***Official Rams at Saints NFC Championship Game Thread***

Since this game kicks off before KC, I figured we could get a little discussion drummed up for it. To the tale of the tape:

http://images.performgroup.com/di/li...960&quality=70

KICKOFF: 2:05pm CT

TV: FOX, Joe Buck and Troy Aikman on the call

INJURY REPORT: https://www.turfshowtimes.com/2019/1...-injury-report

LAST MEETING: Week 9--November 4th, 2018 from New Orleans: Saints 45, Rams 35

Lay out your picks and general discussion below

RollChiefsRoll 01-19-2019 09:18 PM

Saints by 10.

Naptown Chief 01-19-2019 09:19 PM

There's another game this weekend? Who'd-a-thunk

Double that.

pugsnotdrugs19 01-19-2019 09:22 PM

The injury report scares me a little for NO. If they aren’t able to slow down the Gurley/Anderson combo, the Rams will win.

FlaChief58 01-19-2019 09:30 PM

Saints win and Pat takes the pedo and brees to the glue factory

Pablo 01-19-2019 09:33 PM

Rams 35-31.

Should be a fun one.

In58men 01-19-2019 09:37 PM

Saints- 24

Rams- 17

I thinking lower scoring than what most think.

big nasty kcnut 01-19-2019 09:37 PM

Oh crap there another game? Damn it. No one told me.

St. Patty's Fire 01-19-2019 10:03 PM

I hate both these teams, but I’m taking the Rams.

pugsnotdrugs19 01-20-2019 12:06 AM

I think KC can beat either team for sure. They could also lose to either, but I feel much better about the potential of the matchups tonight than I did even a couple weeks ago.

A Salt Weapon 01-20-2019 12:25 AM

AussieChiefsFan 01-20-2019 12:28 AM

I think deep down every neutral fan wants KC v LAR again

Hammock Parties 01-20-2019 12:29 AM

Give me the Saints.

Sean Payton is a Parcells-tree douche who needs to be humbled, and I want that aging baldhead struck down by the true, gloriously maned MVP.

ALL SHALL LOVE MAHOMES AND DESPAIR

As does the NFL.

InChiefsHeaven 01-20-2019 07:52 AM

Saints are more of an unknown for us, but if Mahomes doesn't give the ball away 5 times (which he will NOT do again) we beat the Rams big last time. I'd like to see the Rams again, I think we'd pound them pretty good the 2nd time around.

My brother is a Saints fan, and I don't hate them or Brees as much as some here. I'd rather they choke today than have to face them in the SB. I just feel like Brees is a much better QB than Goff, and it would be a tougher game for us.

But...we need to win today and then we'll kill whoever we face...

Rasputin 01-20-2019 07:56 AM

Marcus Peters breakdown in 3 2 1....

Munson 01-20-2019 07:56 AM

I want the Saints to win, just so the Chiefs can be the team to put the old QB royalty out to pasture.

Rasputin 01-20-2019 07:57 AM

I think the Rams are the better team but Peters is a wild card he can **** the Rams all by himself or hit a home run.

Nzoner 01-20-2019 08:24 AM

I'd be happy with a Saints victory as long as KC does their part as I'm in Louisiana all next week and wouldn't mind a little trash talking.

Rams scare me more.

Coochie liquor 01-20-2019 08:34 AM

Pulling for the Lambs. Don’t wanna face NO in a dome where their offense plays the majority of games. Facing NO in the SB would likely favor the Saints. But in all actuality I don’t care that much. Just beat the Pats and we’ll deal with the rest in 2 weeks!

Sassy Squatch 01-20-2019 08:36 AM

Michael Thomas will be looking for the #22 to destroy.

Guessing they keep Peters far far away from him

Matrix 01-20-2019 08:45 AM

Go Saints

**** em' up

RaidersOftheCellar 01-20-2019 08:50 AM

Not sure why everybody’s favoring NO. Their offense has looked pedestrian for awhile now.

Plus I won’t be surprised if calls go the Rams’ way. A Rams-Chiefs rematch would be a ratings extravaganza.

Baby Lee 01-20-2019 08:51 AM

Man, that Gleason segment, tho.

