**** you, Dee Ford

Sack of ****ing shit.

Coach 01-20-2019 09:18 PM

I have no interest in tagging him.

Let him walk.

Wallcrawler 01-20-2019 09:19 PM

Unbelievably stupid mistake. Game ending int called back because you can't ****ing line up correctly.

MTG#10 01-20-2019 09:20 PM

Crazy how one player cost us a trip to the Superbowl. The game was over. I don't ever want to see him in a Chiefs uniform again.

RUSH 01-20-2019 09:22 PM

Stupid ass play and Speaks had to come in cause he was getting ****in abused in the run game. No pressures all night. I never want to see his sorry ass ever again playing for this team.

Literally cost us the game. My god. How can that happen.

Munson 01-20-2019 09:30 PM

Makes me sick to think we're staying home when we should be headed to the SB.

Ron Swanson 01-20-2019 09:31 PM

Cost us a super bowl over something you learn the first day of youth football.

Coach 01-20-2019 09:34 PM

Not just because he was offsides, he also failed to set the edge on that last play in regulation before KC tied it.

Meatloaf 01-20-2019 09:34 PM

There were tons of plays that cost us, but CLEARLY, Ford's stupid offsides cost us a trip to the Super Bowl. Thanks Dee.

smithandrew051 01-20-2019 09:35 PM

I’m more upset with him being a ghost all night than I am with the penalty. If he’s generating zero pressure, then what good is he?

potatohead 01-20-2019 09:37 PM

there's always a penalty that ends up saving the pats.....remember the tuck rule that stole the game from the raiders, that was the start of it all.

Scorpion05 01-20-2019 09:37 PM

He made a mistake but come on, really? It's just a game at the end of the day, players make mistakes. Would you be throwing a fit if Mahomes threw an interception? Or missed a wide open throw? Your defense was exhausted because the offense couldn't do anything for over 30 mins. Get a grip

He probably figured he'd get some leeway since the refs were confused about the rules and twice had to tell us the clock was correct.

Chiefs4TheWin 01-20-2019 09:38 PM

He is the epitome of because we are the Chiefs. Costed us the super bowl. I'm not a fan.

WhiteWhale 01-20-2019 09:39 PM

When Sorenson caught that pass, I thought KC was going to the superbowl. For a brief moment... and Ford took that away.

He's dead to me. Go play for the Raiders.

Papi 01-20-2019 09:40 PM

Easy to blame him but if we had actually burned the clock on our drive prior, like anyone with a basic knowledge of football would, then we're never in that position. We burned a minute with 3:20 something to start our drive. STUPID

petegz28 01-20-2019 09:41 PM

Reid calling bullshit in the call but....

Hoover 01-20-2019 09:41 PM

I’m sorry but It’s hard to pressure Brady when the ball comes out so quick and we have to play personnel to stop the run. You want to butch about someone try Ragland he can’t tackle shit.

KCCHIEFS27 01-20-2019 09:42 PM

Pats lineman was lined up in the backfield on that play. So, it should have been offsetting penalties and a replay of the down. Either way, same predicament. Dude should have been onsides. Even Romo mentioned he thought the penalty was on Patriots for illegal formation. Like a previous poster said, more upset at the fact he was a ghost all night long.

Lprechaun 01-20-2019 09:43 PM

The phantom roughing the passer cost us.... Ford never should have had to be there

Mecca 01-20-2019 09:43 PM

It was a really awful call considering they didn't call that all game.

This game was just a giant pile, they let a ton of stuff go then magically it was a flag fest.

rockymountainchief 01-20-2019 09:46 PM

That play should have been illegal formation. Their LT was two yards off the line.

The quick passes were my great fear about this game and it materialized. The DBs neede to be physical and aggressive at the line of scrimmage but it did not happen.

BuckeyeTheDog 01-20-2019 09:49 PM

I need to see the replay of where he was.

Agree that the OT could have been called an illegal formation on the same play.

They showed one crappy angle.

From what I’ve seen, you don’t call that. And it cost us the Super Bowl.

Mecca 01-20-2019 09:51 PM

The LT definitely not in the backfield. Romo just said that cause the flag was immediately thrown at the snap: it had to be a motion/formation on offense or offsides on defense.
The game wouldn't have been over either. Pats still had 3 timeouts. After 3 and out, Brady would've won it in regulation starting with :40.

bobbything 01-20-2019 10:01 PM

This was, literally, the one thing by that kept us from the Super Bowl.

It’s crazy to see a player like Tom Brady who’s so “blessed” with good fortune. I honestly don’t get it. If Ford had just lined up a foot back, we would be in the Super Bowl. It’s amazing. It’s like it’s scripted...for the last 20 years. Every team gets some good fortune along the way to a Super Bowl but this is ****ing absurd.

This ****ing guy gets random WRs catching jump balls. He gets a “tuck” rule invented for him. He’s the golden child.

I don’t get it. And I can’t wait for him to go the **** away.

ARROW2DAKNEE 01-20-2019 10:02 PM

THIS GUY IS SO FOOKIN BAD MAN!!! HOW DO HE LINE UP IN NEUTER ZONE LIKE THAT!?!?!? FOOK MAN!

