Backup TE?
Right now our biggest hole on the roster is the backup TE position. Veach has to know that we can’t roll into the season with the BELLDOZER as our backup.
Kelce is coming off a surgery but should be ready for training camp. We need a solid blocking TE but someone who can catch as well. So far Veach has done has done jack shit to address this position. Right now the depth chart goes Kelce, Bell, Yelder, Wells. If I was Veachid be looking to trade for Kyle Rudolph. May cost a little but now we don’t have to worry about Tyreek, that money can be used elsewhere. |
Would the Vikings take a 2nd round pick for Trae Waynes and Kyle Rudolph as a package?

We did sign that Logan kid.

I'd love to get Maxx Williams. I don't care if we overpay.
What about Jermaine Gresham on a 1-year deal? Prior to last year, he was normally good for 400-500 yards and a few touchdowns. He’s a free agent.
We should’ve jumped all over O’Shaughnessy when we became available. He’s turned into one of the best blocking TE’s in football.
Biggest hole and it’s not on defense?

No trading future picks for a #2 TE.

BALDWIN TIGHT END |
Look for a marginal player already on the roster that can block. We made Boomer Grigsby a FB, McKenzie a G, Tyler Palko a Q -- nevermind. Why not try Kpass 6'7"/289 a shot? Surely his hands can't be any worse than Harris's. Don't forget we have David Wells and Deon Yelder as TEs now.
I'd bet Jones or that pick Saunders would block his ass off if you'd toss him a pass every game or two. DL will do ANYTHING to get to play offense every once in a while.
Move the Sausage to H-Back. He can perform both the FB and the 2nd TE roles.
If kelvin benjamin got some stick em on his gloves he could be TE 2 ROFL
Saunders actually had a rushing TD and a receiving TD in college. I’m all for a Jones wildcat pass to Saunders!
KPass at TE would be interesting tbh. I actually like this idea.

New England traded a 4th to Chicago for Martellus Bennett and a 6th in 2016 and he had 55 catches for 700 yards and 7 TDs because Gronk happened to get hurt that year. Bennett was every bit as productive in Chicago as Rudolph in Minnesota, so flipping a 5th for him or something is hardly not worth it. I suggested, basically, trading a 2nd for Trae Waynes at CB and trying to get Rudolph as part of the package. That would help the Vikings cap situation immensely and give KC 2 huge pieces they need. |