I'm not cryin, . . . YOU'RE cryin. . . . :deevee:

This one likely will also have a lot of firepower. Should be a good appetizer before the Chiefs.

Who you got?

Garcia Bronco 01-20-2019 11:06 AM

Nfc football sucks.

pugsnotdrugs19 01-20-2019 11:07 AM

Agreed. I didn't see it on the first page, but that's on me for not checking the 2nd page.

Bowser 01-20-2019 11:45 AM

If you were really riding the "redemption tour" for the Chiefs, you'd want the Rams to win so we could beat them and avenge the 100 point game. But I think the Saints are going to take this, especially in their house.

Rudy tossed tigger's salad 01-20-2019 11:48 AM

Probably should root for the Saints, but gonna root for the Rams anyway

Brees is a joke whenever he's asked to throw the ball over 20 yards.

God of Thunder 01-20-2019 11:50 AM

I want the Saints. I'd rather have 'Pissy Peters' miss out.

ShowtimeSBMVP 01-20-2019 11:52 AM

Rams 31 Saints 17

displacedinMN 01-20-2019 11:52 AM

I will be here at game time.

Yep. I get they are in the Dome but Rankins being out is HUGE and Talib is back which will take pressure off of inept Peters. I think McVey does what he did last week to the Boys. Pound, pound, pound, pound the rock!!

I'm taking the Rams in this one and will emotionally and mentally prepare for a Chiefs/Rams SB !!!

I've got a Saints fan picking me up and driving me to town at 1 to watch with a bunch of other Saints fans, then I have to walk about 4 blocks to the bar I was in last Saturday when we killed the playoff monkey. I put a decal with my name on it on the bartop Friday night in the spot I was sitting/standing. We've got clear skies and I'm looking forward to a victory photo with the Super Blood Wolf Moon between my extended arms!

Weak sauce.

pugsnotdrugs19 01-20-2019 12:58 PM

I have zero ****ing idea who wins this game.

Hoover 01-20-2019 01:01 PM

I want Chiefs/Saints Super Bowl. Mahomes beats Brady then Brees. Epic. PRINT MONEY

Iconic 01-20-2019 01:04 PM

Definitely gonna watch. Want to know who we are facing in two weeks (;

Chief Roundup 01-20-2019 01:08 PM

Kind of feel bad for the St. Louis football fans, Cardinals and Rams. Lost a team in the Cardinals to Arizona to only have them go to the SB. Now the Rams leave, at least they won a SB in St. Louis, but they are playing in the NFCCG and possibly the SB for LA.

I love it. **** St. Louis forever and ever.

I want to see the Rams again. I'm sure this will be a very fun game either way.

I’m from St Louis, and I still say **** them. They had a team for a short period of time and got to feel a SB win in their short existence. Maybe I’ll have more remorse for them if we win this year. But if not, **** them lol.

MAHOMO 4 LIFE! 01-20-2019 01:21 PM

Wow! Watching this Drew Brees clip makes me like him even more. Sent memorable footballs to every single lineman that has blocked for him and every single receiver who has caught a pass from him. Included doctors and coaches as well

Why Not? 01-20-2019 01:23 PM

The Rams won a SB years before the Cardinals made an appearance. I’d be shocked if there were many people remaining in St Louis who gave a shit one way or another about the Cardinals by the time they appeared in the SB

Easy 6 01-20-2019 01:27 PM

I've got the Saints, no chance Goff out duels Brees in that dome

Yeah I tend to agree. Plus factor in all that crazy loud noise from the Saints fans and I think Brees will have a pretty big day.

Can't stand Brees and Payton.
Brees hated on former players during the pension discussions. No respect for the past.
Screw Bountygate.
The NFL gave them a SB because of Katrina.

Go Rams.

Pointer19 01-20-2019 01:54 PM

I'd like to get payback on the Rams, but I'd also like to hold Brees to 150 yards in the big dance and make a mockery of all the pundits.

Rain Man 01-20-2019 02:01 PM

The opening act is about to start. I got to the TV just in time.

Wow, that's a pretty plain-jane national anthem. I've got nothing against Jimmy Buffet, but give him a guitar or something.
