I think this was in the wrong place lol

Titty Meat 01-22-2019 07:58 PM

I dont think even Rex Ryan would have stopped the colts with Dante Robinson and Kendrick Lewis with an injured Hali and Houston and I wouldnt put the Titans loss on Sutton when the line was getting shredded once Jones went out and you had guys like Revis and Johnson out there.

I dont disagree Sutton should have been fired clearly his time was up but if the inside linebacker play doesnt improve and you have this secondary Brady is going to beat you.

Also yeah we should draft some guys but we also spent a whole draft on defense. I guess financially it isnt possible but they really should pry away a Pat Pete or Ramsey. That alone would have been enough to slow down Edelman even with Sutton that might have been the difference.

Hog's Gone Fishin 01-22-2019 08:02 PM

Yeah, we need to Draft a DC

RunKC 01-22-2019 08:49 PM

Terez said he expects us to go after pass rushers, corners andsafeties.

So basicly every defensive position. What an idea.

I hear the ones that get to the QB are pretty neat to have

Hard to sack the QB when he gets rid of it quickly. We had the best pass rush this year and LA's wasnt awful either. Weve already spent 2 high picks on pass rushers are you suggest we would draft some better than Ford,Houston, and Jones?

We led the league in sacks and had the worst defense of all time. We don't need pass rushers. We need guys that get the rb and pressure the QB up the middle. One damn great corner would help and one great ILB to replace Ragland.

Actually the Bengals had a worst defense

I agree with the Safeties part, but how does he not mention ILB? If Reggie Ragdoll is anywhere near the starting lineup next year then you might as well flush the season down the toilet before it even starts.

Hammock Parties 01-22-2019 09:14 PM

It's gonna be a fun offseason, boys.

Strap in.

mcaj22 01-22-2019 09:15 PM

Boy can't wait for them to sign this years David Amerson at CB and then close up shop at that position until training camp desperation kicks in.

Perez is still the best Chiefs reporter. Thanks for sharing

Exactly. Would have been cool if any of our DB's could cover someone. That way maybe it would have made Brady hold the ball a tad longer so our pass rush could have actually done some good.

I still miss Josh Looney

BigRedChief 01-22-2019 09:48 PM

Heard ESPN say the upcoming draft was a “defensive” draft. Deepest one in years.

More pass rushers? What the bloody hell did we get Speaks and Kpass for? There's so many holes on D I don't know why we'd focus on more pass rushers.

maybe cuz Justin Houston $21m, Ford $15m to tag.

Just a guess.

Or Speaks and Kpass aren't who they thought they were (although I think both are playing out of position in this defense).

Yeah, read it on here, they only need ten new starters. Everyone is garbage, no problem. Maybe Ty Law and Hugh Douglas are available?

Anybody check with their local realtor?

Veach tried to sign Kyle Fuller, too....he accepted another offer sheet for 14m per.

He was first team all-pro this year.

And tried to trade for Earl Thomas...broke his leg or would have DEFINETELY been a difference maker for us.

And tried to trade for Landon Collins...

It wasn’t like the guy was sitting on his hands. He was trying to add ELITE talent to the defense.

Rawlsian 01-22-2019 10:12 PM

Shouldn't they focus on replacing Ragland? I guess find a pass rusher if they can't afford Dee Ford

I'm sure they'll add to any position in which they see an upgrade. Expect a lot of fresh faces and maybe even some surprise cuts.

I'm going to go ahead and predict-

goodbye:
Houston June 1
Berry June 1
Sorensen June 1

cap savings: $28 million dollars.

Sorensen will be here. My bad MVP Sorensen
Berry will gone.
Houston will either restructure or gone or traded

oldman 01-22-2019 10:37 PM

I fully expect to see Berry gone. I think Houston knows this is his best chance to get a ring and that's worth more to him now. He'll restructure. Ragland will be gone, especially if our new DC wants to go to a 4-3 or some kind of similar hybrid. I don't look for Morse to be resigned and maybe we let Nelson walk. Both of those guys could take some cash to retain.

2019 really is Andy's best chance at winning the SB. Eric Berry hopefully plays above average. They find someone better than Ragland and solidify the run game. Young secondary will have more experience.

Only thing that can stop us: Hill/Kelce/Mahomes injury or Andy Reid heart attack

thank god for the draft picks and an offseason to get the young defensive guys up to speed. offense should expect to look near identical other than conley who looks to be a cap casualty. west will be gone too.
