Did AJ Smith trade way Eli Manning being good for the Chiefs?
"In 2004, the New York Giants and the Los Angeles Chargers made a trade that would forever change the course of both franchises. Moments after the Chargers selected Eli Manning with the first pick in the NFL draft, the team traded him to the Giants for Philip Rivers.
That deal had massive repercussions for both clubs. The Chargers used the extra picks to build a consistent winner around Rivers. The Giants held on to Osi Umenyiora, whose pass-rushing prowess helped Manning lead the team to two Super Bowl wins. While both teams benefitted greatly, the Chargers never won the Super Bowl under general manager A.J. Smith. Despite that, Smith says trading away Manning was “the most satisfying moment for me in my career,” according to SB Nation..." Link:https://sports.yahoo.com/former-char...192137747.html |

Did OP thread make good away for CP?
|
Don't think it really mattered. Chargers wouldn't have won shit with Eli. Hell, they might've been worse with Eli.

Wouldn't the whole thing.

I think I know what the OP is asking.
And the answer is no - Rivers is better than Eli Manning. He's ALWAYS been better than Eli Manning. And the fact that Manning is going to get into the HoF is one of the most laughably ridiculous things we will ever see. Eli Manning isn't very good and never has been. At his best he was a top 8ish sort of quarterback. Rivers, OTOH, has been a legitimate MVP candidate on several occasions and a multi-time All Pro. The Chargers would've been total dogshit the last 15 years or so with Eli Manning under center. |
Did question make brain hurt real?

If OP was using speech to text it's probably time for an F.A.S.T. test.

I think question the resolved would be if and Rivers finish off their winners and get their Superbowl legacy teams.

I have never seen a QB look equally as great and terrible as Eli. One play will have you saying "Wow, what touch and precision" and the next play will have you saying "A junior high school QB would have shown better wisdom." His career is quite the conundrum |

I'd rather listen to Gary Joshlin and Mike Mayock face off in a poetry slam than try and decipher that thread title.

...or he could have just typed that in the thread title box. We must assume that he intentionally typed what he did. |

The title reminds me of this bit from Lewis Black:

I don't want to play rivers in the playoffs after winning the series during reg season. Beating 1 team 3 times in a year is very unlikely
