Well, you’ve had enough time now. Which is it?

Stryper was pretty good, but I wasn't enough of a fan to remember any of their songs.

I find this offensive and troll`esque in nature - Deberg is trying to have a civil conversation with the Cp'ers and you come in here pissing all over the people - I've had it up to hear with your bullshit! (.. and demand this be vocaroo'd.)

HC_Chief 04-13-2019 11:21 AM

For my money, it's got to be Infant Annihilator. Their message is wholesome and pure, not too syrupy sweet like the 80s Christian Metal bands, but gentle and kind, nonetheless.

The Agony Scene, although they were one of the bands to use the label despite obvious non Christian lyrics. 'The Agony Scene' and 'Darkest Red' were good albums. Their cover of "Paint it Black" is sick

Out of curiosity, what do you listen to?

I'm not a believer myself, but some of the late 90s/early 2000s Christian metal and hardcore was just as heavy as anything else out there. Some badass bands.

I listen to a lot of stuff. Fairly open minded except for pop/r&b shit and Seether type buttrock. I like metal, but it runs more in the old school shit for that genre. Gonna go see Tool here in a month or so and that's about as heavy as my tastes typically run.

I will continue to troll this thread though. A deberg Xtian mETal thread deserves it.

Fair enough. I listen to anything that isn't rap, modern "r&b", or techno as well. Not a giant fan of modern rock though either, but I'm not going to throw a fit if I'm exposed to it. Too each their own

I don’t know much about the other bands, but did have the pleasure of seeing Stryper last summer in St. Louis at the Pageant

You can like their message or not, but let me tell you they have only gotten heavier over the years and are all outstanding musicians, they sounded incredible

Michael Sweet in particular is very respected in mainstream rock circles, having sang for Boston on their last tour, as well as having ongoing side projects with George Lynch from Dokken

I know a lot of people dog on them, but I ****in like Dokken. Not too familiar with Stryper though.

I didn't know Flyleaf was a Christian band? I liked a couple of their songs and wanted to bang their singer. She was a weird kind of hot.

What about Jars of Clay? They had that one song that was pretty decent lol.

I mean, I’m not sure if they are card carrying members in the club or whatever, but they came up on a Christian label and have Christian lyrics.

For the record, that’s a club that would definitely not allow me as a member, so maybe I’m not the best judge of these things. I’ve always considered to be a Christian band though.

Only one I've seen is Red. Crowd wasn't very Christian though.
