we'll probably play in NE on Thursday, then play in London on Sunday.

That QB duel will be the best we’ve seen at Arrowhead since Montana was here.

I'm sticking with the rumor I head a while back:

Bears/Packers on Thursday night, Chiefs/Patriots on Sunday night.

The former is already confirmed. The Patriots are definitely hosting the SNF game but opponent is TBD.

hell, with Pat..... I honestly don't care where we play any more. Gone are the days where I basically chalk up road games as a 30% chance of winning.

Playing the Pats first is a huge advantage for us. Andy always has new wrinkles early in the season.

a new wrinkle to our defense is not having Nelson.

Why do you feel that way? The biggest change from the AFCCG is that our defense is going to be completely revamped, and they'll have little to no clue what we're going to throw at them. That if anything gives us an advantage. And remember: the Patriots - according to all of their fans - don't actually start to try until December. Yet another plus. I'd much rather play New England in Week 1 than at any other point in the schedule.

I started to reply that you didn’t seem like such a pussy when I met you before the AFCCG and you weren’t even really wearing a jacket in frigid weather. I was gonna ask what happened since.

But then I remembered the Patriots won said game and ripped our hearts out. So, I hear you. And the worst part of it all is even if we win it’ll probably seem a little hollow given that we did the same a couple years ago and it amounted to nothing.

I didn't say afraid...just tired. There are 31 other teams in the league, yet we play the Patriots in Foxboro every year, plus once in the playoffs for the last two. I'm just ready for something else.

Also, maybe I was just wearing a sweatshirt on the outside, but underneath that sweatshirt was a merino wool base layer, and underneath that was a long sleeve dri fit, and underneath that was some under armor cold gear.

Yes they can protect certain games after a certain week I believe. Could be wrong but I'm pretty sure that's why Pats-Steelers hasn't been a Sunday Night game recently.

Yes FOX/CBS get to select certain games on their conference slates to protect.

Also, do people have schedule release watch parties? I've never really cared about the schedule being released, as we already know who the Chiefs are playing, but I'm curious if people like really celebrate it?

I agree. But the way the NFL hypes it, I was curious if people actually did this. OR if the NFL is just oblivious to what is real.

I am glad to not be in NE for the opener. I feel that's like catching a break.

We got the shaft last season with prine time road games. Looks like we may this yearbas well. Bears and Chargers so far. Charger is not as bad since it's Mexico at least and it won't be moved for an LA telethon.

Week 11 - at Los Angeles Chargers for Monday Night Football in Mexico City (Nov. 18, 7:15 p.m. Arrowhead Time) — confirmed by NFL

Week 12 - bye week (likely after international game)

So a few years ago it was predetermined that in 2019 we play another road game at NE? Is that right? I bet as soon as Brady retires the NE home schedule will look much different.

There’s no way Rodgers vs Mahomes won’t be prime time. The league would be stupid to not put those 2 on the big stage.

We’ll probably get a division rival at home on prime time too.

We’ll get the next prime time games which is 6.

Me too. My family is split down the middle so I haven’t missed a Chiefs/Bears game in years, but I’m not going to tough that out even if it’s probably my only shot at catching a game this year. If I’m freezing my ass off for a game it’s going to be at Arrowhead for the AFC Championship.