KCFTW 01-20-2019 10:08 PM

We led the league in most penalty yards / game this year. That is why you coach that BS out and take it seriously. It bit us at the worst possible time. I hate piling on the guy bc he did have a decent year, and it's just bad luck that it happened the same play we get a pick.

Brady still could have gotten the ball back with 1:20 something and no timeouts, so was not necessarily a guaranteed win.

Still hard to see how he lives this down...probably does need to be let go.

Deberg_1990 01-20-2019 10:10 PM

Where is the replay on this? I never saw it.

jimidollar 01-20-2019 10:10 PM

Worthless.

ROYC75 01-20-2019 10:32 PM

Ford clearly lined up in the neutral zone ! Bad mistake, you always check yourself with the LOS when you line up! Yes, it's easy to blame all of this on one play!

But this is just chickenshit!

Where was our pass blocking the 1st half? Run block ? 0 pts in the 1st half? Both games against NE this year we shit the bed the 1st half ! Man up, play better.

We should have never been in the position where you chicken little's want to blame it on one play!

Why could we not go on a 4 minute drive to close the game out in regulation ? That would have been the thing to do, our offense being our best defense on Brady's 2 minute drive.

Why bitch when maybe we could have went to the endzone 1 more time with 11 seconds left? Oh wait, if Pat had of thrown an INT, you would have blamed him? Hmmm?

BTW, didn't Pat miss Williams in the 1st half, wide open for a TD? Then we ended up punting?

Right, chicken little's!

The TV never actually showed it but you could tell Dee Ford has his arm slightly out further than everyone else.

Problem I have is, he had been doing it ALL GAME LONG...and they just decided to call it then.

**** you, NFL. What a shitty bunch of football on display today.

I can't root for either of those teams. **** the Rams, and **** the Cheatriots.

Basic fundamentals that you make sure you are lined up correctly.

jaa1025 01-20-2019 11:29 PM

The thing that makes this worse is the tackle is lined up too far back. If your going to call neutral zone infraction on Ford in that situation then you better throw a flag on the tackles.

Come on man are you suggesting Ford purposely played offsides to help Brady

bobhill 01-21-2019 12:03 AM

I hope found on road dead is playing for the Browns next yeat

ROYC75 01-21-2019 12:57 AM

1 player with just 1 play, you want to lay the blame on 1 play, sure it was a boneheaded play.

But so was Pat missing a wide open Williams in the 1st half for a TD. That's 6 or 7 pts and Ford is not the topic. Everybody is happy saying how great this team is, yadda yadda yadda.

What about the sack Pat took after that missed Williams play, takes us out of FG range. Sure Andy could have went for it. But we make that 3 pts, Ford's play is irrelevant.

What if Brady doesn't throw that Red Zone INT, we lose by more points! Yadda Yadda Yadda....

Damn the " what if " game sure is big when you have 100 + snaps in a game!

BryanBusby 01-21-2019 01:00 AM

Are we seriously blaming Pat for that? Lmao

RetiredSeniorChief 01-21-2019 01:00 AM

I am not, just trying to prove a point to the chicken little's that 1 play doesn't lose you the game, there are several plays responsible for it.

jimidollar 01-21-2019 02:44 AM

Except that Mahomes had some great plays to balance out his misses. Ford did absolutely nothing. He's trash.

It's just really tough to accept an error like this.

If a guy is trying to make a play and just fails then it's one thing. Shit just happens sometimes during the flow of the game. Like the Saints safety last year on the Diggs catch. Or hell, if Ford jumped the snap, it would be easier to accept.

But lining up in the neutral zone? Really tough to be tolerant of such a stupid ****in mistake.

Sure-Oz 01-21-2019 03:30 AM

Pissed at Dee Ford for the huge mistake but you gotta franchise him. He was great this year.

No. We should get rid of him. And Jones too who couldn't stop the run. And Houston who hasn't done anything this year. And we should consider benching Mahomes in favor of Henne to start the season to send a message that you do NOT lose in the AFCCG and release Tyreek Hill as we have Watkins who is more effective.

My dude.

You had me, then you lost me. Ford, yes he's gone. Sutton? Gone.

Gotta keep Chris Jones and Cheetah. I understand how upset you are. Trust me. But we can't cut the entire defense. As much as I understand wanting to...

Buddy, I'm kidding. Dee Ford ****ed up, but I promise you we're not in the AFCCG this season without him. He was one of the top-5 effective edge rushers in the NFL. We definitely will and definitely should franchise him.

Franchise him or release him. We have to quit giving out so many long term contracts on D. They almost never work out.

kcpasco 01-21-2019 07:33 AM

If you want to franchise him fine. But no way should they give him a long term contract. We already have enough wasted money on this defense. I could be wrong but Ford seems the type of player to go back to sucking once he gets paid.

I think he’s the exact guy that you franchise this year (rather than a longer extension). Finally is healthy for an entire season and excels in the exact way envisioned when we drafted him. We franchise him, keep the option to extend (or franchise again) if he becomes the next LT, see if Speaks can evolve, and continue in win-now mode rather than letting a talented player go.

Go fill in holes and build from the draft. I get that many of you can’t see straight because of anger, but we were really close with our existing team. This wasn’t a fluke.

dirk digler 01-21-2019 07:41 AM

Sorry you don’t or shouldn’t franchise a guy who can’t play all 4 downs on defense. He was such a liability against the run they put Speaks in and took him out.
