based on the amount of snow coming down right now I bet a few people will be making a 4-5 hour drive in tomorrow
|
Also, Simplicity, do be careful. Not sure how far north the storm is going but some of my worst drives have been during the winter on Highway 20.

Not so much looking at barns but I'm sure we saw a few. Mostly hitting up bike trails and chasing down Freedom Rocks, and whatever we found in between. https://scontent-ort2-2.xx.fbcdn.net...d4&oe=5CC335CB |

Le Mars, did you hit up Bob's for hot dogs? Not sure what a freedom rock is, but if it is in memoriam, check out brunsville sometime. On memorial day if possible. Edit - didn't really need to see your crotch |

Oh, and we had ice cream at the Blue Bunny museum in LeMars. Didn't have lunch until we got to Cherokee.
I'm bored so regale me with your barn story. |
OK, yes I do know what they are. Yes, that's cool and cool you guys did it! :thumb:
Not really much of a story, but a gal we knew in Wynot, NE made a calendar of pictures of barns around the northeast Nebraska area. Extremely cool. Pictures were outstanding. Unfortunately she passed away like a year later. She was young too. If you ever make it up this way again, drop a line! |
Ughh - I hate hearing it's that bad.

Northeast Nebraska is a beautiful area. About as hometown as hometown you can get. Made some GREAT friends over there through the years. |
On a serious note, best wishes to everyone in their travels tomorrow. Stay safe so you can raise some hell tomorrow... Go Chiefs!

I’m sure it got a bad rap when Deere employed thousands of industrial type jobs. Now it’s all robots, software dorks and engineers. |

My Dad's first love was farming even though he made his living differently. The farmer that leases our ground takes advantage of it, pretty smart. All the dealers bust their butts to get his business, no matter the color because they know he is not tied to one color. |

Be safe everyone.

I'm in mid mo and had the camaro out this morning playing.
It's not that bad out here. But we only got like 6 inches |
looks like roads are wet around KC.
MoDot definition of covered is different that MNdot's |

Thought I’d check in! Just made it back to my bed here in Cedar Falls safely (and soundly if you care). I-35 was for the most part manageable on the way down and only really encountered troubles just getting into MO.... It was gross. Got stuck in traffic in KC due to a stuck semi but made it to our seats just in time for the introductions and man it was good to be there tonight! By far the most fun I’ve had at Arrowhead to date and it was a blast to share these memories with my friends and the rest of ya’ll that were packed in that stadium tonight! Most of you will be glad to hear we did not partake in any snowball throwing but we did however have a few good laughs of people getting domed on the Colts sideline and immediately turn around and point up like they thought they could pick out the individual who threw it.
